I highly recommend Chris if you're looking to find a reliable and highly-skilled massage therapist. I'm telling you, this guy knows what he's doing! I'm usually not a big fan of massages, being that most of the massueses that I've sought after either beat the crap out of my body or just did a very poor job. But i decided to give it another try after developing very bad posture and a sore upper back from my previous job. Chris did a phenomenal job at alleviating the tension in my neck and shoulders. I felt completely relaxed. Another bonus is that the massage is altered to your needs. Chris is great with taking input, and he takes the extra time on the more problematic areas that needs more attention. I also appreciate the fact that he takes the effort to keep you well informed on the areas that he will be working on. I'm also very pleased that he builds in stretching in his sessions as well.

His prices are definitely reasonable and affordable! He even has a membership plan that makes getting massages on a regular basis more affordable.

So whether you're looking for pain relieving massage for just some time to yourself to relax I most definitely recommend Chris. Count on me coming back! =D

My Daughter found Chris on yelp and bought it as Mother's Day gift to me. I had a deep-tissue massage from Chris. Before the massage, Chris took time to let me know how he would do the massage and asked me about my problem areas (sore muscle), later he put special efforts on these areas. I enjoyed the massage very much. The entire process was peaceful, comfortable and very relaxing. The Massage was great help to me.

When I become a millionaire, I will get a massage everyday :)

I found Chris on yelp. He has set up a comfortable environment in his studio. I have had just one massage from him yet but it was a very good  experience. I am hoping to make this a regular thing.

You will get more than the standard massage here. He adds some other bodywork like stretching to his massage. He encourages feedback about the pressure and areas to work on. The level of conversation during the massage is also up to you.

Thanks Chris!

Chris is class-act.  The massage was very relaxing, and I definitely felt good the next few days following a 90-minute session.  There were a few unique things that Chris did that were particularly noteworthy:
1) He explained exactly what he would be doing prior to actually doing the massage - kind of like going to a nice restaurant and having the waiter give you a short description of the food on your plate before you eat.  I thought this definitely added to the experience.
2) He has a very nice ambiance going with relaxing music, muted tranquil colors, candle lighting, etc.  Again, this made a big difference.
3) The massage included stretching along the way, which does as much to relax muscles as massage in some cases.  He was also able to access muscles that usually never get attention.
Overall, I was very happy with the experience and intend to go back again - after sending my wife first, of course.

I found Chris on yelp. I was in desperate need of a massage because I've had really bad muscle tension, probably as a result of sitting at my computer all day working on my dissertation. Chris squeezed me in the same day. His studio is a converted garage in his house; it's a warm and pleasant setting with comfortable couches and the standard massage table, dim lights, and soft music playing in the background.

I got a deep-tissue massage from Chris, and he guided me through some serious passive stretches towards the end. I had never done stretching with a masseuse, but it was really great. I wish my masseuse at Therapeia in San Francisco had done that when I came to her immediately after I ran a marathon. I think anyone who runs or does any regular physical activity would find the stretching really helpful. Chris uses a fragrance-free massage gel, which is nice because I'm not big on additional sensory stimulation when I'm getting a massage. He was accommodating to the level of pressure I asked for. I wasn't sure if I needed 60 minutes or 90 minutes, so Chris stopped after an hour, we talked about areas that were still problems, and he continued for another half hour. I could immediately feel the difference when he started working on one shoulder blade before he moved on to the other. I don't know if I've noticed an effect so quickly before.

I've had massages in the past, a few at Therapeia, a few in Napa Valley, and a few in Illinois where I go to school. While going to Chris obviously isn't a spa experience, and his studio isn't quite as nice as Therapeia or some of the spas in Napa Valley, I think he's an excellent masseuse and his studio is a great place to go if what you want is a no-frills massage from a knowledgeable, talented professional.

Also, his rates are very reasonable.

I don't know anyone these days that doesn't have STRESS. We thrive on it. Sometimes it gets overwhelming to our bodies without us being really aware of it until we develop symtoms. For over 15 years I have been a believer in massage therapy for various reasons such as injuries, stress, fatigue and depression. When I came to California about 2 years ago the hardest thing was giving up my massage therapist because I thought I would never find anyone as good. BOY WAS I WRONG! and HE IS CERTIFIED!
I met Chris and his wonderful family through work, finding all were very special in their caring ways.
Chris provides therapy for me with his gifted hands. Not only is he knowledgable of the body but he is excellent at finding problem areas that I did not know were developing. The cummulative effect of massage for me is curative and Chris is the Healer !

I HATE MASSAGE!

Or at least I did until I finally let Chris get his hands on me.
So I do hair, which if you don't know, does nothing good for your body.
I have lower back issues from being bent over shampooing people for years, bursitis in my shoulders from blow-drying, and a myriad of other repetitive stress issues.
Chris has been a client of mine for a few years and has always said I should try a massage to help with the stuff I'm always complaining about. Hating massage as I do I've always politely declined his voodoo rubbing advances, in my estimation massage therapy is akin to seeing a witch doctor for cancer treatment, I'm all about good old Vicodin when I have an ache.
So two things happened to land me in Chris's at home massage studio. #1 I woke up one morning unable to lift my left arm above my shoulder and when I went to the doctor she told me I should think about trying massage to alleviate some of the tension that was causing the lack of motion in my shoulder, this on it's own wouldn't have been enough.
#2 the next day Chris was in for a haircut and saw me wincing while i was working and before he sat down he gently took hold of my shoulder and worked the giant knot that was bothering me and within a few minutes I felt like a new man, I scheduled an appointment right then and there.
A few days later I find myself in his studio, in my skivies listening to ambient french jazz type music having the most relaxing experience of my life.
One of the reasons I hate massage is the smarmy happy ending type vibe i get from most masseuses I've met, the other is that I CANNOT handle too much pressure and no matter how i explain this every masseuse tries to see if they can actually put a hand through my body and touch the table, I guess some people like that kinda S&M stuff but not for me I want a soothing calming massage.
Chris gave me just that. He was really sensitive to my comfort and made sure i was cool the whole way through the process. By the time he was done I actually fell asleep, something that I've never done during a massage.

All in all it was the best massage experience I've ever had and I'll so be coming back!
