Not a bad spot to go to in Kaimuki. There is pool & darts.
Drink specials are ok depending on the night. Went on an average thursday night. Bartenders are cool. Good vibe considering I haven't been there since college. -

Located next to Kim Chee II, Big City Diner, and Verbano in Kaimuki, this is a cool place to go if you're into pool, darts, and classic rock. There's hardly any women in here. Take that information to use as you will... The megatouch games are the newest I've seen so far. Try the new "Hard Candy" game. I can't beat it, and it's driving me crazy! There's usually only the bartender working, but she can keep things going pretty quickly, so it's not so bad.
If you order a Corona, know that they serve it with no lime, or a tiny sliver of lime. Giant Buds are $5, regular Heine's $4. They don't have anything on tap. I overheard the bartender say that another name for the drink (shot?), "Buttery Nipple" is "Slippery Dick". Hm...learn something new everyday!

I have to demote this place from 4 to 3 stars because I went there last week and nearly blew my eardrums out. It was literally painful to listen to the karaoke. It wasn't the singers, but rather the accompaniment. I'm going to avoid this place if there's karaoke going on. -

Expect what it is and you won't be disappointed. It's not the classiest of places, but there's a great jukebox, pool, tvs, darts, video games and THE BEST poke I have had! The staff is usually friendly and the people treat you as you treat them. Always a great mix of people. It ranges from busy to slow so without expectations, you won't be disappointed. Prices are excellent! Bathroom is always clean. If you are the kind of person who wants a chic lounge, don't come. The red plastic seats, mix matched furniture and all signs and smells of a real person's bar are the charm. Cheers!!!!!

Honolulu, HI
Good place to kick back and have a good time without trying to be "so cool" or being around "so cool" crowds that act like they're better than the norm. Me personally, I enjoy the reaction when I take charge of the jukebox and put on Funkadelic Parliment x Chemical Brothers x Bunch of Gangsta Rap x and of course DJ Shadow .... The reaction on the normal moke's face is priceless ... LOL

pool tables and 22oz bottles of bud light? whoo hoo
i like this place because there's always a pool table open and since i'm terrible, it's nice to not have to play in front of poolsharks trying to take the table back.
the crowd can vary a bit here, sometimes there's a lot of old dudes, sometimes its saturatedd with college kids. either way, i like top of the hill. it's usually super laid back and my friends live close enough for us to wander home hammered. -

top of the hill is a pretty chill place. upon first entry, you'll probably notice the moldy smell, but if you can get past that, you'll have fun.
there are 3 pool tables and a jukebox that plays everything from bachman turner overdrive and bjork to zz top and black uhuru.
drinks are reasonably priced, and you can sit at either the bar or a "half" a booth (the other side is chairs).
the korean lady who owns it (i think) is super sweet, the last few times we came here she made us up styrofoam bowls of kim chee, kalua pig and rice, korean pancake, and noodles, all free, and all SUPER GOOD. she cooks them up right there behind the bar. she is a sweetheart, and has the coolest glasses, you should check them out. -

I was torn between three and four stars. We checked this place out tonight after class because technically it was the start of our spring break. It was late and no one felt like going to Waikiki, so what the hay- someone said "top of the hill", the rest of us said ok. Now, I admit we pick odd nights to go out for drinks, which is probably why we catch places during their down time. I have heard from other people that this place can get crowded. When we were there, it was just shy of dead. But, that was cool cause we got to sit where ever, didn't have to talk over anyone and just relax. I don't really know how expensive they are, because my friend bought my drinks, so I'll have to get back to you all on that. Anyhow, we had fun. A chill place to have a drink.
