Ok so I lied in my first meeting for TJAA (Trader Joe's Addict Anonymous). I'm not really "ON the wagon", I mean it's complicated and it's really hard for me to discuss. I just couldn't let their delicious materials go. Ok fine, here goes, I haven't been going myself... (sob, sob, wiping tears from my face) I have others go for me. I know I'M A BASTARD and I HATE MYSELF for it. I know I'm using others with my coy "Are you going to TJ's" look but other times people just ask me "do you need anything from TJ's", I can't help it if I carry a list. Everything there is just so so good, MMmmm sweet sweet pretzel bread. I'll stop, I swear it!! I just can't do it alone. Maybe just one pretzel bread for the road, you know... to start me off right.
I know I can do it with your support!!
God I love Trader Joe's. It's like the Target of grocery stores, I go in with my list and walk out with an extra $60 worth of stuff that wasn't on that list. Plus I'm so terrible, I usually forget stuff that IS on the list because I'm distracted by delicious samples and an awesome selection of munchies.
The Clybourn store is pretty small but stocks all my necessities. Apple blossoms, Orange Chicken, Spinach Artichoke dip, Low-Fat Mixed Berry Granola, mini-peanut butter cups, Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, Teriyaki Chicken and sushi (just to name a few)... Their wine and beer selection is very respectable (again) considering the size of the store. My favorite beer is the Red Seal Ale, it was once recommended to me by an employee when I was hunting for something new to taste. Thank you Mr. Employee!! :)
They also have breads right up front when you walk in, and my boyfriend has a bad habit of picking up one of the individual pretzel rolls and munching it WHILE we shop... This drives me crazy, but every time we get to the register with a half-eaten pretzel roll, the cashier laughs it off like it happens everyday. I'm starting to think it does because those pretzel rolls are super delicious and always soft and squishy!
In the winter, the heated indoor garage is a GOD SEND!!!! It's cheaper than Whole Foods, the staff is amazing, and the products sell themselves... I can't think of a single reason not to go to Trader Joe's (almost) every weekend for groceries!
Okay. Here's the facts. All Trader Joe's employees are ridiculously nice. They just ARE. They have a great hiring method. Apparently they take pretty good care of their employees, benefits, vacation time, health care, flexible work schedule...all for PART TIME employees. I guess that explains why they are in a good mood...they aren't worried about getting sick and affording to sustain their life.
Wow. That's a tangent. Let's move on. To. This. Location.
This location has some setbacks. It is a little small. The parking garage can be down right gruesome. However, let us face facts people. This location is in the heart of North Avenue nightmare. Every business on this street is packed in like a sardine with no parking whatsoever. I'm thankful that this location has as much parking as it does. I'm never worried about getting a spot.
The food is well kept and organized, the wine selection is pretty great. I would not go here for one stop shopping. Although, I don't know many people who treat Trader Joe's as their only grocery shopping destination. You go to TJ's because you know what you want, and you know it is cheaper than Whole Foods.
A+ for cleanliness. A+ for staff. This location does the best with what this location can do.
I consider this MY Trader Joes, this is the only one i've ever really gone to, and I feel like I know it like the back of my hand. Even though they rearranged recently and I went in there feeling a little confused, I quickly acclimated to their new rearrangements. I dont know why I dont ever choose to push the cart because I fill my basket with heavy beverages which leave deep marks all over my arms. I usually will get the apple chicken sausage, happiness wine, honey moon wine , their tahini free hummus, frozen burritos, and doggies treats.
I used to get their prepped salads but I havent gotten one once I bought on that was rotting, which i returned and they gave me a full refund. My only criticism of this location is their crazy parking lot, i am ALWAYS terrified that I will smash my car against the polls.
Its just a fact that TJ's is awesome. And this store is just as great as the rest of them. Parking situation is great - and there is a guy there that always helps you out with the oncoming traffic. Selection is fantastic.
I love this Trader Joe's! Obviously the best place to get wine and cheese... I like the city vibe of this location. Nice staff too, thanks guys
Love TJ's, not so into this location for several reasons:
1) worst layout of a parking garage, ever. pillars beware!
2) uber crowded, not fun shoping experience as kept bumping in to people and having to wait to access shelves
3) seems to be limited selection vs. other TJs I've been to
This TJ's will do if you're in a bind....I guess.
I was soooo excited to go to a TJ's since I haven't been in over two months since I've moved. Sadly, I was underwhelmed. Is this location ever smaller than the one on Lincoln? How did I not die of carbon monoxide fumes from the parking ramp?? Why did I buy the cute little heirloom tomatoes that ended up tasting like hard rocks???
Ugh.
Sure the prices are low-ish. And you certainly get what you pay for---low quality food at low prices. I'm going to take a pass on this TJ's ass.
I love Trader Joe's for all of the same reasons that you all do...the nuts, the preserves, the vitamins, the terrific selection of cheese, the wine....oh the wine....
But did you know that they have my kitty Tink's favorite thing in the world there?? A scratcher, a double wide (yes, DOUBLE WIDE) kitty cardboard scratcher with it's own generous supply of catnip leaves provided with purchase. For, I think, $6.99. According to her, there was some yummy cat tuna and for Jackie the pooch, there are great treats in many flavors...don't forget your pets when you go to Trader Joe's! Good stuff and great prices, just like everything else you'll find there.
Trader Joe's is where you can get the Whole Foods-type food at Jewel-like prices. The selection is outstanding, from great produce and snacks to awesome wines and beers. I strongly suggest the PB Jo-Jo's if they're in stock.
My two beefs with Trader Joe's are the parking an the paying. The parking is just for this location. The garage has more support columns than spaces and turns so sharp you better have nice steering skills. Now, for the checkout, why is the counter so small?! I can't put any of my items up on it so I'm holding my cart while trying to pay at the same time. Still, a good place to go.
I heart this Trader Joe's. The people there are always so nice and they usually always have what I want in stock when I go. (Yes I'm the one that stocks up on the Chicken Tikka Masala TV Dinners). The parking garage is a little weird but if you go during off hours like we do, getting in and out is a breeze. If you don't it can get really crowded and frustrating both in the parking lot and the store.
What's not to love about Trader Joe's? Healthy food with a conscience - I'm down.
OK, perhaps there is one thing not to love about this specific location. The parking lot is moderately hellish. I seem to always go there right after a rainstorm or in the midst of a massive spring snow-melt and the entire structure is dank and dripping. I slop through puddles to get back to the car... where we sit and wait... and wait... and QUICK THERE'S AN OPENING BACK OUT! BACK OUT NOW! BACK OUUUUUUUT! Phew. Now we sit and wait... cars unaccustomed to such tight spaces lurch slowly around the corners. There will be a lot of sitting and waiting.
Oh well, at least we have provisions.
Trader Joe's is a great place to pick up a nice selection of products you wouldn't find else where. They have some great frozen foods as well as some awesome fresh products. The workers always seem very nice and pleasant. My only complaint is the size of the store, it can sometimes get hard to navigate since it is usually busy.
This Trader Joe's is awesome. It has all the things that make Trader Joe's great: Vanilla Almond granola, the best frozen vegetarian pizza in all the land, noodle boxes for quick lunches, infinite varieties of hummus and salsa, inexpensive cans of coconut milk, beans, and soups, and best of all, decent wine for a decent price. What makes this Trader Joe's stand out, even from all the other excellent Trader Joe's across the city and suburbs, is its employees.
I came here last year driving my old clunker of a car. After I had shopped, paid and gotten all my bags in my trunk, I got in the car and tried to start it. Pffft. Nothing. Not a sound. I tried again. Nothing.
I called my garage and he said that he could tow the car, but not until the next day. I went inside and asked if I could leave my car in the lot all night. Not only could I leave my car there, no problem, the manager sent out one of the employees to take a quick look, to see if he could get it started. The employee (I don't remember his name) tried his hardest but couldn't get the car to work. No worries, because I was going to have it towed anyway. This friends, is customer service above and beyond what was necessary, and that's what makes Trader Joe's stand out among groceries.
Not too bad...I only came here because the Whole Foods was closed until the new one opens so I decided to walk to the nearest store which was Trader Joe's. I have to admit I'm glad I was able to experience the store.
I got almost everything I needed (I love my Vanilla Cheerios which obviously were not here). The workers were very nice and there was always someone around to help me and show me exactly what I needed.
I guess my only complaint was the lack of fresh produce. Obviously, it's not a huge store so the selection is not expansive, but it's definitely enough. Oh yeah, and the wait in line was pretty long even though there were only two people in front of me; seemed to take forever.
I do like this place, but since it's not immediately close to the train station, I'll probably stick to other stores so I don't have to drive.
Ugh it finally happened, i scraped my bumper on one those stupid parking lot pillars. Can't they put some rubber baby buggy bumpers on those things? Trader Joe's get's a thumbs down for their parking lot of claustrophobia but a thumbs up for great merchandise at reasonable prices.
I like to stock up salsa, cheese, hummus, coffee, wine, flaxseed chips, dried fruit and nuts, cheese, cheese, more cheese, I really like cheese. For fruits and veggies I'd rather go to my local produce mart, go ahead cast your stones at me for not eating organic produce.
The staff is really friendly and I always feel awkward at the checkout because they try and make conversation and they talk about my groceries and I'm just a shy shy girl. Kudos to them for always being so chippy and getting me through the line even when the store is packed.
Let me tell you why I love Trader Joes:
- I can stock up on all of my pantry items organically and cheaply (pasta sauce, beans, quinoa, cereal, rice, pretty decent marinades).
- Dairy selection is great, frozen section is good for edamame and blueberries for my oatmeal.
- I am a die hard fan of their bath and body products, especially the orange body wash and mango shaving cream.
-I like to buy whole chickens and theirs are organic and tasty.
- Good for grabbing some wine that is at least good for cooking:)
- One day I will win the raffle for bringing in my canvass bags.
I am not a fan of Trader Joes because:
-Their produce is all shrink-wrapped and is usually on the verge of spoiling as you put it onto your cart. Those strawberries may look good in the carton, but the ones underneath are moldy.
-The parking lot is quite tight and definitely scary when you are driving a beast called "The Prez." But I really shouldn't be driving anyways, so there.
-Not one stop shopping, but I like to go other places for coffee, veggies, and wine, so that's really not all that much of a complaint I guess...
I'm torn on the number of stars I should give. Hmm... okay, here goes.
The bad:
- They only sometimes have the soybeans I want. The out of the pod soybeans. I work hard, I don't want to shell my own soybeans when I get home.
- The stopped carrying the baked tofu flavor I like. They still have savory and teriyaki flavors, but stopped carrying the thai flavor, which was the only one I liked.
- I always takes forever to get out. Doesn't matter how many ppl are working the cashiers, each line seems to be longer than the next.
- 50% of the time, the sample tray is empty. And isn't refilled by the time I walk to store and go back.
The good:
- It was here that I discovered flattened bananas. This made my life. For real.
- When they do have samples, it's always something I will never buy, never eat, because it's so good that I will eat the whole box/bag/carton, etc. So it's quite nice that I just get the little bites when I'm here.
- The staff is pretty cool, but this seems to be standard at most Trader Joe's
- Parking, a decent amount of it.
- A man who helps direct traffic. He always smiles when I wave
- FABULOUS prices. My bananas are $1.29 a pop. Can't beat that, kids.
I love Trader Joe's. Sometimes the little things bug me (but really, I miss my thai tofu!), but overall, TJ's ios swell.
**Side note- I was there today and something strange happened. I bought seven items. I only know this because I count them after this happened. The gentleman rang me up, then looked at me and said, "You want a bag?" I wasn't sure how to respond..."Um, yes?" I'm still confused as to why he had to ask. Who the hell carries seven items in two hands? Sorry if I'm not that earth friendly, but if I have more to carry than I have hands...
I have never once had anything bad to say about Trader Joes. The prices are GREAT, the employees GREAT, free parking which is GREAT!! They also have such an awesome frozen food section, much of which isn't unhealthy.
My must haves when I come to Trader Joes: Their Blueberry Instant Oatmeal, Vegan Fried Rice, Frozen Peas (to add to the Vegan Fried Rice), and Chicken Chille Lime Burgers. My roommate gets these mini Chicken Tacos which are fabulous as well!
I hate to admit it but for someone who spends all her waking hours ordering food from all over the planet, I spend very little time in grocery stores. So much so that I had never been to Trader Joe's. Ever.
So someone took me and I must admit it was a wonderful experience. They had a decent selection of interesting ethnic items, imported cheeses and foodstuffs. This is the hard part. I didn't find their pricing that great. But I am biased because I deal directly with importers and wholesalers so I have an inside track on the going rate for a kilo of brie and goat cheese.
But I spent a bunch of money anyway and for the most part, enjoyed my finds. This particular store has great covered parking, a fairly navigable layout, decent selection and very friendly staff. I didn't get to sample anything because I went right before closing, which was good because to be honest its a little overwhelming. Like the first time you go to Costco.
If only this were closer to us, it'd be our requisite weekly grocer stop. Alas it's a bit out of the way, so Cermak Produce and the Jewels end up getting our biz by default. After (yet another) outstanding meal at J. Alex, we made our way through TJ's to pick up some groceries for the week.
The place is eat off the floor clean and overall they have a great selection of food. Prices are on par w. the jewels and defo cheaper than Dmick's. The ridiculously cheapo wine (and huge selection) is enough to keep you coming back. Fresh produce, fish, and other odd and ends make this a must stop when in the area and in need of groceries.
Oh Trader Joes, why didn't you come and preempt that stupid Best Buy that moved in up the street from me?
This is the best TJ's in the City. I'm sure it's irrational, but I feel like the Roscoe Village/Wrigleyville spot is super crappy by comparison, and the one downtown is too inconvenient.
The staff is great, the prices are good, what more could a guy want. Now, if we could just do something to make it illegal to produce "roundup ready" seeds...
I just recently broke my Trader Joe's cherry. (and with help from my mom!) So which product seduced me into submission? The Crunchy Curls...Lentil and Potato chips....Ohhhh this is a bag of delicious, crunchy heroin! Bags usually do not last more than a day in my apt!
So, i'm back in Shytown, and am going through withdrawls.....My girlfriend takes me to this location via automobile (she has a car....and my violent road rage does not allow me to own a car). I agree with most of the reviews on the parking situ. We went there on an off-peak time, and I don't even want to imagine rush hour here!
But, since I rely on CTA, I can easily bypass the dungeon of a parking lot, and get straight to the good stuff:
16 oz smoked salmon for $12, Fresh Basil Plant for $2 bones, a dozen or so of those friggin lentil chips, decent selection of wine, nuts and dried fruit for days!!! Oh, and i'm usually not a fan, but their turkey meatballs are purty friggin goooood! Surprised at how small the total bill was.....and loved how clean and refreshing the store appeared.....
I'm down to 1 bag of CC's......i'll see you in a few Teeej.....
I LOVE this store! The staff always seems "happy'! I want some of that!
They have a great selection of food and good prices. A ton better than Jewel or Dominicks.
As a kid, Trader Joe's seemed like a specialty store where you could buy packaged/frozen gourmet and ethnic food. It still is, but I can do quite a bit of general shopping here too.
TJ's has a lot of options for those with dietary restrictions; labels and signs point to vegan, gluten-free, etc. items. Two of my favorites are the soy chorizo and the wheat-free waffles. Other items I always buy here: dried fruit, nuts, brown rice pasta, minty shampoo, granola bars, shelf-stable soy milk, frozen artichokes, frozen veggie stir fry mix, natural cleaners. I used to buy the boxed Indian entrees all the time, but I prefer to make it myself now so I can have a larger portion.
I like to stop by the shelf of new items for an impulse buy. Hey, I like to try new things.
I don't generally buy produce here because the selection is limited and most items are plastic-wrapped. It seems less fresh.
Prices are much better than Whole Foods and typically the same or better than Jewel and Dominick's. The quality of the items doesn't suffer even though it's technically a store brand. In fact, it's better than many name-brand foods.
The service is quite friendly; the clerks are chatty and seem a lot more caring than those at other grocers. Most of the time they give me a raffle ticket for using my own bag.
Parking, while free, is a nightmare. It's difficult to navigate in the narrow, pillared indoor lot, and it's often packed. The store is usually packed after people get off work as well.
Great store: parking, good pricing, organics, conveniently small, decent selection of Bordeaux wines, nice imported European deserts
When I'm having a lazy, don't care much for cooking kinda week Trader Joe's is a great choice. One thing that bugs the crap out of me though is the produce section. Everything is wrapped in plastic and packaged up.
Convenient, yeah I guess if you're too damn lazy to grab some apples out of a bin. Wasteful? Absolutely. Please explain to me Trader Joe's, why I need my eggplant mummified in 3 layers of plastic wrap?
For a place that has this whole healthy, 'cares about the earth' vibe they sure don't have a problem with over packaging and importing frozen bags of veggies from across the globe. Read the plastic bags kids.
I feel like I need to go plant a tree after shopping here, even bringing my own bags doesn't make me feel any better.
I LOVE Trader Joe's!! I'm like a kid in a candy store whenever I go here. Everything is sooo reasonably priced and they have an awesome variety of snacks, healthy ones too! You can get some great meal ideas at this place too, if you don't like to cook there are a lot of delicious easy to make options here as well.
I love this place because....
-Plants year-round (I pretty much adopt one every time I go...)
-Huge variety of nuts and dried fruit
-Great produce selection and very low prices
-Great meats and seafood (I highly suggest the Salmon burgers...dinner is ready in less than 10 minutes!)
-The most delicious non-organic milk I've ever had (I love organic but it's a little too expensive for me to buy all the time)
-Soy Dream soy milk for wayyy cheaper than any grocery store ($3.29/half gallon)
-Great selection of snacks, including "Reduced Guilt" options
-Mochi ice cream (Green Tea and Mango are my faves)
-Great wine selection (including my favorite $4/bottle Purple Moon merlot)
-Great low-priced cheese selction (this is a good place to go if you want to explore some cheeses you haven't tried before)
-Delicious bread
My favorite Trader Joe's Meal?
***Grilled Cheese (with the Multigrain Sourdough & Jarlsberg swiss) with Zucchini Fries, and a little Purple Moon Merlot on the side. It's AMAZING!
As far as parking goes, I've never had trouble finding a spot on Clybourn or the streets behind the building...and whenever you bring your own bags you get a raffle ticket!
This Trader Joe's is awkwardly located, but it's still great!
It's just like the other Trader Joe's, which is really nice. The food quality is great and the selection is always high quality.
I absolutely love the Organic Ground Turkey, Ginger Cats cookies, and their frozen pizzas - as good as it gets!
Their organic/name brand products are also less expensive than other stores organic products, so it's worth it to go out of your way to the TJ's. Their prices are always low and reasonable and they have a great wine selection! I wish there was a larger beer selection, but I'm sure they're working on it!
Even though this is the TJ's that I frequent, all of the other locations are great!
Why is every employee here fucking stunning? Are they trying to make me only shop at one grocery store? Oh wait...
I have heard so many people talk about this store.
An old roommate of mine worked here and would talk about all the products they sold.
This guy I used to work with who happened to be a vegetarian as well always talked about it and everytime I saw him he asked me." Have you been to Trader Joe's yet?!?"
My friend always goes here and finally brought me along yesterday.
Trader Joe's is simply amazing. So many all natural products and for cheap. How do they do it? I spent 53 bucks here yesterday and it would have been so much more than that at Jewel or Whole Foods.
The one thing that was a huge comparison for me was the soy milk that I buy. I buy Soy Dream Vanilla Enriched Soy Milk. Seriously, this is the best soy milk out there people. At any rate, at Jewel, Soy Dream for the 32oz container is 2 for $6.50. or 3.25 each. At Trader Joes I got one 64oz container of Soy Dream for $2.99!! I couldn't believe it! I bought two of them which is $5.98, That's a gallon! At Jewel I would be paying $13 for a gallon!! wow!
I bought all the things I usually buy at Jewel/Whole Foods minus juice, peanut butter, and preserves, because I forgot them, and it was 53 bucks and some change! I will definately be coming here more often, especially since so many of their products don't contain artificial flavors, High Fructose Corn crap, and so much other junk that I don't eat.
Thank you to all those that were trying to help me out by telling me about Trader Joe's.
I have finally seen the light!
You know how some people can't walk into Target without spending a ton of money and buying way more than they intended? Yeah, that is me with TJs. Yes, sometimes it is a pain that they don't carry everything, but they have a good selection of foods I can eat with my new food allergy lifestyle, and they have lots of interesting new items quite often, which keeps me intrigued by allowing me to switch things up a bit. The prices are good, the staff is friendly, and it just has a feel to it I like.
I dig it.

The large buckets of Trader Joe's hummus are out all the time because it's so good and the best hummus deal in town. Goes great with their organic whole grain pitas. The trick is to go earlier in the day as their trucks get restocked everyday.
Everytime I come here they have something good that I sample and end up buying. From the Spinach blue cheese salad combo, to the thai food in a cartoon, the free sample section is always great and turns me onto new things.
Trader Joe's brand wine is actually pretty darn good too.
Ok so now for the secret.
Protip: Trader Ming's orange chicken frozen in a packet is perfect for a dinner for 2, plus a frozen stir fried chicken rice, and some fresh produce you cook yourself from the great selection of fruits and vegis.
Yeah the quality is a little higher at Whole Foods but Trader Joe's is still the best bang for your buck.
We LOVE shopping here! Healthy food, good bargains, friendly good service. The only dicey part is getting in and out of either upper or lower parking areas, but they are heated and indoors so that's cool. We do most of our grocery shopping here. In produce we get the sliced baby portabellas which often run out because the price is so low. We get TJ basil pesto sauce, TJ Punjab Spinach Sauce which has all the flavor without the heat, TJ brown rice pasta, TJ 40 oz bags of frozen chicken, etc. etc! The TJ canned CAT FOOD is really cool too. The ingredient quality seems pretty gormet (meat, no biproducts) for only 59 cents per can. PLUS all the employees are really upbeat in a non-fake kind of way. It's very noticeable and refreshing. Yay!!!
Even though this Trader Joe's is in an odd location, literally inside of a parking garage, it still feels homey.
I had a dinner party last night and Trader Joe's helped me fill up my wonderful vintage platters. TJ's is turning into that frozen food chain in Paris that David Sedaris wrote about in Me Talk Pretty One Day, where you can get gourmet anything in the freezer section.
Frozen artichoke hearts!
Just don't go to TJ's if you need napkins or plastic cups--they don't sell them.
I love me some Trader Joes. We (that is the roomie and I) decided that the Hummus there is amazing, to die for, jaw dropping, etc.
I have to admit I was very skeptical at first, with costs and everything else, but I am amazed everytime I walk out of there (usually because I brace myself for the shock). Even more importantly I am always thrown off balance by the people who work there. I am not complaining, here, but it is so odd to have an actual conversation with the cahsiers, rather then a how are you? good, Good.
The one down fall is the stupid upstairs garage, but seriously people, park in the basement. They validate and it's so much easier to get in and out of!
Trader Joe, will you be mine?
I am really impressed with two new frozen items I just bought - the Mandarin Orange Chicken and the Flan Parfait Cake.
The Mandarin Orange Chicken is very simple to prepare. It includes frozen battered chicken bites and a separate bag for the sauce. I recommend frying the chicken in peanut oil, adding the sauce, and I also add a little chili garlic sauce from my pantry. It's very tasty! It's better than some of the Chinese take-out I've had lately.
The Flan Parfait cake consists of a layer of chocolate cake on the bottom, a layer of flan, a thin layer of ganache, and whipped cream on top. I have to say it.... OMG! It's really good, but rich. You only need a thin slice of it. I'll definitely get both items again.

I can see making TJ's a once-a-month destination. To make life simple, here's a pro/con list:
Pro:
- grind-your-own coffee, for CHEAP! 1 pound of organic, Fair Trade dark French roast coffee is $5.99. And it's just how I like it- strong and delicious. Like my men. Moving on. . .
- The frozen and otherwise packaged goods. A great selection of snacks and quick-fix dinners that are relatively healthy, tasty, and cheap. Some current faves are the 99% fat free bean burritos and frozen biryani (I know that's not right but the freezer is so far away) rice- like fried rice but curried.
- The booze, of course. Great selection of beer and wine.
- Meat is pretty cheap for the quality. I think it's all-natural, not sure about veg fed or cage free. But tonight we had ground turkey from TJ's and it actually tasted like turkey, which hasn't happened since we've started buying Purdue.
Cons:
- most of the produce is pre-packaged in quantities that I can't deal with. I don't need 5 pounds of onions, I just need one onion.
- I always wind up buying stuff I really don't need. If I wasn't so strapped for cash, this wouldn't be a problem. But really, did we need the chicken nuggets? The frozen naan? No. No, we didn't.
So maybe once a month I'll come here, get some coffee and stock up on delicious non-essentials. It's still way cheaper than Whole Foods, and makes me feel way better than Jewel. Plus the staff really is very friendly, which makes for a pleasant experience.
I love TJ's, especially this location. I'm not the only one apparently because it's always crowded. My one complaint is the fool who designed the parking garage - for a newer structure couldn't you fashion an entrance where 2 cars could enter/exit without the possibility of a head on collision? As someone who drives stick I dread the man on the stool telling me to stop just as I near the top of the incline!
Back to the store. What's not to love about TJ's? The food is awesome!! Some of my favorites include the fresh salsa (comes in hot & mid, but can be mixed together to make medium), which is has a pico de gallo consistency. I love it alone, with my kick ass taco dip or when I make chili (saves me the hassle of dicing tomatoes, peppers and onions). The baked mac & cheese (frozen food aisle) is to die for, it puts Stouffer's to shame. Let's not forget the $2 chuck, you can't beat the price for good wine. As a chocoholic I love the chocolate selection at the check out aisle. My favorite is the Dark Chocolate with Hazelnuts by Ritter Sport; I'm not sure what's sporty about chocolate, but I'm not complaining. I could go on and on, but I won't otherwise my favorites would be out of stock every time I went :)
Love this place and it's satisfaction guarantee! The staff's really friendly here too.
I like this place as they prices are reasonable and I like the selection.
I really enjoy trying new things and they have a nice return policy, if you don't like it take it back with your receipt. I use that to my advantage being the picky eater I am.
This location is my favorite when I'm out running errands and they have parking too.
