Yay! I love TJ's. I was so excited when they first came to the area after seeing/experiencing one in Los Angeles.

This location is pretty sweet, near Aurora and a couple miles from the Alderwood Mall..but beware! It's at a red light intersection and I'm always holding my breath when I make my turn.

It carries specialty items for reasonable prices! I do find it difficult to rely on as my sole grocery run, I supplement with a more typical grocery store later.

What do I buy here that is ONLy available here? Salted caramels (only available during the holidays), goat cheese (a huge tube for $4? GET OUT), Pirate's Booty (1 bag = 1 day), cheesy popcorn (muuuuuch better than Smartfood, cheaper, more quant, and tastier), TJ's peppermint toothpaste (half the price of Tom's of Maine), veggie lasagne (I promise myself to save it for a lazy day but cook it that night, 4 large servings for $8 total), veggie breakfast "meats" ($1-2 cheaper than in regular grocery), Kashi cereals (also $1-2 cheaper than regular stores), and, you get the picture.

The booze section (beer/wine) is pretty cool. We usually try to fill a wine carrier (6 bottles) for under $40. Get the QUESTION MARK bottle. That's all there is, an orange question mark...it's a nice red, for a few bucks. We have since graduated from the Charles Shaw, but it's there if we want it.

Everyone who works there is honestly nice and they have tried the product or want to try it. You can pretty much grab anyone for a question and they won't direct you to the appropriate section or anything. This is my preferred location (even though the UDist one is closer) because it's a much more enjoyable trip, parking is easier (don't you hate that garage in the UDist?), the store seems larger, and you can then visit Half-Price Books to get some cheap readin's on. :)

My Favorite grocery store... Period.
They send out little booklets in the mail of all their special deals and amazing prices on food. Yes, it's really crowded, but that's really not their fault. It's THE best alternative to Albertson's, Safeway, etc.
College students must shop here!

How much do I love thee?  Let me count the ways...

1. Perfectly portioned, cleaned, trimmed and sometimes sliced vegetable options.  Plus a bagged kit for guacamole-ole!

2.  Frozen Jasmine and Brown rice that can be ready in 3 mins for a quick dinner.  Minus one star for always running out, know that next time you are in stock, I'm buying a case of each and someone will need to help me to my car this time!

3. Lovely fresh meat selection to include ground turkey, grass fed beef, prepared nummies such as almond apple stuffed porkchops,  seasoned fish, marinated any kind of meat, any kind of way.

4. Frozen horsdvors that are quick and tasty for any soiree you are preparing for.  My favorites being Mushroom Turnovers, Mini Pizzas, Birdsnests, Curry Springrolls and Spanikopita.

5. A divine selection of cheeses from sandwich slices, crumbled salad options, shredded bags to beauful hunks of heaven just looking to be sliced for a cracker or slice of bread.

6. The half aisle of nuts, more that I have ever seen in any store ever!  From plain, spiced to sliced.  You can seriously go nutty here and will be inspired to create salads, pesto and pasta galore!

7.  For always tempting me with your deli selections of yummy preparations and incredible dips, like white bean basil hummus, of which must be bought to accompany the cheeses you know I have alread purchased!

8. The aisle of chips and crackers, and the many low fat and healthier options of these crisp goodies so I can make my little carb binges more guilt free.

9.  For offering my Fage greek yogurt with honey for much less than everywhere else.

10. Your 99 cent pasta, the best bottled pesto or tapenade and incredible sauces and canned tomatoes to help me bring out the italian honeymoon in me.

11. Rows of lovely flowers greet you at the entrance and there are always sweet little packaged pots of beauty and elegant orchids.  All of which inspire you to set a beautiful table to enjoy a great meal on.

12. Your checkers are always friendly and upbeat even though their stations are too small to process the gluttony their selection causes it's customers, not to mention the attitudes of such cranky glutons!

The only reason I try to avoid you and take a break from our affair is because you attract too many others all at once and I don't like to share!  Why oh why can't you get a larger space so that I can parouse your offerings without the pressure in crowded aisles and the impatience of those who don't understand the inspiration your selection gives me.

First off, I love Trader Joe's.  It's one of those groceries that's kind of hard not to like, at least.  Well, Trader Joe's at 196th and 99 isn't my fave, but it's local so I'm there frequently...

This location seems just really small and cramped.  It feels like you run into traffic congestion in many parts of the store.  The parking lot isn't really cramped, unless you're only considering very close parking, since it's in a really big complex with about an acre of parking.  It's only a mile away from me, so I'll walk there anyways, but still...

Well, inside you will find TJ's great and cheap wine selections, sauces and new products pretty frequently, and the usual suspects.  I wish there were more cheeses and the meat selection was a little bigger, but I usually buy those elsewhere anyways.  I think Trader Joe's has the best peanut butter that is just peanuts and salt (I like salted) and I think it's about the cheapest.  Whole Foods has a good one that is not much more (365 brand), but I like TJ's over everybody's.  Great selections of other "butters", mixed nuts and trail mixes, the sample counter, and all keep this a good stop for Lynnwoodians and Edmondites.  The prices are good here and there seems to always be a new product to try and I'm not often disappointed.  I think I'm gonna walk over there in a little bit...

Love Trader Joe's.  It's not a place I feel like I can do *all* of my grocery shopping, as I typically like to see a bigger meat department and such, but the prices are great and the food is of the best quality.

Look for the Trader Joe's brands of food, as Joe's O's are at least as good as Cheerios and far less expensive.

Also if you ever want to make some guac or salsa fresca they have some really excellent little pre-made kits that you can take home and prepare yourself.

Trader Joe's in Lynnwood, is just ok.  The major problem this store has is the size of the store.

Let's face it, the parking is ok, when it's not busy.  The staff is nice and friendly, when it's not busy.  It's easy to get around in the store without shoving some arrogant asshole aside so you can get to the olive oil, when it's not busy.

When is it NOT busy?  The store is too small to pack a bunch of self-important, tree-hugging Trader Joe's leftists into such a small place.  This just serves to make the staff a little rude and testy.  Plus, the customers get to play bumper carts.  And none of the customers knows the polite little phrase "excuse me."

Oh, I'll keep going to Trader Joe's for my cans of coffee beans, but I can't spend much more than 5 minutes in that insane asylum.

"What do I NOT want to buy today?" is the question I ask myself when I shop at Trader Joe's.  Sometimes I wish that when I open my pantry doors I could just find a fully stocked Trader Joe's aisle.  Alas, I am poor... but good news!  Trader Joe's has cheap prices (much better than Central Market, I agree).

I don't know what I would eat for lunch at work or school (I'm a teacher) if I DIDN'T shop at Trader Joe's.  I LOVE the frozen food section... burritos?  Yes, please!  I actually just ate the chicken chile verder burrito as a snack with some mango salsa on top (hence my inspiration to write this post).  I probably would not have made it through college without Trader Joe's at my side.  Oh man, and Indian Fare - so cheap!  I bring a mini tub of rice, pour some lentils over my rice and in a few minutes I have a delicious lunch.  Masala simmer sauce... yumyumyum. Dried Banana slices - best dried fruit ever, you have to try them!!

2 Buck Chuck is a god send.  We went in to buy cases for my sister's wedding last summer and asked if they gave some sort of discount.  "No, because we guarantee the lowest prices everyday so it's fair for everyone, every day of the week:" - I love that answer!  Not to mention that the wine selection (and PRICES) guarantee a good find everytime.

Finally, my favorite snack, Chocolate Cats.  Not only are they tasty and low fat but they just make me smile.

I love Trader Joe's. This location can get really crowded, but if you go in, knowing what you want to get, it's pretty easy to get in and out.

And of course, the TJ hummus and naan is AMAZING and I could live off of it the rest of my life. Mmmm...

I'd never been to a Trader Joe's til November.  My older sis had some awesome maple syrup that she said she got from TJ so I went to get some for myself.  I never knew that real maple syrup is so pricey but it's ohhhh soooo worth it!  Margarine and maple syrup on my Eggos... yum.  I like that TJ has a variety of goods under their own name.  I will have to go back soon to see what else I can get.

Trader Joe's is one of my favorite grocery stores.  It has a very extensive selection of healthy and organic foods and has a lot of rare and obscure brands - great for discovering new delicious items!

The best part about Trader Joe's is that the prices are extremely reasonable based on the quality of the items.  I have found some of my favorite healthy foods at TJ's for half the price of what they are in regular grocery stores like QFC or Albertson's.

Trader Joe's is definitely where it's at.

When people complain about Trader Joe's lack of space or parking, I always wonder what they are talking about.  The reason is that I live in Edmonds and this is the TJs I shop at.

Their parking lot is huge and I have never had a problem finding a spot.  The store's aisles are big enough to maneuver through without any trouble.  You don't have to worry about them running out of things by noon because who drives all the way to Lynnwood from Seattle to shop at TJs?  Crazy people, that's who.  The food is varied and amazingly affordable.  Go there if you're in the neighborhood.

this is where i get my mochi fix... and everything else! lol

With multiple locations in Washington, the location in Lynnwood has to one of the better sites with PLENTY of parking, thank God!  Why ownership picks some of the most parking-limited locations is beyond me.   The Queen Anne store has about 6 slots and I think one of them is used by the cart return rack!

Anyway, these stores are always clean, stocked with whatever they have on hand and the crew is always wiling to answer your questions.

I like the fact that cashiers can call for back up help, via the clanging bell over head, when the lines get 2-4 people deep.  Although the carts are a bit small, we always pack ours full, they have to be small because of the narrow pathways.

Store tends to get full and congested on weekends and right after work, but that's due to the solid line up of products, tasty prepared food offering and samples.  My kids and I like trying a new kind of soda pop each time we go there, it's nice to be able to find a medium size serving, just in case we don't like it.

The frozen item section is outstanding, it's really hard to find something not to like in that area.  The TJ brand of frozen pizza is really good, hard to believe I'm saying that about pizza!  Actually you really can't go wrong with any of the TJ branded stuff, from soup to nuts these folks put their name on products and stand by them.

Good deals on fresh produce as well.  They have a nice sized non-meat section and the number of brand names they carry is a credit to their buyers.  Breads are not the usual fair and they can sell out so be fore warned.

Other than being crowded, at times, I wish they'd open up one closer to my house in Shoreline, WA...hint hint.....

Five stars for the multiple choices on the racks, four stars for the narrow isles you have to play dodge-em with the other shopping cart drivers.

As a store all Trader Joe's get five stars in my book. The three stars is rated against other TJ's. This TJ's has great parking and super friendly staff, which should give it extra stars against the other TJ's.

I have one major grip with this store however... It's wine selection is lacking. For some unknown reason its got a much smaller selection then the other stores in the area. Its not that the store is much smaller then any of the others its just that the wine selection is small. One of the main reasons I like TJs are the great wines at reduced prices and this store just doesn't have the bang that the to other ones do.

It's the best choice in Lynnwood for healthy food and produce (even the seasonal farmer stand produce pales in comparison).  Best bet for RAW food...you won't find a whole lot of names-you-can't-pronounce in their products which is the main reason I shop there.  They have great juices (the peach juice is A++, as is the ginger lemonade) and a wide variety of cheeses (especially for such a small store).  The frozen food section is really awesome, I love the chimichurri rice and the eggplant cutlets (breaded of course).
The only complaints I have are
1. The store is too small.  I want more stuff.
2. The parking lot can be a nightmare since the store is located right off 196th and everyone comes into that parking lot FAST right by the front door of Trader Joe's.  Look both ways three times before crossing!

I'm a Trader Joe's fan.  Test me if you wish, I know how many clangs means what.

At any rate, I have been to this location a few times... in my opinion the BEST location.  With it being outside of Seattle, there is parking a-plenty.  The store is big, with plenty of move to actually push a shopping cart.  Everything is always stocked, and many workers on hand to help you with what you need.

And yes.  There is the 3 buck Chuck that you can't say no to.

I moved to Lynnwood about 2 years ago and found out I was near a TJ's and it took me about 6 months before I went in. Ever since I have been a loyal customer. Great products and prices. The 2 things that I wish were different is less crowded (but that is hard when there is something so good) and a bigger selection of products, especially produce.

I love you, Trader Joes, not because you are so awesomely awesome, but because you core and slice mangoes, and sell them, fresh, at an insanely good price. I love you for your awesome selection of spaghetti and pasta sauces, all cheaper than prego and way better tasting. I love you for selling three delicious bars of belgian chocolates for under 2.00. I love the way my skin feels after soaping up with your tea tree oil soap bars (2 for 1.50). I love the smile on my nephews face when he eats your veggie chips/sticks, and i love your honey moon vigioner. Theres nothing better in all of life than a heady floral wine for under 6.00 to go with your aged steakburger topped with mango-papaya salsa and fontina cheese.

I LOVE Trader Joe's! It is true when they say that it's "your unique grocery store," because I rarely see any brand name groceries/food items. With that said, I have a lot of fun browsing through the different types of food, including some that are unique to Trader Joe's. The prices are decent and not expensive. My favorite part of the store is their cheese selection. It is absolutely adorable. They have many types of cheese to choose from and they are all so good! MmmMm...I love cheese.....

I love this TJ's! I rather go here than the other places such as the U Distr, and Capitol Hill one. They usually have a great selection of items I need. The prices are always top notch. They carry such a wide variety of items, so standard, and some unique. Though at times, this place can get crowded, so crowded that you are always going to bump into someone either by cart, or body. LOL! The lines are never a nightmare, they have that wonderful bell to let TJ employees know that another line needs to open up. Parking here is not really a nightmare, just kinda scary coming in off of 99 turning left on 196,it's like a race car rally out that way, but once we pull in, there is usually good parking. Love TJ's muuuuuaaah!

I love Trader Joes and I am looking forward to the new Trader Joes coming to Ballard in '09.  I like their selection and am always able to find help when I can't find something.  I was looking for my favorite wine at my last visit and they were sold out.  The stock lady called 4 stores for me to see if anyone else had any, none left.  I really appreciated her service in helping me find some more wine.  I worked in sales for 10 years and that was the best customer service I have received in years.:)

I love Trader Joe's! The prices here are so much better then Central Market and other wanna be competitors.  Like their recycled toilet paper, mochi ice cream, Annie Chun's noodles and etc.  I have to come here at least once a week to stock up and I cannot live without their hawanian bagel.  They have a good selection of healthy dog treat.  Oh.. and the bells makes sure that the line never gets too long so you can be on your way.

Yes this really is my favorite TJs in the Seattle area, and I shop here almost every week.  The large parking-lot is a huge bonus, and it rarely feels like shoppers are practically on top of each other, unlike for example Queen Anne or University District which can feel like ant-hills and be something of an ordeal.  TJs tip: customers can use the restroom located in the back room.
