    Gourmet donuts and affordable prices.

They have a wide variety of donuts to choose from, and have friendly knowledgable staff.  The shop is like a cafe and has lots of tables and seating.  (Also provides Free wi-fi)

Top pot is amazing and they need to open one in Los Angeles!

    Donuts for dinner...

Yup, that's what we had! Unfortunately, we were down to slim pickings and managed to order several donuts to include the lemon filled, raspberry bulls-eye and sprinkles. We also ordered a couple of Jasmine teas.

These donuts are HUGE!!!!!!!!!!! I was seriously done after a couple bites. I failed to ask the employees if they were able to nuke it as I love fresh and soft donuts.

Surprisingly the lemon filled stole the visit. Although I rarely enjoy tart flavors, the lemon was my fave of our donuts selection.

The tea on the other hand was disappointing. It was SOOO bitter strong! I barely had 3 sips and had to throw it out. I should have just stuck with the regular green tea.

When I want to indulge in a high-calorie treat, it better be worth it.  This is definitely the case for Top Pot.  I only give it 4 stars because I've had better doughnuts in the Midwest and there doesn't seem to be many doughnut places out here in SF or Seattle.  So they get a high rating by default.

My favorites:  blueberry glazed and Bavarian cream.

I love the book-lined walls.  It's a nice, cozy place that's perfect for a mid-day treat after walking around Seattle.  It's my favorite spot to hit each time I visit!

Gave Top Pot another try after a lack luster first appearance. Can't say things turned out any better. In my opinion they make just average to below average Doughnuts. Stale, flavorless and expensive is a bad combination.

I do respect Top Pot for the Brand that they've created, to be able to create so much hype over  such a poor product is amazing.

Top pot as melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts of all kinds and they are all super delicious. It's a great stop to sit back and relax for a few. Wonderful and cozy atmosphere along with wonderful smells wofting from the kitchen.

The prices are fair. Certainly will be back!

One big bummer about Top Pot Doughnuts in Belltown is waiting for your coffee drink to be made.  While I LOVE the Doughnuts, it is ridiculous to wait on a weekend for 15 - 20 minutes for a simple latte.  We go to this location every Sunday and it's always the same, our doughnuts are eaten and then we get our coffee in a to go cup to drink as we walk home.  It might be a good idea to either get an extra espresso machine or another employee to run the coffee station - OR both!  The doughnuts though are awesome.

I bought into the hype and tried this place since it's within walking distance from work. I figured after eating some doughnuts, I would need to work it off so the walk was well worth it.
Upon entering, I had to ask the chick behind the counter if she could help me. I asked if they had the maple bars since I've heard they're supposedly amazing. Well I was out of luck, and the chick was super rude about it. OK, so they were also out of cruellers, which she said they haven't had in years. OK well then take it off of your website. Anyway I got a half dozen assortment of a little bit of everything. Minus maple bars, regular 'fluffy' doughnuts, or cruellers... Anyway I died when they chick said, OK that will be $12.99. Um, excuse me? a bit over $2 a doughnut?! Well I convinced myself that these are allegedly the best doughnuts in Seattle, so it was worth the price right?
NO. The doughnuts were a bit dry and were just OK. Seriously the doughnuts you buy at Fred Meyer are better. Definitely not worth it for mediocre doughnuts that cost over $2 each. Even VooDoo doughnuts are a thousand times better. I can't justify spending that much money on a crappy doughnut with crappy service. :/

First three bites are so POWERFUL!! I only ate half of the Pumpkin Old Fashioned Glazed donut because it already blast me high on the sugar peak.

Would have been more addicting if it did not put as much sugar in every bite.

The cashier was giving me an attitude because I was asking a question if he had any other pumpkin options I mean seriously, it is only 3p CLAM down. I asked nicely, jeez.

And this is coming from a woman who went to the grand opening of Voodoo Doughnuts, back in the day. Holy geez this was an epic doughnut feast. That raspberry doughnut will live forever in my memory as the most delicious of all.

I wasn't even that excited to attend, except for my friend who loves doughnuts was raving about it and drug me there. The atmosphere was fun but the place was packed and we couldn't find a table to sit inside. After trying their noms, I'm not sure why there isn't constantly a line out the door.

People of Seattle, I am disappoint. Y U No heaping tons of love on Top Pot Doughnuts? For shame.

I left Seattle today, but I couldn't leave without saying goodbye.  I bought a dozen of the delectable treats to bring back to San Francisco,  I can't possibly eat all 12 myself (or can I?), but I don't want to share them!

Aside from developing a doughnut hoarding habit, Top Pot has made me really appreciate fine quality doughnuts.  The raspberry old fashion literally had me singing in Sea-Tac.

The atmosphere is cozy; a great place to get some work done out of the house.  The staff was great and individually wrapped each doughnut for it's long trip back home with me.

I miss you already, Top Pot tasties.  Until we meet again...

Top Pot Doughnuts has a commercial. It was cool enough to make me want funky flavored doughnuts for breakfast. So I went to my neighborhood location. It has to be most studious looking coffee shop in all of Seattle. Pleasant ambiance.

Today, the grooviest doughnut flavors on their menu were glazed pumpkin spice and raspberry bismarck. I decided to get them. They were overtly sweet and cake-like in density. Maybe most people enjoy that, however, the experience was just pure torture on my taste-buds. Even when plunged in soy drip (coffee with soy milk). But I survived.

With dinner at the Herbfarm still fresh in our memories the last day of the first leg of our trip to Seattle and Vancouver would start with coffee and donuts, but certainly not Dunkin or Tim's - this would be our day to visit Top Pot in order to experience their "hand forged" doughnuts and while I still don't know precisely what "hand forged" means in regard to a doughnut I do know that for a group of four we did a great job in sampling their wares and that although the space was busy the servers couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant as they offered suggestions and plated each option individually before putting together our drink orders and even helping us carry everything to the table.
Beginning first with the beverage choices, three of us opted for the Top Pot Diplomat blend - a nutty French Roast that generally would not have been my first choice but when paired with the sweet breakfast pastries proved a perfect balance with nutty undertones and plenty of body to stand up to the pastries.  For my aunt, not a coffee fan, she opted for the house made hot chocolate - a milky blend somewhere between a sipping chocolate and standard hot cocoa that certainly did not have the tempering effect that coffee did on the donuts but tasted nice and had a silky mouthfeel just the same.

Moving on to the donuts, all told eight selections were made and dividing each into fourths afforded us each to sample eight flavors for the price and capacity of two whole donuts - by far and away my favorite part of pastry-based breakfasts with a group.  Sampling far and wide both in terms of flavor and style based on our own preferences and the suggestions of the staff our choices included a frosted Old Fashioned, Peppermint Chocolate Cake, Blueberry Cinnamon Cake, Apple Fritter, Raspberry Ring, Maple Bar, Chocolate Coconut Boa, and finally a cinnamon laden iced Pershing - each very impressive, especially considering the variations in size, density, and texture with the old fashioned moist and dense on the interior and crunchy on the exterior while the puffy cake donuts were somewhere between Dunkin and Krispy Kreme - light and wispy, but not quite "melt in the mouth."

Taking into account the prices, certainly not cheap but also not vastly overpriced like New York's fabled Donut Plant my personal favorites of the set were the airy Maple Bar - intense and vastly more satisfying and sticky sweet than Tim Horton's classic, the densely apple studded fritter with pockets of spicy cinnamon juxtaposing the sweet buttery apple inside the raised dough, and finally the Blueberry speckled and Cinnamon sugar dusted cake doughnut that my sister almost refused to share as it was delivered still warm.  Overall a great collection and although not quite as mesmerizing or ethereal as those at Chicago's Donut Vault, less expensive and vastly less hassle with a much larger collection and a place to sit down and enjoy.

This was my last stop before I headed to SeaTac. Boy was I glad I made time for this place. These are probably one of the most richest and biggest donuts I've ever tasted. I just had to bring a half dozen home. They were demolished within a day of course. I regret not being able to try all the flavors all the reviews recommended. Wish this chain came to California. I don't know if crack is the secret ingredient in this, but I'm a fan!

Top Pot is amazing. I'm addicted and I usually don't even like donuts. There's a nice deep-fried crisp underneath the delicious glaze. Great variety, cheap, and even a very nice space- how do they do it? The colorful and bountiful display of donuts in the glass will blow you away. No need to list faves- all are good.

    WOW! WOW! WOW!

Talk about the smell wrapping you and carrying you into this place (imagine cartoons).  Our hotel was 1/2 block... meaning every time we left our hotel the sent was amazing.  Not mention the receptionist at the hotel said we had to go.

The next day for breakfast we headed to the doughnut  shop. With a quick 3 minute wait and plenty of seats we were excited to try these yummy and guiltless donuts.  My friend and I ordered doughnuts.  I am a chocolate fan so a basic plain doughnut was good for me.  Yummy... bite number 1 and I nearly melted away.   Know I understand why Obama has visited this location and why the guy from Diners, Drive Inn's and Dives has also filmed one of this shows there.

There are my second favorite!  There is also a variety of flavors/types.  Defiantly something for everyone!

In general I'm not a big fan of donuts. Perhaps its because I've had my share of donuts during my childhood when my dad owned a donut store. Haha. Every now and then I like to have one so I had to try this place out after reading all the reviews.

I asked one of the girls working there what she recommended. She said the pumpkin glazed and the blueberry glazed were good choices so I ended up getting those with a cup of coffee. The donuts were average and nothing out of the ordinary. A bit dense in my opinion. The coffee was great. I loved how the place was decorated. Lots of windows and book shelves on the walls.

I had a craving for donuts today (well for the last couple days), good donuts, not the ones you find at the normal grocery store.

I couldn't shake it, so I popped into top pot on my way home and grabbed an old fashioned glazed, a seasonal  pumpkin old fashioned, and a raspberry filled donut.

A few bites of each later (yeah I'm one of thsoe ppl) and my craving is definitely satisfied, my tummy is happy, I'm enjoying the sugar (although the donuts here aren't sickening sweet) rush, and my bf is happy that he gets to eat the remaining (majority) parts of the donuts.

Win-win for both of us :-)

    I LOVE TOP POT DOUGHNUTS!

"If this place is good enough for Obama, it's definitely good enough for us!" Yes, I really did say that.

Top Pot Doughnuts really needs to expand down to California because we could really use some good doughnut shops around here in the Bay Area. I mean, we have Bob's, but I'd like to have my other options too where I can sit around in a nice quiet place surrounded by books to enjoy my latte and maple bar.

Yes, I got the maple bar. For 99cents, this maple bar lasted me the entire day. Top Pot doughnuts are definitely about 2x the size of your normal doughnut and it was just so delicious. The dough is nicely made - they don't skimp and you know it because when you bite into it, there aren't any huge air bubbles, just a lot of fluffy dough. YUMMMMMMM.

I wish I had time to just sit down there on the top floor and read a book that I could grab from the shelves.

Top Pot! Please come to the Bay Area! I need my fixins!

A small latte and the maple doughnut made a delicious combination.  Doughnuts are hand forged, unbelievably moist, and so pretty to look at.  The cozy, loft-like interior is part of the charm, so order to stay and grab a cool book off one of the floor to ceiling shelves.

This is the 2nd thing I've had that was hyped and talked about on Food Network that was extremely disappointing.  I'm starting to think that people on Food Network have no taste...

I bought 4 donuts (2 glazed, 1 apple fritter, and 1 chocolate frosted) and a mocha for $17.  Wow, talk about pricey.  Why are people taking about this place as being the best donuts they've ever had?  Why would you wait 15-25 minutes in line for this?  You can get donuts at 7-11 fresh in the morning for a lot less money and it tastes the same.  If you don't believe me, compare them.  7-11's donuts even taste better than these.  All I'm saying is, fresh donuts from a grocery store taste exactly like these.  I've had a tastier and softer apple fritter at Fred Meyer that cost me only $1.  And the mocha was the worst I've ever had.  Bland.

I really feel like I wasted my time and money going here.

Overall, I'm mixed.  Having had donuts on both coasts and the midwest, there are pluses and not-pluses.

For reference, I got here at opening time on a Sunday.  Grabbed a dozen to sample.

The yeast donuts were a little bread-like and leaning on the dry side, though the maple glaze was fantastic.  Chocolate glazes tended to be a bit on the heavier side.

The crust of the cake donut had a one-of-a-kind texture- a soft/firm crust with a very dense, soft inside.  The glazes were well-made- smooth and not overpowering.  The custard inside the boston creme/bavarian was smooth and had enough differentiation so that it didn't taste like something from Dunkin'.  The blueberry was subtle, but the dominant flavor.  The chocolate cake was very good.  No overwhelming cocoa flavor, just same crust as previously stated.

As good as the apple fritter was, I was disappointed that it was made from fresh dough.  I love the dense, oily texture of a fritter.

Overall, a good donut.  Not the best I've had, but a good donut.

My love for seasonal donuts brought me to Top Pot. How could i resist a PUMPKIN glazed donut? Great glazed crust and slight warm pumpkin flavor. Yum. Had to buy a couple more of them and an additional blueberry glazed donut for the road.

There was a continuous line that always seemed to form but it never went out the door.  Unfortunately the donuts are displayed below the cash register making it almost impossible to see what they offer and you feel the pressure of having to order quickly once you make it up there!

Argh...mad at myself for waiting in line for so-so doughnuts. Yelp you rarely ever do me wrong, but total fail here.

All doughnut shops should be judged based on how well they do the classics, in particular a traditional glazed ring, and the version at Top Pot I thought was just "alright", not better than the average chain doughnut shop on every street corner. Honestly it was just too dry for my liking and the one disappointing thing I had in my 1st trip to Seattle.

If you're ever in the San Francisco area, stop by Dynamo Donuts, and get the maple, apple, bacon donut...now that's a good doughnut....trust me, you'll thank me later.

Let's get down to it: can they please open up a top pot in southern california?!!??!! Please?

They have a ton of donut choices and it was extremely difficult to narrow it down to two. And the lucky winners were: old fashion glazed pumpkin and bavarian cream.

old fashion pump glazed: Wow, heaven. It was so delicious. I could eat one right now. K man tried plain. Why on earth would you get plain when there's the glazed brother version? Crazy.

bavarian cream: The height of this beast was at least 2 inches. That's right, 2 inches of donut puffy goodness and then a burst of bavarian cream in the middle. Again....heaven. Oh and there was chocolate on top. Can't get any better than this....

Their coffee was great too! Loved the atmosphere too. Very quaint. It definitely gives Starbucks a run for its money!

By far the best doughnuts I've ever had.  Surprisingly my favorite doughtnut we had was the glazed old fashioned.  Simple and amazing!  Other contenders included the apple fritters, chocolate glazed and bavarian cream filled.
