They've got a new look and a new menu...but they are still heavy handed on the salt!

I did not want to leave campus for lunch today and decided to check out the new menu at the newly remodeled taqueria. I ordered a duo of tacos (1 chicken & 1 beef): http://www.yelp.com/bi... on flour tortillas with everything and the salsa quemada (their hottest, but still not very hot!) The chicken taco was pretty darn good and flavorful. They were a little skimpy on the meat, but you can see that in the photo. The beef taco was another story. It seemed to be barbacoa (shredded beef style) and was just extremely salty like their old menu's food! The various toppings could not provide any balance to the saltiness. I also ordered a side of their sauteed vegetables: http://www.yelp.com/bi... and while they were nicely sauteed they seriously lacked any sort of seasoning!

I saw someone else ordering nachos and they looked like boring movie theater nachos. I'd give this place another shot in the future, but I will stick to just the tacos and burritos and strictly chicken.

Check out their menu here: http://allears.net/dlr...

We went here for my cousin's birthday.  We were a party of 12 including a toddler.  We didn't wait too long to get seated.

Pros:
The place is pretty big and the atmosphere was great.
They have a balloon guy walking around to entertain the kids.

Cons:
The food was blah..I've tasted better at Chipotle.
The service was S........L........O.........W!!
The waitress was a bit rude.  I think she was being funny but it wasn't!
The waitress does not listen.  (I've asked for no beans and guacamole...did I get beans and guacamole?  It's not a big deal since I'm allergic to guacamole.
They are a bit pricey.
By the way the place was not busy at all so why are they sooo slow?  Hmmmm....

TOTILLA "EHH" JO's TAQUERIA

I've tried the shredded beef nachos and tacos and they're quite good. They have an outdoor patio with an umbrella for shade. They have condiments outside there window and if if you can't find a shade they have a cement bench under a tree for shade depending on the hour you eat here.

Seriously I've had better I would have to be definitely starving at downtown disney to come here again. Peace Yelp Heads!

This isn't my first pick of restaurants in the area, but it's a great Mexican food fix when you're hanging out at Downtown Disney and/or Disneyland/California Adventure. Like all restaurants in Downtown Disney, Tortilla Jo's offers a full-fledged restaurant or a fast-food window for chilin' outside and enjoying the great California weather we always seem to have!

The food is great tasting, but the prices aren't all that great in comparison.

Tip:
1) Use your Disneyland annual pass to receive the normal restaurant discount!

This place is awesome! Today was my first time going and I had the steak fajitas. There were pretty tasty. Little chewy but tasty. My gf had the fish tacos. Mmmmm mmmm mmmm. The glaze was a little overbearing but MMMM! The rice was delicious and the chips and salsa!!! OMG I could eat those forever

Our waitress Chloë was sooo helpful. She laughed and joked with us and we showed her what a Tokyo Tea is.

I would definately come back!

OH MY GOD...REALLY????
This "place" has some of the most monotonous food (if we could call it that) EVER!  We should harvest this whole building and move it over to Montana where, there too, the pigment challenged residents can vow that the flavors are extraordinary.
I'm baffled...is it because people are exhausted and starving that they consider this to be "the best food", or have they all recently burned their tongues, or are they drunk??? I don't get it??
Honestly people....stop wasting our time with your awful suggestions!  Soon you'll be telling us that cup noodles is the best Chinese food you've ever eaten...please just STOP!

Hint-hint: Do NOT go into the actual restaurant! They have a side order/pick-up location outside and it's MUCH cheaper and totally worth it!

I went in Feb. 2008 for my bachelorette party with a bunch of my best girl-friends. I knew I was asking for a lot from some girls (most were coming from Washington or the Bay Area), so I wanted to keep my eyes open for cheaper meals. By chance, I noticed Tortilla Jo's outside ordering location and checked their prices. For the life of me, I cannot remember how much it was, but it was definitely below $10. This is a STEAL considering you're in Downtown Disney.

Also, the portion size was huge! We ended up going their twice because the price was great and the food was yummy. The first time, a lot of us got individual items, but could barely finish it! The second time we just paired up and shared items. Two thumbs up for the carnitas nachos!

THIS IS FOR THE WINDOW SERVICE ON THE SIDE OF THE ACTUAL RESTAURANT

The best fast food located in Downtown Disney for sure!!!!

For some reason all the Pantina Group restaurants are not up to par for those of us that LOVE food, but someone had to do an undercover job with this one.

The burritos are HUGE!!!!  Each one us (5) ordered our own, and only one of us (my husband of course) finished the entire burrito!  The chips and salsa that you can order as a side can definitely be shared between a family of four.  Not even my family of five finished them.

It took a while to get our food, about 20 minutes, but way more worth it then having to sit down inside the restaurant and pay for a tip.

We took our food back to our room at the Disneyland Hotel where we basked in the magic of disney all around us, while being filled to the brim with lovely beans! =)

Burritos-
Flour tortilla filled with beans, rice, onions, cilantro, Monterey jack cheese and your choice of:

Side Dishes

I would give this restaurant negative stars if I could.

My family went here this Saturday.  We were seated quickly.  The wait staff was very pleasant.

THE FOOD!  Oh my!

My son ordered the chicken fingers.  They were okay.  Just run of the mill chicken strips.  The fruit (different melons) was very old.  The watermelon was falling apart and mushy!

I ordered the Ceasar salad.  For $15 bucks I got bagged lettuce, boxed croutons, dried out old chicken breast and a dressing that tasted like nothing.  I had to put salt and pepper on it just to give it some flavor!

This is where things get icky.  My husband ordered to nachos.  A few bites in he stopped eating.  I tried them.  THE CHICKEN TASTED ROTTEN.

We never, ever complain.  But, I sent back the nachos and they promptly took it off our bill.  When I went to the restroom, I peeked in the kitchen.  It was a filthy mess!  There was food thrown everywhere.  The trashcan was over flowing onto the floor with old food.  GROSS!

We enjoyed the after math of this restaurant on the toilet the next day.

Don't get the "Mexicone" -- a fried tortilla in the shape of a cone layered with (in order from bottom to top) rice, beans, meat, lettuce, cheese. Sounds great, right? Well, you don't eat the ingredients together since the damn thing is layered. Stick to a taco or burrito.

For the price, this place stinks!  While the service was not slow, I almost wish it were so that my food would have taken longer to spoil my evening.  I ordered the carnitas burrito and it was the most bland meal i've ever eaten... ever.  I thought, "this must be what jail food tastes like?" top it off with a $7 bottle of beer and a total airhead waitress,  the lame dinner could be over soon enough.
