It's close to home with yummy homestyle cooking, including a pretty nice burger (next time I am so trying the gorgonzola burger), and a fantastic special today that my husband loved. The service is friendly and pretty quick and the atmosphere of the interior is clean and open. Next time (did I mention we're going to be going again), we'll try and sit outside, but today was just too hot! And next time, there will be some drinking.

Food: two thumbs up. Service: two thumbs up. Atmosphere: Homey goodness.

Food was just standard gross bar food.

Beer was good. They've got a tv for games. Doesn't every other sports bar too?

I went here because I got miles on my United mileage plus card. What a waste.

We had a really good experience here this past summer. Good service decent food all in quiet, relaxed space with a calm easy going crowd.

Fast forward to February and it's become a tad (or a lot) chaotic in here if you're looking for your normal night out with your friends, over the usual bar food/ beverages. This can get fairly busy on any given night and if the band's playing just be aware that it can get very loud in here.

The service is still fine, while at times a little odd... but the weird bar area should probably just be for drinks and not dining. We ate in here and it was a crampt, interesting/ weird experience.

A few too many big screens and a very compartmentalized space makes this an interesting scene. It's definitely got it's regulars which is great. They're definitely doing something right here. It's just not for me.

I still haven't had the chance to try their veggie burger, which I hear is great. If I could have it delivered, I'd be sold!

The "Grand Opening" sign lured me in...well that and my friend wanted to check it out.  The only thing was, once inside, I felt like I was caught in the middle of a teenager's identity crisis (only for a bar).

To put it plainly, the new bar & grill is confused -- part sports bar, part diner, and part strange modern decor, but with thick wood tables.  Its as though the new owner took everything she's loved in other bars piecemeal and assembled them together in this new space.  The effect is...well...its like you'd imagine it would feel to be in the mind of a young teen trying to decide what she thinks is "the coolest."

Other than that, the menu was simple (burger, sandwhich, pizza, salad, soup, etc) and the wine and beer selections were not small.  The Cobb salad I ordered was supremely wonderful though (hence the three stars)--all the ingredients were fresh and wholesome (no iceberg lettuce, real seasoned grilled chicken).  So clearly the strengths of this place are in the kitchen for now.

I'm hoping the Treehouse grows into its new home a bit more and finds out what its trying to be because all the right ingredients are there: friendly crowd, nice servers, really quality food, and a well-lit dining area.  I wish them the best!

"Meh.  I've experienced better," is the best way to describe my time here.

Reading the other reviews, it's possible I caught Treehouse on a bad night... but I sincerely doubt it.  The food was blah, the service was filled with plenty of attitude, and the patrons were an obvious spill over from the BBB next door (read, salty characters).

My salad was covered in onions, and my wine smelled like cat urine.  Hubby got a burger, which he said was okay, but his potato skins were burnt to a crisp.

So next time when The Traveler is completely full (which is how we ended up here to begin with), we'll walk a little further south to Hale's.

Dropped by the Treehouse on a late morning/early Saturday afternoon to have our first meal of the day.  Sat ourselves at an open table in their nook of a bar and waited for someone to notice we had arrived.  There was one gal (I think she is the owner) serving everyone . . .  in the entire restaurant and bar.  It wasn't until she returned to the bar and saw us that she said she would be right over.

We ordered drinks and perused the menu until she brought out our drinks and took our order.  My friend said "Wow - you're the only one working?"  To which she responded "It's okay."

It's okay for whom?  For you - the owner - who doesn't have to pay for extra help when 2/3rds of your seats are occupied (including those on the back deck)?  Or it's okay for those customers who have to wait to catch your attention while you're running every which way?  It really wasn't okay.

The waitress/owner had recommended the Huevos Rancheros, so that's what the friend ordered - and I had the Teriyaki Burger with Potato Skins.  The Huevos were really dry and not very flavorful.  The Teriyaki Burger was okay - but had A LOT of teriyaki sauce on the burger itself and the bun as well.  I ended up scraping the majority off onto the plate.  The Potato Skins were actually quite delicious - and we ended up eating those completely and leaving some of each of our main dishes on the plates.

As we were driving away we started discussing how I was going to Yelp this review.  We go out to eat alot, and we tend to enjoy going to the same places if we enjoy the food, service and atmosphere.  Treehouse Bar and Grill won't be added to that list anytime soon.

Wow, house made veggie burgers - I haven't seen THAT before.  The Treehouse makes it's own Veggie Burgers, and they are really good!  Gluten free, too.  As I was warned by the waitress, they look pretty weird (they are green!) but extremely delicious.  They also allowed me to substitute the meat on one of their entree salads with one of these burgers and charged me a dollar less, hurray!

I like their outdoor patio a good deal, it's the perfect casual summer evening spot for a beer and some grub.  Wines, except for one $5 red and $5 white, are a little steep around 7-8 bucks a glass.  But the bottles are all right around 24, so next time I'm bringing a wine drinkin' buddy and just getting a bottle.  Down the hatch, bottle buddy!

I'm not entirely sure what my problem with this place was. Maybe I went on a bad day?  The server was friendly enough and the food was definitely good (the special that day was a crab-stuffed shrimp po' boy) but I was just underwhelmed by the whole experience.  I was also underwhelmed by the beer selection.

Maybe I'll give it a second chance when the weather warms up a little and we can sit outside.

Dead honest, I didn't try any of the food, I actually went for the band that was playing (Alma Desnuda which means "Naked Soul" in Spanish, look how educational my review is!) All I had was a Bud Light, soooo this review is completely about the venue and the experience sans food and drink.

That being said - holy crap, what a fun random hour and a half of a Thursday night! Alma Desnuda juggled 7 different instruments among 4 guys and absolutely no one in the house was sitting down for their set. After being served my Bud, the bartenders let down their hair (no, literally) and joined the dance party. It was the company that made this happenin'

The big-screen tvs with sports games on was a little distracting and the place is relatively small. I decided against the food since I wasn't willing to shell out $9.95 for an appetizer, those are NOT bar food prices!

I'll come for some more live music again to shake up an otherwise ho-hum weeknight.

This is a great place to go when you want a casual atmosphere, friendly service and good food. The staff is always genuinely friendly and pay attention to the customers needs.
As a vegetarian allergic to dairy, soy and gluten, there are actually 2 dishes I can eat with minimal modification!
Relaxed atmosphere to watch sports games with friendly patrons as well.

This review should have been posted weeks ago, but better late than never.  We had actually visited the Treehouse during it's first week of business and liked it enough to go back.  For this trip we brought along a couple of good friends and it surpassed our already high expectations.

We went for dinner after 8pm on a Sunday night and everything was excellent.  We were greeted and served by an very warm and welcoming lady who seemed sincerely pleased to have us there.  We were informed that there was a bbq special consisting of ribs and Portuguese linguica.  I was expecting some decent food, but it ended up being unbelievably great!

You just can't top cold beer, ribs that fall off the bone, and truly unsurpassable service in a comfortable environment.  (If the weather's cooperating, check out the great patio.) This place is a gem on the outskirts of Fremont and while I can't promise you a bbq special, I can say that anyone in their right mind that wants a change in pace from the over-crowded Fremont strip should head over to the Treehouse for a great meal and good times.

If there's a special, you should probably order it - as it will be.  And you should probably head there... now.

I ordered the portobello mushroom burger stuffed with pesto goat cheese and it was great! It came with a side, I got a lovely salad with balsamic vinegarette. My friend ordered the buffalo chicken burger, which I will be getting next time because it looked awesome. The fries and potato skins are killer (I had some off of friends' plates). One detail I enjoy at burger places is when they give you the traditional fixins on the side, like the lettuce, tomato, onion and allow you to pile on as you please. Great touch!

Service was friendly and food good. Portions are HUGE and their bread pudding dessert that I took to go is almost more like a flan and totally worth the calories!

I can't wait to go back and try more!

I was a little confused when I walked in.  Noticed the tiny room to the right of the entrance (figured that was the former smoking area just not remodeled?), saw the bar directly in front of me, then started heading on my own to a table under one of the 5 or so big-screens.

Got caught off-guard by the servers asking if we wanted to be seated.  OK, I get it now, there are seat-yourself areas (tiny bar area to the right, the 6 seats or so directly as you enter), and please-wait-to-be-seated areas (all the tables).  But if I'm going for a PW2BS place though, I don't really want a big screen distraction everywhere I turn.

    We ordered the following:
2 beers (nice, tall, icy glasses!)

jalapeno cheddar burger, add bacon, with potato skins (YUM on the skins!  Good burger, not dry, LOTS of jalapenos)

ham, egg & cheese burger, salad, blue cheese (YUM on the burger, salad had a nice mix of stuff wasn't just a pile of lettuce, dressing was a little runny but tasted good)

I would say the "ambience" is in between Hale's and Ballard Grill, both just a few doors south.  Treehouse is doing its best filling that middle ground nicely, but perhaps having an identity crisis.  Sports bar with plasma wallpaper, or casual restaurant with good food and a large by-the-glass wine selection?  You can't please everyone, I think they need to choose their target audience and will be successful whichever they pick.

Simply a great place to grab reasonably priced food and drinks.  They present an ecclectic menu with maliciously delicious meals that all offer something just a bit different than your ordinary garden-variety bar & grill.  A turkey club served on grilled cheddar-crusted bread?  A HUGE hit.  The gardenburger is surprisingly good, and they have a decent selection of beers on tap as well as a decent run of wines.

The Treehouse is a small, cozy joint with a great patio that will be useful in about another eight months, but the layout is unique.  I highly recommend giving this place a try--you'll find something that matches your pallet, and you likely won't walk away disappointed.

They are definitely minimalists in the staffing department, so be prepared to be patient...but I don't know what you'd really be expecting from a place that tops their menu out at $15.00 plates.  Suck it up, and enjoy the ambiance and the food.

This is one of those places that makes you ask yourself: Is this really Diet Coke or did someone slip in some Generic Cola. LOL. Not.

Which is weird since it's gota / is a pub. Hmm.

I really liked the Nachos the first time, the second (last) time, they came out over-cooked and lacking.

I kind of liked the Turkey sandwich but it was kind of greasy and didn't have a lot of meat. I tasted mostly bread. :(

Basically, if I lived in the hood, maybe I'd give it a try and do some hand-holding when ordering, if I cared that much.

But why should I? Why should anyone? Make consistently good pub food and figure out service basics. It ain't rocket science babe

We went here last night and were really disappointed. There were only two other tables occupied when we came in along with a couple people at the bar. As in many other reviews, the owner lady was waiting on everyone. It took her at least 10 minutes to come over to our table after we were seated. The atmosphere is definitely unique and we liked that. I wasn't crazy about TV's in the dining area though.

I ordered the steak salad with balsamic dressing and he had the Reuben with tater tots. The Reuben was good but not as big as he wanted and the tots were tots. I ordered my salad without mushrooms and onions (I don't like raw mushrooms on my salad) and subbed out avocado. The dressing was really good, I think it said on the menu that it was homemade, but the salad itself was really blah: lettuce, steak (with no flavor), and peppers.

They failed to remember to put the avocado on the salad but we were still charged for them, nice.

The service was pretty bad and she was constantly eating off her kids (I'm guessing) plates of food who were seated at the bar which is just really unprofessional.

What happened to the Treehouse? We would frequent this restaurant when it first opened and it was great. But this past weekend when we went back after a long break, and it was different. I think our server was drunk. The food was so-so and the clientele was crazy.

I will miss the old Treehouse.

This place is really good for lunch and for dinner.  The home-made veggie burger is seasoned really well and not as dry as a chick-pea based patty would suggest.  The prices are very reasonable for dinner though on the high side for lunch.  (PS: It's the same menu for both).

My complaint comes from my most recent visit when I ordered the soup.  The server said it had something to do with chicken and chili.  Was it a chicken chili?  Was it a chicken soup with chilies in it?  Lo and behold, it was a chicken chowder complete with potatoes and a creamy base.  It was tasty but the server had no idea what was in the pot.

All in all, the food is pretty good but stick with the sandwiches or burgers and you'll be fine.

A fine establishment located in Frelard.

We bought a few of those daily coupon things, $10 for $25 or something. Each time we went, I ordered the exact same thing, the most delicious bleu cheese burger EVER, the Gorgonzola Bacon Burger. I'm one of those people that eats all the bleu cheese that comes with my food. If some falls out of my burger, I immediately pick it up and save it like it's going to disappear.
I cannot lose any single piece of bleu cheese, I'm pretty sure it's sacrilegious to waste bleu cheese.
    I'm also a fan of bacon, so it's like a double-win.

Good beers on tap, including my favorite, Dead Guy. Varying seasonal beers.
    Some domestic piss-tasting beer in a can/bottle.
    Good HH prices.

You should go there, like right now. Get a burger. Get a beer. Get happy.

This is my first try at a somewhat dismal review.  I have actually deliberated long and hard as to what to say in here, so I'll try to stick to the facts.  I have to say, the owner is the NICEST lady ever, and that she is indeed delightful to watch.  She practically glows talking about how this restaurant is the culmination of all her dreams!  And in addition, I will also say that I liked the decor on the inside.  Nice colors, nice tables... although the WWE playing on the big screen tv's everywhere was definitely a bit of a clash.  Keep that on in the bar, sure - but it was strangely distracting with dinner to see body slamming and sweaty half-naked men a-wraslin' with each other.

My twinge of uneasiness started as we sat down.  The waitress cleared off the table and I smelled the distinctly sticky-sweet smell that I immediately associate with bars - it must be a disinfectant of some sort?  It just always smells a bit like vomit and stale beer.  Could just be an association in my own mind, but it detracted a few points.  I don't like to smell that smell or have my elbows rest in the lingering stickiness on the table top.  Second, the menu is basic and perhaps in that vein you shouldn't need much description, but call me crazy to enjoy a little rundown of exactly what is in every dish.  I guess that's another thing that may be peculiar to moi.  Next up was the fresh squeezed lemonade/limeade... very odd taste that I couldn't put my finger on!  The uneasiness grew... We ordered the steak special, that comes with a salad and mashed potatoes on the side, the bf ordered the club sandwich with the potato skins on the side.  All I can say is that when the food came out, we sort of stared at each other with a look of surprise.  The mashed potatoes were proudly drenched in gravy, but I have so say that it was very much like what you would get at a cafeteria.  The gravy was so very, very salty with an oily sheen to it... and the steak? The mushrooms on top were garlicky and good, but the steak itself was... kind of gross.  And I wish I could have taken a picture of the club sandwich.  It might have been miscommunication when in the menu it said "cheese bread" was used as the outer layers of the sandwich. I was thinking cheese bread, kind of like how shredded cheese is in a cheese bagel.  Well, it's like melted cheese on both sides of the bread.  Like an oily slab of it - so when you pick it up, you are touching the slabs.  You have probably never seen the likes of such a gut buster, wow!  It actually made me giggle a bit.  The insides were okay, but having it also be slathered in mayo on the other side of the bread, plus more cheese on the inside, it was just a little too much to stomach.

So this is just a word of warning, I have to say that I've only been here once and have not tried anything else on the menu.  I just feel like this place has more potential - I certainly like an easy place where I don't have to dress up or spend a ton, but the inside of this place is so nice to look at, I don't think it would be a terrible thing if the food was upgraded just a notch or two!  Otherwise you might as well go to the 4 B's which certainly has its place in my heart and stomach.

During football season, the holy grail of a restaurant/bar is the kind of place where my boyfriend and I can go with a large group of friends, where he can watch football, where I can knit and not watch football, where the food is delicious and their idea of beer selection does not include the word "light."  The Treehouse is this place.  The waitstaff is friendly, doesn't mind if you hang out and monopolize an entire corner of the restaurant for over four hours, will let you change the channel to watch the game you're interested in, and keeps the tasty treats coming without hovering.  I would recommend this place to everyone, unless you hate awesome things.  In which case, we probably won't be friends.

The grand opening sign caught my eye so I stopped for lunch.  I had a cob salad that was without question and by far the best I've ever experienced.  I was completely taken.  Even without the superb lunch it would have been worth it just to watch the owner handle the entire place by herself and still have time to be very charming.  It's pretty fun to watch someone engage in what is clearly a labor of love.

The Treehouse tries to be a little bit different and I applaud them for that but they seem to just miss the mark each time.

The menu is very sandwich-centric and reasonably priced with each coming with your choice of house cut fries, fried potato skins, potato salad, slaw or tater tots. In my couple of visits I was able to sample three burgers/sandwiches and a salad.

The first time there The Wife and I sat inside. The interior is nothing special and there are flat screens positioned in the dining area. This is your first clue that this isn't a "fine dining" establishment; more like a large bar. The menu has a small selection of bar type appetizers followed by salads, a half dozen entrees then burgers and sandwiches. I selected a New York Strip salad while The Wife had the special for that day; a Calamari Burger. I was extremely surprised when my salad arrived with what looked like an 8-10 oz. steak sitting on top of a pile of romaine mixed with onions and feta. The steak was cut into 5 or 6 slices making for rather difficult eating sitting there on top of all that salad. I must say that the meat was very tender but it did not have a whole lot of flavor. I would have rather seen a beef cut with more intense flavor sliced into ready-to-eat thin slices. I was impressed with the tenderness of the calamari in the burger but the advertised chipotle mayo was not even noticeable.

We went back yesterday and sat out in the patio area. I have to give them credit for trying to make an oasis while fronting Leary Avenue but there really isn't too much you can do. I had a Buffalo Chicken Burger with blue cheese. The chicken breast was tender and expertly cooked but once again, the small things got in the way. The Buffalo sauce was completely overwhelmed by the crumbled blue cheese. I think a blue cheese sauce or dressing would have been a better choice. The Wife enjoyed her very unique Veggie Burger made free of gluten and soy but I found it a bit too course in texture.

The Treehouse is a fine place to have a cold Stella and enjoy some bar food while taking in a game. The prices are reasonable and the menu has a good number of selections but you might want to stick to the more basic items. Both visits I found the service to be attentive and friendly.

They have NFL ticket here.  The TV setup is not quite ideal (wish there were more).  Tends to have some loud 'hawks fans, but when we've gone on Sunday we've had a little AFC north corner of the bar.  Food and services is good.

Treehouse is an awesome find. Good food. Good friends. Good times.

If you've read some of my other reviews, you'll know the boyfriend is a chicken wing addict/gourmet.  He really only goes to St. Andrews for the wings, but is always up to the pepsi challange at other places.  Treehouse's wings are more than acceptable to the man with superior wing tastebuds.  Most importantly, I like their wings better than St. Andrews' so I get what I want.

Service is awesome.  Waitresses are no nonsense and kind and genuinely want you there to have a good time.   I feel as if they all have a good story or two under their belts.

Turkey club is fit for two and is delish.  Potato skins rock and for the tator tot team (i'm not on that team) I hear the tots are great.

They are also on mileage plus dining, so get a beer, grab some wings, watch some ball and get miles all at the same time.

    I likey!

Great lunch grub. "Where the service sucks but the foods great" Great interior, nice large outside patio for those three or four summer days.

I think the vast majority of 4-5 star ratings speaks for itself!!  SO good!  The servers are great and the food is fantastic!  The BBQ pork sandwich is one of my favorite sandiwches ever, and Im a sandwich fanatic!  The Rueben is easily the best in Seattle, as well.  GREAT place for an early Saturday afternoon when you're, a'hem, 'not feeling your best'...  Any of their sandwiches will set you straight!

Ordered the soup of the day (baked potato and bacon something-or-other) which came out luke-warm. We had to ask for it to be nuked; the servers response to our request was more of an annoyance than anything. The soup came out much warmer, but without so much as an apology for the less-than yummy food nor did the waitress ever ask if our food (including the re-heated soup) was good. We also ordered the ribs, which were surprisingly delicious (being from Texas and experiencing good BBQ).

Overall, the food was pretty good; if you're OK with bad service and are ok with eating the food as it was presented (even if that means luke-warm). Our overall gripe, and the reason we ultimately will not be returning is with the poor service. Waiting 20 minutes with empty beers in the middle of a restaurant is just bad form. Our server simply could care less about actually serving us!

We ate here today after buying $25 for $10 on living social.  Sat in the bar. Good service, and good burgers. My boyfriend had a jalapeno burger and I, a mushroom and swiss but with a veggie patty. It was the best veggie patty I've had in Seattle. It's different and fresh! We will return.

I had been to a few of the restaurants that occupied the space that Treehouse Bar & Grill currently occupies and hadn't ventured to try Treehouse.  One night when my other options were either closed or busier than I wanted to deal with I gave it a shot.  I was very glad I decided to try out Treehouse.  The food, service and atmosphere were great.  I had a burger with the potato skins.  The potato skins are light and crispy like fries, not the typical grease pools of cheese and bacon.

It's definitely on the list of restaurants I will frequently visit.

We happened to wander in here on a Saturday whilst out shopping in Ballard (which we don't do very often) and wanted to actually stop in to Dish, which is next door. Dish was closed, so we thoughts we'd give this place a try. And we were so glad we did!

The owner is very nice, helpful, and sweet. The food is excellent, I highly recommend one of their burgers and the fried potato skins! There was a lot of great looking stuff on the menu that I'd love to go back and try, including the baily's irish cream bread pudding (which is made with a cinnamon roll). They have daily special "themes"...including Thursday: exotic meats. Can't wait to go back!

The only decent part of this place was the beer selection. We sat at the bar.  The place is dark and woody on the inside, and they have a deck that may be nice during better weather.  The lady serving us seemed really frustrated with the kitchen and had to go back in several times to see if various items were still available.  My salad was virtually the core of an iceburg head of lettuce and both of our meals were cold.    We will not be returning to eat here.

Driven by Treehouse a million times and finally the bf and I stopped in there to check it out.  We were not going to eat there this time just check the place out and have a few beers......Not going to happen, had to order the turkey club, with soup and the bread pudding for dessert.  The Bf is better disciplined then me and ordered just a side salad.  The turkey club was insane good, I like that cheese bread they use great idea made it that much better.  The soup was a chicken, veggie, crab soup with a broth base, so good, didn't have to doc it up like I have to always do with other soups, and the bread pudding...... the complaint there is I didn't get more, knocked me off the couch.  The beers were cold and refreshing, the BF had some beers he never had before, that says alot because he KNOWS his beers, very cute clean place, service is great but best of all Charlie works there, I love Charlie.  We will be back again really soon and again and again, there are many things on the menu I want to try, but will leave room for that bread pudding, always.  Oh and the chef was great as well.
