I made the reservation on hotwire and now I know why it was among the cheaper hotels within 15 miles of the golden gate bridge -- I won't make that mistake again.

The room was supposed to have two double beds, but it had one, and they wouldn't let us switch because they had no vacancies.  The room reeked of old cigars and cigarettes.  In the morning there wasn't a "manager" (i.e. person who can access the computer) working, only cleaning staff!  Needless to say, we got out of there very quickly.

They stole $130 from me. I accidentally made a reservation for the wrong night and called them immediately to correct the error. They wouldn't do it and charged me the money and said I was a no show. I tried to dispute it with my bank and they fought it. They must be hurting pretty bad. If you're visiting to the area it's not exactly in an exciting part of town. It's right on the freeway (literally) there is a frontage road and a wire fence between them and is far from most of the good restaurants and nightlife in Marin. It is near the best coin operated laundry in town, if that's what you're looking for.

Should be renamed Stalag 13.
If you are the kind of person that likes to be treated like shit and nickel and dimed to no end, then this is your kind of place. It takes more than the need to make a living (this is a franchise) to be in the hospitality biz. The owners of this establishment do not possess any common human traits of courtesy.  Not an inch. Even calling HQ to file a complaint resulted in a dead end.
Don't even think of filing a complaint. We were told by HQ that if we were to file a claim against this establishment we would surely be expelled from the hotel, at our expense.
DO NOT STAY HERE!
