I like this place - I just didn't like the prices [at first] nor the fact that my stupid insurance doesn't cover me for chiropractic coverage. Overall, I do like Doctor Tina and the treatment. I always feel sooo much better when I leave there. As Noel noted below, they do offer adjustments for $20 if you are a student . . but the massages are still $34. Still that isn't too bad.

Update May 13, 2008
Adasa is who to see! After assuring her I loved pressure I almost had to tap out because she was pushing so hard but when she released....heavenly. I called my bf afterward and apologized for cheating on him cause it was so orgasmic. My muscles were pleasantly like jello.
-------------------------------------------------- ---------
I received a three massage package as a gift for Christmas. Each massage was only supposed to be a half hour but I paid an extra $20 to make it a full hour without any billing problems. Ensure that you get the time you pay for though. My masseuse stopped after 30 minutes, it took her a couple of minutes outside of the room to realize her mistake but made up for it with an extra (free) 20 minutes!
I got exactly what was paid for, a cheap, get the job done, no thrills massage. I'm not complaining though, any massage is a good massage; just don't expect scented oils or a warm room. I was freezing and the only thing they cover you with is a normal sized towel (your shoulders and feet can't be warm at the same time). The technique was unusual and the masseuse needed to be more confident in what she was doing. It really interrupts my relaxation if I'm being asked if I'm ok every ten minutes. Plus, during round two, after the half hour was up, she was a little clueless on how to proceed and I had to direct her to which areas to work on beyond my back. Granted, this is probably due to just getting an inexperienced masseuse, I'm definitely requesting someone else next time.
Soon I'm sure I'll take advantage of the $20 student rate for a chiropractic adjustment, which isn't just the first-time price (I asked).
Judging only by services performed, I would give Total Fitness Chiropractic only two stars. It's just another hole in the wall massage parlor. The price though, boosts the rating with another star.

I went into Total fitness for the free consultation, everything was going great and I had the receptionist check my insurance to see if the services are covered so I could continue with the therapy. She said it was covered, but in reality they were not. So I went for a coupple months and paid my co pay. I ended up getting a bill for about 200 dollars a few months later for the services I was led to believe were covered. I don't know why the receptionist even works there if she doesnt understand billing and coding! I guess they just get more money that way! They do get 2 stars for the massage therapist, the many services and the chiropractors are GOOD at what they do, they are just not very good at billing and it comes off as dishonest.
I went for the free consultation over six months ago and since then have gone in irregularly for massage. Brenda is perfect for me and Shayla is good, too. The place is very clean, the receptionist is very nice and calls me back right away and Dr. Tina Nafei calls me by name each time I come in. I've never felt pressured to do anything other than what I requested. I recommend them to everyone!

This is THE place to go if you ach! If you don't want to run several places to be fully treated, just go to Total Fitness Chiropractic. Dr. Nafei works with Dr. Walker and a great team of massage therapists to help you get better and faster. They will provide you not only with adjustment, but also massage and physical therapy to improve your condition and help you maintain a good health in a long run.
You can go there to get a "quick fix" if you want to, but if you are looking for a long term solutions to your pain, then this is the place to go.
As a matter of pricing, they are very reasonable. They work with many insurances and if your insurance doesn't cover they can work out packages and payments schedule. I've never had any issue with the receptionist about the billing!!! I'm a big girl. I check myself with my insurance if they cover or not chiropractic services. And I can talk by experience, I've changed 3 times insurance since I go to Dr. Nafei, and for each insurance I knew if I was covered or not.
So to sum up, you're looking for a serious, relieving, long-term treatment to your pain? Go to Total Fitness Chiropractic.
This place has a lot of services to offer. HOWEVER, they are quite sneaky. I went there to see if my spine was causing any problems and Dr. Nafei was real nice about everything. She gave us the first consultation appt. free and brought us back a second time for a free 30 minute massage. The services were great and the people were nice, but I just couldn't afford it at the time. What do you know 2 or 3 months later I get a letter in the mail noted '2nd notice'.... I read it and it basically asked for over $200 in services that I had not paid. I thought that was very shady and unnecessary. They lure people with 'free' services and what not and if they don't buy there huge packages within a few weeks they ask for the money... I would never ever go here again and never recommend anyone at all. I wouldn't trust someone with my spine who has no knowledge of customer respect and service. For all I know they would probably move my spine around even more so I could buy more packages.
