Review from Kenny J.
This is a great place to stop along 395 for gas and a meal.
I had the chicken fried chicken meal, which was really good and a huge portion. They also have several specials, like unlimited spaghetti for $3.99 and biscuits and gravy for $1.99.
A great find, as usually we have dinner in Gardnerville before we head over Carson Pass. -

Recently stayed here with a group of motorcyclists over a 4 day period. Given it's location, they could get away with almost anything, and it would still be a destination, at least for locals.
The rooms apparently have been recently remodeled. Clean, new paint, and the bathrooms are well kept and don't show much if any age.
The staff is friendly and seem to enjoy working there.
The restaurant offers a very well priced special every day. The chicken fried chicken at $5.95 is very good, and the prime rib for $7.95 was equally good, and a steal. Waitresses were friendly, even when the restaurant was crowded.
If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stop in for a meal, and if I need a room, I'd stay here again. -
Review from Fred A.

My girlfriend and I have been eating at the Lakeview Restaurant of this establishment since June of 2004. We have considered it to be our favorite Restaurant in the area up until our last visit in January of 2007. On our last visit, we ordered our usual turkey dinner with Tortilla soup. The soup tasted as good as normal but a little watered down. The turkey was good but the vegetables, string beans, where very tough, I had a hard time cutting them with my butter knife and they didn't taste good. I had to ask for cranberry sauce that used to come with it . The cranberry sauce must have been setting out for days because it had a film on it. The dinner had smaller portions than normal. We were told they were in the process of changing their menu and that might account for the difference. The restaurant has a great view of Topaz Lake but due to our last experience, we probably won't go back.
