Great little Salvadorian place in the heart of downtown Mt. Rainier. The pupusas, yucca, tacos, burritos are all fantastic. I haven't tried the more standard carry-out fare of subs, fried chicken, fries, etc, but it is available. Service can be slow (10-15 mins wait, everything is cooked to order) so call ahead.
Tortilla Kitchen is a tiny Salvadorian take-out place in Mount Rainier, MD about 1/2 block from the DC border. The menu ranges pretty widely, from pupusas and tamales to fried chicken and sandwiches. I get dinner there frequently but stick with the excellent pupusas, rice and beans. It is so delicious and very very cheap. My husband and I can eat dinner for under $7 for the both of us. Definitely call ahead since the food (at least the pupusas) are made to order and it can take a while. The staff is also very nice and friendly. I think they deliver but I've never tried it.
