My wife introduced me to Toto's pizza last year and I gota say I'm HOOKED! I don't know what they have in there that makes it so amazing but I refuse to eat anything else but Totos.

I have' tons of pizza from all around USA and Canada and this Pizza is hands down the best, my favorite is Special number 1.

Lucy B would give Toto's San Bruno 5 stars all the way!  Bbbut, they don't deliver to my part of town - 10 minutes away.  I miss the days of old when Toto's was in Daly City and the local families would gather to eat at the restaurant there.  If our table wasn't ready, if was fun watching them throw the dough and make the pizzas.

One star off for non-delivery.  Yet, the pizza, spaghetti, the ravioli and the simple garlic bread all rate 5 stars!

I just made myself hungry for a Totos #3.  I think I'm going to order a pizza and head to San Bruno.

Why did it take me 6 months of residing in San Bruno to find this little gem? Love their pizza! And the thing is, pizza isn't normally my 1st  takeout choice.

Toto's No.3 = Italian sausage, pepperoni and mushroom. Plain, simple, and awesome! Can't speak for any other cause I haven't tried any. But I'll be back.

I really, really like Toto's. I could eat their fresh, quality pizzas and Italian-sit-down-restaurant-quality pastas everyday. I'm starting to think that's not a good thing.

Being from New Jersey pizza is something I treasure. When I pulled up to Toto's Pizzeria I was excited and eager to try their pizza. They used the proper ovens (something rare I've noticed in California), made the dough the right way, they were even dressed properly. Upon getting my pie my excitement grew as it was larger than I anticipated. I rushed home to devour this work of art covered in sausage, peppers, and onions! A pure delight to the eyes! Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed after my first bite. I ate more thinking what I was tasting was in my mind and I was being overly judgemental. But it was confirmed when I asked my girlfriend what she thought. The sauce was horrid! My first thought was of ketchup. But thinking back it tastes like a can of tomato sauce with no seasoning. It lacked oregano, a required ingredient for good sauce. I'm sure other seasonings were missing as well.

I was sadly disappointed. I hope to one day find a pizzeria as good as the average pizza place back home but I fear in the Bay area it won't happen. I struggled to give two stars as I feel one is deserved. I gave the extra star for appearance of the pizza.

When we were moving in, I jumped on Yelp! to find the highest rated pizza place in my new neighborhood, and Toto's came up.  I promptly dialed and ordered delivery.

Fast forward nearly 10 months later, I'm driving home and craving pizza.  Use my handy dandy BB Yelp! App to find highest rated pizza place near home, and Toto's comes up.  I call and order for pick up.

Get home, eat the decent but relatively mediocre pizza and realize that I've had this before. . . Yes, it's the same darn pizza we ordered when we first moved in, but forgot all about because it was eh, not so fabulous that I'd want to order their pizza again.

Hopefully by writing this review, I won't accidentally try them for the first time again, only to be disappointed by the overinflated Yelp! rating.

the first time i had toto's was for a small lunch meeting and we ordered a pepperoni and red onion pizza. it was sooo tasty. maybe it was because i've never had that combo before but i kept going back for more. my favorite pizza place is round tables (i dont care what you think!!) but i dont think they would be able to make it the way toto's did.

anyhoo.. today we had lunch from here cuz my boss is just that awesome. i had the lasagna lunch special. it came with garlic bread. it was only $5.50 and it was much larger than i thought it would be. it was oh so cheesy and had tons of sauce. perfect for dipping my garlic bread.

this isnt the best pizza i've had but its a good deal for what you get.

What happened to the dough? You messing with the dough and its not the same!  I just picked up an extra large cheese pizza and was looking forward to the best pizza in the Bay Area and I was shocked to find out upon biting into the pie that the divine crust soft and chewy delicious crust I was expecting was no more.  I hope I just got a bad batch and that you guys didn't change the dough recipe!  The dough didn't have any flavor so the entire pie wasn't the same. I will purchase one more pizza and if I get the same dough that I did today I'm sorry to say that I will have to say bye bye to Toto's for good. Poo Hoo!

If you love pizza like i do, then this is just another favorite to add to the list. Cheesy, topping filled pizza brings excitement to the mouth. I've had their pizza about 5 times and each time was always a yummy one. Just when you think you've had the last slice, you can always squeeze an extra one in. This place does get crowded on the weekend so plan on arriving just a little before it gets busy. The pricing is pretty decent which also contributes to my 4 stars. Salad is good too! k. g2g. oh wait, one thing. the parking lot is not that big, so plan on taking some time to find a good spot to park.

I miss the old location (in Daly City). It was so much bigger and had a couple of nice dining rooms, including a Joe Montana room. This place is small but they seem to move people in and out quickly. Somehow a table opens up just in time to sit down as your number is being called.

I've had 4 of the 5 "Toto's Specials" but my favorite is #3. It's got nice pieces of sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms. The crust is basically thin and cooked just right...a little crispy around the edges and soft and chewy on the inside. I like the sauce here too. Not too spicy but you know it's there. The flavors of the meat really pop. Even the mushrooms taste...well like mushrooms. Not rubbery because they're fresh. All this held together with just the right amount of mozzarella. You might want to get a salad to munch on while you wait for your pizza...I get the regular size. It's enough for 2 or 3 and has lots of nice stuff on it, cucumbers, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, olives, pepperonccini. etc.

The service at the counter is always good. They have at least 2 people working it when it's busy. There is usually a nice gentleman in the dining area to help with getting plates and utensils. The busboys are quick to clear the tables as they open up and will happily box what you don't finish for take home.

For all the years I've been coming here I've never had their pasta. Probably because I've always been so happy with their pizza. One of my favorites in the Bay Area.

Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a...SLICE! - The Fray (How to save a life)

When is the last time you couldn't decide what to eat for dinner and wanted a "different" slice of pizza? By different, I mean unlike the generic taste of the fast food chains where you pretty much know what you are going to taste before the first bite enters your mouth and you realize the rest of the pizza is gonna go downhill from there? There's nothing wrong with that, but this place will be a nice wrench to stop the cycle of pizza mediocrity.

Fear not my fellow yelpers, the overall "home-like" atmosphere in this place will make you think of simpler times, when pizza was enjoyed family style and you can dig into your food without feeling like you need a napkin after every bite. Imagine eating at home in front of your television with your favorite sitcom on or a baseball game; that's what it feels like with your fellow diners at Toto's. Pizza is meant to be enjoyed civil-lessly, unless you want to eat it Chicago style(with a knife and fork) in which case they have the necessary utensils for you to enjoy it whichever way you please.

The best thing about this place is that you can see them making your pizzas and putting them in the ovens because the kitchen is in an open area, which I think is a plus in Pizza restaurants. The worst thing about this place is that you might have to wait for a table because on weekends, it could be packed. If the worst thing about a place is that you have to wait because it has TOO many people, then you really have no probs, am I right? Alternative: if you don't like waiting- take out is always an option but not one I would recommend because like I've stated all along, the Toto's Pizzeria experience is AT Toto's.

Food: 4 stars --- Service --- n/a --- Atmosphere: 5 stars --- Price 4 stars

Amazing that you need to go to San Bruno to get real Old School SF Pizza.  According to there marketing they were originally opened in North Beach.  The pizza is always good quality, the crust is tradiditonal SF style and they have a quaint pizza place feel.  It's nice to get away from the trendy, hipster, foodie pizza places in the City and enjoy pizza the way it used to be.  Bravo Toto's, I'll keep coming back.

If I ever want pizza, I don't order Pizza Hut or Dominoes.  I go to Toto's for some of the best pizza I've ever had.

My parents love this place, and usually they'll be the ones to actually suggest going out for pizza.  They like to order anchovies, pepperoni, sausage, and salami.  Yes, you read correctly.  ANCHOVIES.

As you might imagine, it turns into a really salty pizza.  But delicious.  Add a pitcher of Root Beer and you come out with a great meal.  Once in awhile if we're feeling really hungry we might throw in a Caesar Salad.  That's also very good, and helps us feel better about all the meat on top of the pizza.

The place is fairly clean, and overall has a great pizza parlor feeling.  I suggest visiting Toto's at least once if you're in the mood.

My aunt Anita really loved this place. It was probably her favorite Italian (and that's saying a lot since she was married to a Chicago Southside Italian American). The toppings are good and for once the pepperoni didn't make my husband burp (as sign of quality pepperoni). Personally I like to ectomy my pizza as my optimum protein to carb ratio prevents eating more than one slice the normal way. On the other hand I do like their crust, but no matter how well the crust is made unless it's a gluten-free one it's not a mutual attraction - thus ectomy time.

Service is prompt and friendly.

Toto's-- YES!

Only a few places have what I consider to be the ideal pizza.  This is one of them.  It has the perfect balance of crust, sauce, and toppings that never fails to set me into pizza frenzy*  A lot of places serve some pretty good pizza, but I have, as of yet, not been to a place that has been able to top the pie that is lovingly cooked (and eaten) at this restaurant.

Apart from the excellent pizza experience, this place also makes fantastic pastas (meat and no meat) as well as yummy caesar salad, garlic bread and bottomless drinks.  The price is right too.  Service is always friendly and ready to give you exactly what you order every time.

The only minus is that this this place is so popular that the place can get packed and REALLY noisy.  Comes with the price of eating as such a great place. . .   You want pizza?  They got the pizza you've been craving.  Go there, and get enough to take home for later.

*PIZZA FRENZY--adj.  A term that describes a state of being where you just keep eating slice after slice of pizza, ignoring that pesky "full" feeling, until there is nothing left.

Not the BEST pizza in the peninsula, but it is a great pizza to have if you're in the area.

I grew up on this stuff.   Very good quality meats/cheeses at reasonable prices.  There's a very well organized kitchen w/the staff pumping out pizzas as fast as they are ordered.

My wife and I actually like the mini meatball subs the best at this place.
They are small tasty and just the right size to not bog you down.

It's definitely sloppy pizza and the toppings slide all over...but the taste helps override that.

Check it out the next time you are in Millbrae!

So, we were stuck in Burlingame, CA with no car. We wanted pizza. Now. I looked on Yelp and this fabulous place came up.

We ordered, and asked if it would be a problem to deliver to Burlingame. Nope. Our order was hot and ready and AT OUR HOTEL DOOR in 35 minutes on a Saturday night. Sweet!

Pizza was very good. Chewy crust, sweet yet spicy sauce, and yummy meat toppings. It had us full from dinner, and feed my partner two breakfasts and me one drunk snack the next night. Not bad for $20!

"There wasn't any parking!"

"It's hard to find a table!"

If you're running a top notch restaurant with legions of fans, then this is what you're likely hear from time to time. Toto's is one such place that has loyal customers from all over the Bay. This place is usually jam packed during the dinner time rush hour, so plan ahead accordingly.

Our group of ten divided a couple of extra large #3 (pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom) specials and we absolutely loved em. Each pie was packed with fresh toppings from end to end. The mozzarella and tomato sauce complemented the crispy crust perfectly. SOOOOOO GOOD. The reviews are right on the money ladies and gentlemen. It's easy to see that the folks at Toto's KNOW how to make an excellent pie. Hopefully in the future they'll expand their dining room just a tad bit more.

Toto's is still my favorite pizza around these parts.  I was so sad when their Daly City shop closed but delighted when I found out they moved to San Bruno.  Still the same driving distance for me, but still glad they stuck around.  Their pizzas have a flavorful crust and aren't super thin, which is why I love their pizzas so much.  They're a little pricey compared to most pizza chains, but I'd be willing to pay a premium price for their pizzas.  So good!!!

Yum! It's a little pricey ($20 for a medium), but it's also a darn good pizza! We got a vegetarian, half with no cheese, which included tomatoes, green and red peppers, red onion garlic and mushrooms. It's very easy to overcook the veggies or make the cheeseless part of the pizza too watery, but this place got it just right. We'll come back.

Off the hook deliciousity of Neapolitan pizza perfection.

I've been a Toto's patron ever since the days of the Mission location in SF. Toto's was a staple of our Sunday afternoons growing up and to this day continues to deliver some of the best food around at a fair price. From the hand-spun crust to the fresh toppings, it is pretty much difficult to go wrong at this place. My favorite is an extra-large salami, bell pepper, and onion. Or maybe pepperoni, mushroom and onion. Or meatballs and ...hell. It's all good. Add to that beer by the pitcher, a salad, glass of wine for the girl, and a tablefull of friends and you've got the makings of a great night out. Even better if a Giants game should playing on the TV.

This place can become crowded so be prepared for a possible wait to be seated. But kitchen crew works at a feverish pace. Once your order is placed at the counter, it won't be long before you are be sinking your teeth into a slice of tomato sauce and mozzarela draped greatness. This place packs more taste in one crumb than most chain joints have in their whole shop.

Go here only if you like things that are good.

I grew up on this pizza, I have probably had it hundreds of times throughout the years.  Toto's has become the benchmark for which i judge all other pizza.  I have had plenty of pizza from all over the world that has been good for different reasons but never have I craved a pizza as consistently as Toto's.  I always order a Toto's #2 which is sausage, salami, mushroom, and add garlic.  The crust has some sweetness to it, along with a sweet and fresh tasting sauce.  That sweetness combined with the salty salami, and sausage makes my mouth water.  We have a plethora of amazing pizza places in the bay area.  They are all good for different reasons, it's just this is the one I always come back to and that alone is worth 5 stars.

Been going here my entire life--it's a family tradition.  We used to alternate between this one and the old Daly City location (they used to give us dum-dums--remember those tiny lollipops?) before it got torn down to make way for the Century theatre complex monstrosity (boo!).

The San Bruno's pizza is *almost* as good as the Daly City location used to be (they had slightly spicier sauce).  Fabulous crust, and there's something really unique about their pepperoni--it spoils you; very high quality. I live in the City now, but I still go back from time to time, it's that good.

We love the garlic and pepperoni pizza--the family that reeks together stays together!

One of my favorite pizza's.

Ordered a medium pizza. Plenty of tomatoe sauce, cheese and spices on a medium crust; ours had nuggets of sausage. IMHO, a consistantly good pizza.

And when my jones get out of hand, I still have a slice in my reefer,

The side dinner salads of crispy lettuce, a few thin slices of purple onion with a scoop of 3 bean salad was satisfying.

About $29.00 for a solid pizza, crispy salad and pitcher of soda.

Tip: they have a meatball sando w/ side salad for $7.95; it's off menu.

Tip #2: they usually have a 'family' style plate of spaghetti that is a huge amount of food for two. It's a deal.

Usually, they have a game on.

Customer service: fine.

Decor: pizza joint.

Decent parking.

I always pass by this place whenever I'm driving on el camino, and most times it usually is packed with people. The bf and I decided, (well, I think I was the one who decided) to go and give it a try. I was super amazed about how close the pizza tasted to NY style pizza, and TRUST me when I say this, I am a die hard NY pizza girl. Nothing can be beat. I had onions and peppers and he had mushroom and pepperoni. No ranch dressing, no garlic, just right.  As I took a bite over and over again, I was telling him how good this pizza was. Then the most unusual thing happened. The minute we got home, we both felt very uneasy. Our stomachs were not feeling so hot and I'm definitely hoping it was not Toto's fault.

One of the only things I missed after I moved from the Peninsula to SF was Toto's Pizza. You don't understand... growing up I had this pizza on the daily... delivered to my home. Now I have to schlep all the way to San Bruno and sit inside to eat it. (Gets cold on the way home and a certain bull tries to eat it). The ambiance inside is less than stellar. I preferred having it delivered to my home. I always  order the same- sausage pizza, garlic bread, spaghetti, and salad with their amazing blue cheese dressing. I have their number forever ingrained in my head 873-8686!

Seriously though, this is one of my favorite pizza places ever. Perhaps it's the nostalgia of how it brings me back to my childhood. It actually was the first slice of pizza I ever had growing up and has since set the bar. It's not your gourmet Little Star/Pauline's type of pizza. It's just a traditional family style amazing cheese pizza with the perfect crust, never too greasy, and the most tasty amazing sausage. It tasted delicious cold too, which is always a plus. I sometimes trek down here and make my friends try it and they always go back again even without me (sacrelig!). Anyway, def. a gem in San Bruno. If you like sausage or pizza you must try Toto's. One of my only gripes is that I wish they still had their old Street Fighter II arcade game. Those were the days.. beating up boys with Chun Li and eating pizza is always a favorite pastime of mine. Need a girl ask for more?

Good, sloppy pizza that I get whenever I go back to Millbrae to visit my mom. Great delivery service, chronic pies, no complaints from me. Something about their sauce makes them a little unique - maybe it is a touch spicier than most? Pepperoni and sausage and I'm a happy man.

We have Toto's cater some work lunches for 100+ employees, and everyone always loves it.   I'm a East Coast native so I'm very picky on pizza but this place does an excellent job:  cheese is gooey but not too greasy, with lots of flavor in the sauce.  Nothing can ever match New York pizza but this is pretty close!

Ok seriously this should not be called pizza...it should be called sauce and vegetables with some meat on chewy dough! The pizza did not taste like pizza...it was really foreign to me and it did not live up to all the five star reviews. I am from the east coast and I have had my share of bad pizza here in the Bay Area but this by far takes the cake as to how awful an expensive pizza can taste.

If you are a kid or senior citizen with limited taste buds I can see liking this place!! You are better off heading over to Costco and getting a special for less $$$ way less $$$. Or better yet make one at home I am sure it would taste better and be more interesting that the pizza you would get from Toto's...I realize that this is just a matter of taste but the bottom line is with all these five-star reviewsI really expected it to be so much better!!

The crust and sauce is what make Toto's the one and only! I honestly can say it's my favorite pizzeria. Sausage with extra mushrooms baby! I miss the Daly City location but San Bruno location still carries on the tradition of giving children Dum Dum Pops! I'm glad my wife and I can always agree on this place and my son reminds me of myself when I was a young child by stuffing his pockets with Dum Dums. Even he likes this place and that says a lot since he is picky eater. He also thinks the name is funny and says it in a Puerto Rican accent.
