I love Treats for the Face!!!

First of all, Veronica is sweet as can be.  I hadn't seen her in three years (away at law school) and when I came in a month ago for my first bikini wax in three years not only did she remember me, but she remembered my boyfriend (now fiance) and that I was a lawyer-to-be.

Secondly, let's talk about the wax.  Veronica does not f*** around.  She gets in, gets out and does a great job.  She's quick without being brutal.  She's great at shaping the bikini area, I always get perfect little triangles with nary a stray hair to be found.   The wax itself is heaven-sent -- it's  chocolate hard wax that goes on warm, cools hard, then is pulled away.  It's much gentler and more sanitary than muslin strips in my experience.

Third -- the shop!  Oh my gosh it's little a girly paradise.  Cute, trendy clothes (no plus sizes that I noticed, though, so I just browsed), and a great selection of lotions and potions and stuff for the bath.  So much fun!  Her staff is great too -- everyone is sweet and makes you feel right at home.

Lastly, the after-effects of the wax.  Veronica's waxes are the only times I have ever NOT had an ingrown after a bikini wax.  It was smooth for at least two and a half weeks, by week three there was some stubble but very little itchiness or discomfort and NO INGROWNS.  The first time I went to Veronica I had a disaster with shaving and she hand plucked at least a dozen ingrowns from my bikini area (she's so awesome) and since then I've been loyal to her and had not one single red rash or painful bump on my bikini area.

Prices -- not the cheapest, but do you really want to get a cheap bikini wax?  Come on now.  The prices are definitely consistent with comparable salons.

With my wedding coming up, I think I need to start going here for facials too.  :)

I've gone here for Brazilian waxing I LOVE it. Not only was the chocolate wax virtually painless, Veronica ROCKS. She was so friendly and warm. I would drive 1.5 hours to get to Treats for the face from my house. It was always worth it  (no ingrown hair is ALWAYS worth it for me).

I've seen some very bad places where they have "double dipped". There is none of that going on here. Would you really want to go to a place where they did that?

Now that I'm back in CA I need to make another appointment.

It sucks coming home from a wax job and having people tell you your legs feel like you havent shaven in two days. I am really prickly and its only be a couple hours!

Firstly, I think Veronica waxed me? I am not sure because the woman stormed in without introducing herself or asking for my name. Talk about unprofessional. I guess that happens when you plaster your face across the awning of your shop so that 101 commuters get a glimpse.

The wax she used was really good quality. Especially the dark one, but dont let the catchy sweet names fool you. This stuff does not resemble nor smell like chocolate or toffee. Its called marketing, and I was a sucker for it.

Speaking of marketing I was looking forward to my "painless" wax experience. Definitely not painless, and on the leg it was no less painful than regular wax. Wax on the hoo-ha (yeah, I said it) was pretty good though. The behind was the best. Least painful there, but I wont lie and say I did not feel it.

Mystery wax woman stormed out faster than she stormed in. Probably to fix her lipstick, and avoid her lousy work.

Overall VERY expensive and not worth the cost.  Sorry, Treat for the Face! Just because I am not a blonde skinny bimbo, or a rich mans trophy wife, does not mean you can give me bad service.

They are the best in the wax biz, which between me and you can probably be a bit nasty at times (job hazard?) ! LOL! I always see her in the summer and right before I give birth (don't want to scare the delivery nurses!! Eeeek!!) she's the only one I feel comfortable with...a real class act. I will never go anywhere else. Thank God for Treats for The Face....

I live in Northern California and travel to LA for work each week and after experience at salons in several cities, I will not go anywhere else other than Treats for Brazilian waxing.  Veronica and her staff are personable and down-to-earth despite being having such a bustling place (favored by starlets).  Why is the waxing experience so great?  The no-strip wax, formulated by Veronica herself to pull off only hair and not stick to your skin.  Expertise and application.  Staff personality.  A TV in the treatment room to distract you from the normally dreadful procedure.  And frequent discounts and promos offered both on Yelp and their website.

Also:  The salon just expanded their space, plus there is always the cute boutique for clothes and accessories.

For the best waxing (Brazilian) experience, I give Treat 5 stars!

The best wax I have ever had!!! Im not going to lie and say it doesn't hurt at all, but it definitely hurts a lot less than all the other places I have been to. It has to do with the special wax she uses and her technique that she has mastered after doing it for years. This wax doesn't rip a layer of your skin off like regular waxes do, it only sticks to the hair :) Plus it is super fast which equals less time in pain, she took less than 10 minutes for a full gardening service lol (brazilian). Also with the special wax she uses less hair grows out and it grows out slower than with regular wax. The irritation is minimal and the more you get waxed the less irritated you will be the following time, just a nice clean garden.

Veronica and her staff is very attentive and friendly, they make you feel very comfortable. The boutique is very cozy, girly and super clean! If you are looking to get waxed, try treats for the face once and you won't want to go anywhere else. I live in Whittier and they are in Sherman Oaks that's a little over 30 miles one way (and a ton of traffic for me), and it can be a little pricy but I won't go anywhere else. They are worth every penny, mile and minute I sit in traffic, don't forget you get what you pay for!

When you know good geography you'll get the metaphor:

"Amazon Jungle gone Sahara Desert."
*******************

The owner is a wonderful lady. Friendly, engaging and makes you feel comfortable. She remembers you even if you have visited her only once, (I'm a regular). Her staff is also friendly and welcoming.

I'd recommend this place for hair removal, because they use quality wax that doesn't irritate your skin, smells great and it's as painless as possible. AND they're quick, they don't take their jolly time!!!!!!!

It will hurt your wallet a lot, but take my word for it, once you start going there, you won't go anywhere else. It's totally worth it.

One of the good things; they give you a reward card where you collect points and after few visits you get either discount price or a free service (clear that up with the owner, not sure).

Parking is behind the store, but you can find also on the street (mostly on Riverside Dr.)

They also do facials, tanning, hair-cuts, sell designer shoes and clothes.

The store it's always clean, neat, cute and has warm atmosphere along with the good service.

Oh my gosh. I completely love this place and am going to be back many, many times! I made an appointment just hours before on a Saturday for an eyebrow wax ($25). I ended up with Al who is a sweetheart and he did a fantastic job! I felt totally pampered and I left with completely clean brows, made-up and everything. Be sure to check the "specials" on their website before you go, as they had at least two coupons for "free" services to add on to your visit. I took advantage of the oxygen/vitamin treatment which was great and usually a $35 value. Especially once you add a coupon to your visit, I really can't see how you could go anywhere else.

The shop is the cutest ever! Stylish tops, dresses, etc and I was shocked at how reasonably priced they were! They just marked a ton of them down for a sale...but still! Whenever I need a cute dress I definitely know where I'm going first. Like someone else said, this is a total girly paradise and I can't wait to go back and spend more time! I will definitely want to take advantage of their many other services, and maybe try them out if I ever need my makeup done. Go!

I thought I'd throw my praise in, too.  When I was a waxing virgin in need of a better-than-bikini (but still not Brazilian) wax, I consulted Yelp and settled on this place.  I am so glad I did.  The mini toffee way is perfect.  I also trust her completely with my eyebrows and lip.  She gets everything looking fantastic and it stays that way for a good, long time.  I love going back!

I came here for my first "waxing experience" and thought it would be painful, but you know what, it wasn't as bad as I thought. With my very low pain tolerance, it wasn't very painful as long as I can remember to breath. :) Veronica was awesome and really helpful in making this experience as soothing as it can be for someone who was about to have some sort of anxiety attack. I would totally come back again!

I went here for my 1st ever Brazilian wax with Veronica. She was fantastic!!! I was super nervous about the pain and having my girly bits looked at by someone who was a) not my boyfriend or b) not my gynecologist. She was really nice and sweet. It was over quicker than I expected but not at all rushed. It was pretty painful but I think that has more to do with the area she was working on rather than her ;) Her shop was ADORABLE though I didn't have too much time too look around. Lots and lots of pretty, girly dresses. The only downside was the price but you get what you pay for right? I'll definitly be going back!

I had my first bikini wax done here and of course, I was super nervous, but Veronica (the owner) was so cheerful and professional that I felt totally comfortable being half undressed and waxed by her. She does a very quick and almost painless job (it's probably as painless as ripping hair from the skin can get) and like everyone has said, the wax she uses sticks to the hair, not the skin, and her technique is very efficient! The pricing is a little more than other salons, but the experience is worth the price. Treats For the Face is the only place I will be going to for waxing because I really trust Veronica to do a good job.  :)

Angelina was great. Very sweet girl and she did a good wax job.

Veronica on the other hand...let's just say that I had a different experience from everyone else. That surprised me since she's the owner.

All in all, I had a decent experience there but I'm a stickler for customer service...

I have very few places that I trust to handle my eyebrow grooming and Treats for the Face is on that select list.  Angelina is heaven sent.  This girl knows her eyebrows.  Never do I leave over-plucked, startled looking, comma-eyebrowed, L.A. chola glared, or botox surprised.  My brows are full, clean, and pretty damn perfect.  I feel confident enough to face the cruel world without my mask on. Take a lookie.  I'll post a pic.

OH NO! Angelina's gone & she's the only reason I'd go  here.  Here's her contact info:

Be careful.  You'll never want to leave this shop.  It's the ultimate feel good stop.  Too many things that put my girlie sensors on high alert!  I leave this place skipping, stopping to smell a rose, and checking myself out in every window & mirror I pass.

I was really disappointed by the lack of service and professionalism at this place.  I can't speak for their products or the hair.  This one is about the gals taking appointments (at both stores) and the waxer, who is apparently the manager/owner.

I'm new to the area so called in last week to make a desperately needed bikini wax appointment.  I took down the address (Ventura Blvd) and showed up right on time on Saturday morning.  I walk in, and the receptionist at the front says, "Oh, she moved to the other location."  I was totally surprised, I mean, wouldn't they let you know if there were two locations (I had no idea) and the waxing was at one of them?  Whatever, she gave me the new address and I was off.

I got in the car and called the other store to explain the mishap and let them know I was on my way.  I get there 5 minutes later and park.  I walk in, and I let the receptionist know I'm here for the waxing appt.  "She just left," she tells me.  "What?  I have an appointment," I follow with.  She then tells me that the waxer had a home based appointment at 11 and she was off.  I looked at my watch and it was 10:40.  My appointment was at 10:30 and I called them from the other store to let them know I was running behind due to no explanation from their front end people.

Needless to day I was so annoyed; why do I need to run all over the place for a simple appointment?  THANK GOD I found the great ladies at Belle Visage who put this Treats for the face place right in it's place.  And that is last on my list.  Never again.

This place is great!

I've never had a problem calling in to get an appointment at the time I wanted.  There was a girl at the front that was a little curt when talking to her on the phone, but the last time I called in and went there, it was someone else.  The "new" girl in the front is very sweet and nice.

Veronica is amazing.  The first time I went in she was super nice, made me feel very comfortable, and gave me an almost painless wax.  Don't get me wrong, it hurt very little, but it isn't PAINLESS.  How can it be?  They rip hundreds of hairs from your most intimate area!  So yes it hurts a little, but VERY VERY LITTLE! ***IT IS PRACTICALLY PAINLESS***

Everything inside is super chic, girly, and trendy.  The main room you walk into has trendy cute clothes.  The rooms you go into for services are cute and pink, and have flat screen TVs in them, so you can watch TV and distract yourself from being naked from the waist down.

Veronica even gave me a "student" discount.  I LOVE HER!

Be aware, they don't add on tip if you pay with credit/debit card, so make sure to have some cash to show them some love.

This is the place to go if you want nearly painless waxing.  Veronica is really quick and gently.  The other girl, I forgot her name is also really good.  I like the wax they use.  It's really gentle and smells really nice.  Plus, they have a little boutique with really cute clothes.  It's fun to shop a little right before your appointment.  Also if there is no parking in the front of the store, there is plenty of parking in the back.  Would definitely recommend for a first time waxer.
