I play games for a living (I'm a speech therapist) and I usually end up buying them myself, so I really appreciate Toy-go-round's used prices.  I love that Toy-go-round recycles gently loved toys for children of all ages.  I loved that their toys are all clean and all the pieces are there.  I love that they have batteries in all their toys, so you can try them right there.  I love the sheer amount of toys, books and games that they stock.

Today I bought... preschool toys, reading games for my autistic student, glow-in-the-dark building materials, star wars potatoheads, a book, two puzzles and a handful of small plastic cats.  Everything was under 85 dollars, but it would have easily been 150 dollars worth if I had gone to a big box store.

It's a small store and sometimes can be really crowded with kids and their parents.  I tend to notice which toys that are grabbing the attention of the  children.  One thing, there are some "new" toys interspersed throughout the store and these can be a little pricey, just be sure to check the price.

I hope I can encourage you to enjoy this store as well, AND bring in those gently loved toys that your children are no long playing with... so I can buy them!!!  (I know, I am sooooo greedy!)

I love this store, and I hope that you will love it too!

Visited Toy-Go-Round for the first time this afternoon. The store is neat and organized and is staffed by friendly and helpful people. The store is filled with recycled toys, books and children's level DVDs in good condition along with some new toys here and there. It is a great consignment place to bring toys your children have no interest in.

Was fascinated to scan their shelves. Some of the toys in their store are old and are similar to ones I played with such as the little metal loom in which you could weave elastic strips into perhaps a pot holder.

It was enjoyable to listen to the kids that came into the store with their parents and their excited comments.

The store is open 7 days a week. Aisles are  pretty narrow but perhaps might be accessible for wheelchairs. Parking is on the street.

Even if you do not have any kids in your family, come by and check them out as a "big kid". You might find something that will interest you.

Excellent place for selling your model horse collection when you finally grow up or get too embarrassed to keep it, kid's gifts, and  teaching kids about reuse.

Very well run consignment shop. They usually aren't. BRAVO!

I haven't been in Toy go Round in many years, but when my kids were growing up in Albany, this was our favorite store.  I recall about 3 locations over the years, and I'm guessing that this is still a corner location.

When your kids out grow their things, this is where to take it, since it  is a consignment shop and you get an account & can periodically pickup your earnings.  But I,  & Laura & Ben used to love finding treasures here.  I especially liked their used, but usually complete, jigsaw puzzles, since I was a puzzle fanatic for a long time.

The store has always been friendly & the 2 ladies who originally ran it [ I don't know if they still do] knew how to run a very good business. Anyone could take lessons from them on how to do it.  We always felt welcome there & always left with fun stuff.

I have a grandchild now & by writing this have convinced myself that I need to go shop there again!

Okay, this is going to be my most biased review...  I worked at Toy Go Round all through college and some time after.  This store has the best used children's book collection you will ever find.  The books are half off their original cover price and if you are dilligent you can find almost anything.  The used toys are careful checked over by the employees and if you are jonesing for that Fisher Price Farm that your parents tossed, TGR is the place to find it and it will be as close to complete as anything you get off of ebay.  I still shop there and recently found a great collectiable Star Trek gift set for one of my hard-to-shop-for co-workers.  I can't say enough good things about this place.  If you believe in buying local, going green and supporting community, shop here.

These guys are great. I love being able to consign our old toys for store credit to buy new ones. Talk about recycling. I also love supporting a small local business like this. They have a great revolving selection and are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

This family-owned business is my favorite toy store.  They're small and don't have tons and tons of stock like Toys R Us, but they are still far and away my fave.  Why?  The staff are super-friendly and helpful, it's a family-owned, local business, and its main stock consists of a fantastic selection of used toys.  What does that mean to a huge geek like myself?  COLLECTIBLES.  And not just any collectibles but assloads of collectibles at very reasonable prices.  Hmmm.  Perhaps I shouldn't be posting this online and keep this secret to myself.  They stock lots of new toys as well, and their book selection is excellent-- far better than TRU.   Every Tuesday is discount book day!  Between the reasonably-priced collectibles, dirt-cheap used toys, great selection of new toys, stellar and cheap used videos and DVDs, and huge book selection (new and used) you simply will not leave there without finding something you or someone you know will love.  Check it out.
