Torchy's Tacos

Very good idea really like the shrimp tacos, perfectly mixed the Mexican style food with a hint of shrimp, the service is great, the workers are kind and treat the customers great. And the ambiance is incredible, beautiful building, and I am comfortable while I'm there.

A friend and I stopped in for tacos and happy hr. I had the sangria with was $2 off, and it was super yummy. Aome sangria can be dry, but this was ia sweet and refreshing.

I love their hillbilly queso, but I didn't get it this visit. This location I really enjoy. It has fresh parking, nice seating options, and a pond. If it wasn't raining, I would have sat on the patio.

I don't dine here too often, so do when I do come, it's because I have a particular craving. I usually have a pretty positive experience, but this time was a little bit rough. I stopped by on a weekend afternoon. The restaurant wasn't too busy at that time. Parking was easy, usually it's pretty crazy in this area but I found a spot as soon as I pulled in. I didn't really encounter any extra friendly staff members, but the person that took my order was nice. Can't say that I won't be back, maybe I just will try another location as I've typically had a good experience with this restaurant.

Democrat (3/5) - I ordered this with no avocado, but they put avocado on there anyway. It also had a hair in it.
Trailer park - trashy (3/5) - it was fine. Nothing spectacular, but it did the job.
Scallywag (4/5) - This taco of the month was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed the flavor of the coconut shrimp. My only note would be is that they put a lot of pickled onions on it. Easy fix though I just took most of them off.
Churros (1/5) - the biggest disappointment. I don't expect food to look just like the photos, but these were like the light skin version of the picture online. They were chewy in the middle, most of them split apart, and most of the cinnamon sugar was at the bottom of the bag. After a couple bites, I them away. I was excited about them, especially since I asked the cashier their thoughts, and they told me that they were really good.

Very noisy and hard to converse due to glass wall. Not a really big deal, but I am hearing impaired and should have expected this. That's why 4 stars and not 5.
I love Torchy''s and will go again!

It's a solid taco, but a little pricey. The queso is great and quite filling. The Baja shrimp is a classic staple, the crossroads is light and cooked well, and the trashy trailer park is a smidge greasy.

A great taco spot, but the price is a bit too much for me now.

Yummy food! Yummy drinks! We love the Torchy's tacos! I wish there was more of a selection for kids but we usually make do! The wait staff is usually pretty fast and bring the right food to our table. We will definitely be back!

What a fun taco joint! Great portions, yummy taco & awesome queso. I love that they have local sodas on tap instead of Coke/Pepsi products...loved the root beer.

Was craving tacos after Dish Society. Don't ask. I just haven't had Torchy's in a while. Don't judge me haha


Ambiance - 4/5 - Located in La Centerra. The area has a large area for kids to play around. This location is close to the large area, but you have to walk a little bit to get there.


Service - 4/5 - Nothing special. Find the tacos you want and order it. Not a fan when I am getting asked for a tip when that should be just normal.

Food - 4/5 - Ordered the following (make sure to know the secret menu):

Naughty Santa - 5/5 - Shrimp with Chorizo. Highly recommend.

Trailer Park - 4/5 - Just a big ole fried chicken taco.

Green Chile Pork Missionary Style - 5/5 - Pork Carnitas on a corn tortilla. Secret Menu item. Recommend.

Matador - 5/5 - Secret menu item. Chopped Brisket taco. Recommend

Ace of Spades - 5/5 - Secret menu item. My go to. Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage, Brisket, Egg and everything else. HIGHLY recommend.


I get Ace of Spades every time. And everytime, it doesn't disappoint. I really enjoy Torchy's and this location was no different. Even better that I was able to enjoy the outdoor weather.

I mean Torchys is going to do it every single time for me honey!! I've been begging to the heavens that a Torchys makes it's way to New Orleans but until then every time I am in a city where there is a location, I will find my way. I am a girl who sticks with something once I like it so I get the same thing every single time. Hillbilly queso with no guacamole and 2 brush fire tacos with EXTRA Diablo sauce. Also got to have the sangria swirl with the tajin rim. 10,10,10's across the boarddddd!
