This place was quite the find today. Located in a strip mall in North Grafton, Treasures bills itself as an "Upscale Thrift Store". The space is huge, clean and bright. The left side of the space is well stocked with mens, womens, and childrens clothing and accessories. The right side of the store is for housewares both practical and decorative.  I thought this was a consignment store but the volunteer ( everyone donates their time here) who was working let me know that everything in the the store is actually donated. Proceeds from the sales go to defray the cost of tuition to a local Christian school. Although I am not affiliated with any religion, I am all for education.  

While scouring the racks with one toddler in tow I managed to find some great deals. I purchased an Anne Klein fitted vest ($8), an Ann Taylor sweater in perfect condition ($6), a fleece Old Navy scarf  ($2), and a plush hippo dressed in a handmade knitted dress ($2.50). All in all it was $18.63 and worth every penny. It was great that as I shopped the volunteers, who are very much like doting Grandmas, kept my son busy with an alphabet game. So nice!!

Although I didn't get to check out the housewares as much as I would have liked I did notice that everything seemed to be in pristine condition. I'm guessing you wouldn't have to search for the good stuff here like you would at Goodwill or the Salvation Army.

I had my eye on some of the handmade scarves that they were selling for around $3 a piece. I have quite a few ladies on my list that would love them.

*they have great sales too -- today was buy a pair of pants, get one free!*
