I stayed here a few years ago. For a family reunion.
The real name of this restaurant is the Tremont Plaza. It's connected to the Tremont Grand, a conference center, by a pedestrian bridge. Since the two facilities are on a hill, things get a little confusing. The fifth floor of the hotel connects to the second floor of the conference center.
I travel a lot, and I love suite hotels. The rooms are generally large, there's a kitchenette, and there's a living-room area with a couch, all somewhat separated from the bedroom. With a little fridge and a microwave in the kitchenette, you can stock up at a grocery store and avoid some high-priced restaurant meals. Some suite hotels also have small 2-burner ranges, but not this one, alas.
The staff here is terrific. I got really sick, and they were willing to send someone to the Walgreens a couple of blocks away to get a couple of things that I needed. (The person who did that for me earned a very large tip.) In addition, the housekeeping staff understood that I didn't want them to come in to clean, and they left new towels and other supplies in a bag hanging on the door.
The room rates were quite reasonable: about $139/night including free wired high-speed internet in the rooms and wireless in the lobby and conference center.
The hotel restaurant, Tugs, is nothing to write home about, but there's a little take-out deli at street level that will help you stock your kitchenette.
