Had a blast! Yea its a little expensive but well worth the money. I would rather spend my money here then at the bar any day!

Really fun! My first time, and the workers at the front desk were nice.
However, I wish the track would be a little bit longer. You can only drive in the same direction, master the turns so many times, for so long, before you feel like you can do it with your eyes closed. Doesn't anyone get bored doing the same turns for 10 minutes straight? But I sure love the thrill. Can't wait to try it again when they have the outdoors.
It costs $20 flat per race. For $20, you'd think they would use the profit to upgrade the place a little bit. JUST a little. So that
(1), there are more helmets. Not a huge fan of wearing a helmet that someone just placed back on the rack 2 seconds ago, because the other 3 XL on the rack don't fit me. You have all these racks for helmets, but it's only filled 1/4 the way, even when all the racers are done. Gross!
(2) you could make the signs a bit more clearer of where gloves and used head socks had to go. I wanted to use a head sock, but after watching some people lazily throw the "used" back in "clean"... I cringed and put on my nasty smelling helmet. And if the gloves are worn, have holes, and yellow and musty... Couldn't you replace those as well?
(3) I understand the racing track smells like gas. But the inside of the waiting lobby smells like a combination of: sweat, shower-less men, garbage, and rotting eggs. I guess after entering the track and coming back into the lobby, my sense of smell became more keen because it didn't seem to smell as fowl prior. Or maybe shower-less men were present. -

I got a groupon for an annual membership and 2 races for my boyfriend here and gave it to him as a little Valentine's surprise/gift. He had been talking about going and he likes this kind of thing and seemed happy about the surprise.
Of course I should have thought of this earlier that we wouldn't be able to split the two races. So, I had to buy two more races for myself. Did I mention they're like $18.25 a race?! I should have just bought two memberships.
Besides the raceway, there isn't much. There's a lame food stand, a kids play area. I wasn't too impressed with the raceway and I def. was not impressed by how much I had to spend for two people for less than an hour of entertainment. With that said, I think he had fun and that's what matters right? -

Traxx is as good as it gets for indoor karting in Washington. Of course, the best karting is the outdoor type but that comes with limitations (poor weather and nighttime)
The facility:
Traxx is in a large warehouse-type facility. It's not heated everywhere, so make sure to bring extra layers in the winter. However, there are plenty of bar games (pool, airhockey, arcarde), there's a rock climbing wall and a kids' track upstairs.
The track:
They changed the layout a year ago and took away the bridge (too bad) but it still makes for a fun track. Plus, in the summer and whenever it's warm, they open up the warehouse doors and make it an indoor/outdoor track, which is a blast! The surface is ok, with some grippy corners but also with some areas where you just lose grip quickly.
The karts:
The karts are fairly standard gas-powered karts. They have plenty of speed for the track layout and will keep you on your toes.
The staff:
Staffing at karting places is important - these are the people who control the flow of the karts during the race (blue-flagging, red flagging, etc...). They were good, showing blue flags where needed. I got spun out when one of my friends crashed in the back of me as I was drifting a corner and I got stuck in the wall. It took them a little while to come as I was at the far end of the track, but they came and put me back in the right direction.
The biggest variable factor is the other people on track. You can get lucky and get some fun folks, or some idiots always banging into everyone. There was such a guy on track with us tonight who later gave me the bird after I tapped him in the back. No matter... he thought he was fast... but I was faster!
Overall, this is a fun place to go if you want to go karting after dark or when the elements are being Washingtonian: when it's raining and snowing. The staff is fun, the track is fun, the karts are good, and there's a generally good ambiance... -

Neat! This place is lots of fun. I went on a Livingsocial Adventure here, and had an absolute blast. The staff at Traxx was friendly enough, and helpful. I'm definitely coming back here with a group of friends and DESTROYING them on the track.

A great place for a fun group activity - a little spendy for the regular price of a race, but with the entertainment coupon, it's worth it at 50% off ($9/rider). Tip: go in the summer before the sun sets, and the track is longer because it extends outside. We added on the velcro wall, because it just looked awesome and looked ridiculous. It really was awesome and ridiculous ($5/person). Definitely returning for future group events.

I just came here a few weeks ago for about the 10th time since Traxx opened years ago. This place never disappoints for an awesome time. I've been there for a wide range of events with kids and without, and both as a spectator and as a racer (As a female the racing is fun, but I usually will do one race and then watch the guys do one or two more). The staff are friendly- in particular the people at the front desk are always great and helpful.
I came here for a kid's birthday party and the staff running the kiddie track upstairs were SO great with the kids- they really knew how to get them excited to race but were also good with the kids who were a little timid. I have friends who have kicked off their bachelor parties at Traxx, and know people who have come for company team building stuff (there are banquet rooms you can rent for food, meetings, etc.). Whether they like to race or not everyone has an awesome time.
Traxx can get fairly busy on weekend nights, but it's never that long of a wait. Check their website for weeknight deals, too. I highly recommend this place!! -

I have to agree with the other reviews, Traxx can be pretty expensive. I appreciate that they will operate all the way through the midnight hours, it makes for a great back-up plan for a friday evening!.

Traxx is an amazing place to go anytime. Its not that expensive and its way fun. It is the most fun go carting place to go because they dress you up in jumpsuits and helmets so you feel like a real car driver and then you race for 10 minutes with the group you came in. No other people that you dont know are in your group its just you and your friends. They judge the winner by the fastest you laps average because ten minutes isnt long enough to have the person in first place be the winner. When you go around the curves and hill in the course you feel so amazing and wish you could do that forever. The only downside is when you crash really hard which happened to my friend kelly twice.

Located in Mukilteo with plenty of parking, this is a great place for older kids. Although it can be pretty pricey to race around the race track a few times. Kids over 14 can race alone, while younger kids have the option of racing on an upstairs track or taking a lesson to get approval for the big track. Staff is super friendly, and explains everything in detail. There is even a helpful video to teach safety tips. Pool and video games are also on site. As well as a rock climbing wall, making this a fun option for birthday parties. Its very exhilarating to race around the track a few times and fun to compete with the people in your group, you also get a print out of your rating against everyone who raced that day. More than a few times can get dull and the wait til your turn may be a while, but still a good way to kill a few hours. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes you don't love, perhaps bring your own gloves. They have some things available, but most of those seem to have seen better days.

Our kids love this place and it's awesome for a birthday party. Guys who run the cars are wayyy into it and will really get the kids going. They've got a little track upstairs for little kids who haven't graduated onto the big track yet. Either go with the 6 and unders or wait until kids are big enough to go on the main track. May leave little to be desired by the 7-9 years olds as the little track is pretty little. Very cool though and not hugely known with Seattlites.
