WARNING: I am going to be politically incorrect for the duration of this tirade. I do, however, LOVE Trader Joe's products and staff. My poor rating is for the following:
I would like to make two points regarding this Trader Joe's. One, I have never before felt such a sudden and vehement urge to slap a senior citizen before in my life as I did today at this location. I truly apologize for being part of the working class. I apologize that I needed to purchase an inexpensive bouquet of flowers for our office's cleaning lady's birthday. I apologize that I work from 8 am to 5pm and that I need to make my purchase speedily during my lunch hour. I understand that the majority of the shoppers I witnessed today seemed to be retired or stay at home mothers with children too young to attend school. My solo bouquet of flowers & I, should not have to defend our spot in line. So I am SO sorry grandma, you may not try to cut in line with your milk, two bunches of bananas, and carton of crimini mushrooms. You'll have to wait behind me, because unlike you, I actually have somewhere I need to be today.
Secondly, I'm sure we'd all like to know WHO THE HELL designs the parking lots at Trader Joe's?!? Honestly!?!?! And WHY don't the patrons understand simple mathematics? HELLO!?!?! If you do not allow any cars exit the parking lot, there will be no available open parking spaces. If you need to judge whether a driver's license should be revoked, hangout at our local Trader Joe's. I'll give you a heads-up, anyone making a seven-point turn to get into or out of a parking spot. -

Do you like fine wine, cheese, bread, crackers, fish, meat and just about everything else tasty and wonderful? That's wonderful, because we do too! After years of having to make the trek over the grade down to San Luis to patronize Trader Joe's, finally the North County has a little bit of grocery heaven to call its own.
In short order, the best parts of Trader Joe's are:
+ Fantastic selection of local and imported wines, and at reasonable prices
+ Cheese, cheese and more cheese, if you like cheese, you MUST visit this store
+ Free samples every weekend of new treats
+ Well-trained and friendly employees who actually like working there
+ Lines move quickly, as the cashiers don't mess around
The only negative thing I have to say about Trader Joe's is that they have the worst parking lot ever. I docked them a star for making people almost (and sometimes) have to park in a dirt ditch beside to the store. Seriously, they had to know that such a busy store would need more spaces. Anyways, shop here during the week and avoid some of the asphalt mayhem. You won't regret it. -

Always a good selection of everything. Only place around these parts where I can find Stivia packets. Parking lot is ALWAYS busy.

I have been a big fan of trader joe's for decades! The always have wonderful products that taste great and are priced right! I love to go to the wine aisle and get a case of inexpensive wine, take them home, have a wine tasting with friends, then buy a couple of case of the stuff we like! It is a great party and a lot of fun! And trader Joe's is the place to stock up! - I really like their chocolate products and the yellow curry too, and the nuts, and the ....... you get the idea

Where the hell are we? And why on Earth did my brother and his family move here? Ok, so there's a winery or five, so that's a perk. But really? What could have ever possessed them to settle down... oh ... wait... is that what I think it is?
That's right... Trader Joe's. In a town of under 5,000 people. And might I add, a very spacious, fully stocked, exceptionally friendly outlet at that. The parking sucks, (as it seems to at every TJs around the country) but considering you're only beating out the 20 other people per square mile out here, you'll be sorted with your spiced cider, 2 buck Chuck, blue tortilla chips and organic granola in no time.
It was beyond me how on Earth this relatively tiny outpost of a rare California village was blessed with the godsend of organic glory... then I checked out the demographics: "As of the census[2], there were 4,687 people. The racial makeup of the CDP was 90.36% White..." Need I go on? If so, please read this: http://stuffwhitepeopl...Listed in: California

Before moving to Templeton, we had TJ's 5 minutes from home. Sure missed it, and was thrilled when TJ's decided to put a store in - 5 minutes from our home here! Good selection of all kinds of food. Love their cheese selection.
Only bad thing at this location is the small, awkward parking lot. People need to be more patient and considerate of eachother in the pakring lot. -

An awesome TJ's, in a lousy spot. We always laugh that TJ's parking is the worst, and this one does not let down. This TJ's does not have hard booze, but other than that, it's exactly like the rest.
They should have been in Atascadero near Home Depot.. but then again, there is waaay too much parking there =P.. -

All Trader Joe's are pretty awesome. This one however gets minus 1 for being in the middle of nowhere (there is not a whole lot going on in Templeton) and for having the all time worst parking lot of all Trader Joe's (which are notoriously awful). The good thing about this TJs being in the sticks is that they always have everything in stock.

I sooo love this store! You can totally get out of there with 2 or 3 full bags for $40! I always stop there to get a gift card for my daughter when I go to visit her in LA.
I am always inspired to eat healthy when I walk out of there and promise myself that I will be back sooner than I usually am!
The only think I don't like is the way that people shop there! If I go at a time when it is busy... I am not sure if it is the lay out of the store or just reeeally rude people shop there but the last time I was there... people just seemed to always be parked right where I was trying to go! One lady was on her cell and just blocked the whole aisle... A lot of people looked annoyed....I can't take away stars from a place that just has clueless customers! But maybe it is just because it is a smaller store with more customers.
I have yet to find a time when it is not busy.
Guess....
It's busy all the time because it is just an awesome store and all of the employees are very helpful as well!
The only thing I don't like...is their california roll. Sushi is a hard one for me when it is not fresh from a sushi chef and this is no exception! It was gross... hard rice... after taste...etc.. worse than great sushi in a doggy bag the next day! -

Excellent Service, Great Fresh Selection, and Awesome Pricing. Love our little local Trader Joe's! I wish they would Grow the Meat Department.

I love me a Tj's and this one does not disappoint....except that they don't sell hard liquor, but I should prob lay off the sauce anyhow. ;) The staff here always helpful and informed on their products, which is awesome. I mentioned once that some organic tomatoes I purchased the week before went bad quickly and they replaced them without my asking. So happy I don't have to drive all the way to SLO anymore!
