At first glance you may not think to go here for breakfast.  This place is nothing fancy and it is TINY.  Mostly counter seating on either side of the grill and (2) 2 top tables on one side of the restaurant.  The counter is definitely the place to sit.  I like being able to see the line cooks make my food.  I had the eggs, hashbrowns, beans and tortillas.  My husband had the eggs, hashbrowns and french toast.  Everything was delicious.  The only reason I have this place a 4 is because my eggs were a bit well done for my taste.  Food was good, simple and inexpensive.

This place is only open for breakfast on the weekends and breakfast and lunch during the week.
The hours are:
7AM to 4PM Mon - Friday
7AM to 10 AM on the weekends

The breakfast here is tasteful and fresh here.  They cook the food right in front of you if you dine in which is always nice so you can see what is going on with your food.  Tasty food prepared just the way you want it, if the cook is cooking it too long for you just tell him ad he will take it off the griddle.

The prices here are the BEST in Long Beach for the quality of food you get.  I always order mine over the phone and go pick it up and they always get it right and the food is very tasty.  I give them a 5 star for taste, quality, location and SERVICE.  Fast and friendly!

I was searching for a good breakfast place and well I thought why not search Yelp and Tony's Place was one of the top rated in Long Beach so I thought i'd give it try. I was able to find plenty of parking probably because it was a weekday, As soon as I entered Tony's wow! Yelpers were right it was freakin' tiny however, I was greeted kindly and had a seat at the counter, I ordered the breakfast special eggs, hasbrowns, bacon, toast and a side of French Toast, I was starving. The food was super fast and it was nice watching the cook make my food (that's a plus!) This place is family owned, a huge plus! anywho, the bacon was overdone, personally I like mine chewy but that's ok I won't hold it against Tony's the hashbrowns were a little under cooked and needed tons of salt however, The eggs were perfectly done and my french toast was very yummy. The side of french toast was huge! it was 2 something and I didn't expect all this french toast! (huge plus on that)
anyways, I was reading the reviews on this place and noticed it said they took credit cards FYI.......CASH ONLY!! I found out the hard way, I should have been smarter and carried some cash! errrr.......Overall the service is and A+ and the prices are so darn good for what you get! however, I feel like I've had better and maybe i'm basis but I love my breakfast more I guess it's hard to form an opinion about another place when you keep comparing to your own cooking is that fair??? I dunno go find out for yourselves and support the family business!

How to describe Tony's Place? If it had wheels, it would be a catering truck with a horn that sounded La Cucharacha as it pulled into an industrial complex. I say that with the utmost respect and appreciation.

Small doesn't begin to describe this place with only 2 small tables and maybe a dozen seats at opposing bars, all of which are within 3 feet of the guys cooking the food. The beauty of being that close to the guys cooking the food is that you know exactly what you're getting, and at Tony's it's pretty straight forward. FRESH!

Two cooks straddle between a very tight grill and a prep area but work together in perfect harmony, complimenting the other guy's moves perfectly. Everything gets prepared on the spot; none of this semi-cooked and then reheated crap. They had a huge pot of Menudo simmering, the chorizo was top notch and the corned beef looked home made.

Tony's is the epitome of greasy spoon with their liberal use of butter and oil in just about everything, but you don't come out of their smelling like the food you just ate. If you don't mind the truck stop environment and a little extra calories with your quick and cheap breakfast, Tony's is your place too.

Next time, the pastrami burger.

I feel a little reluctant about yelping this place because there has got to be maybe six chairs on the entire premises... but whatever, Tony's Place is awesome. If you find yourself awake on a Saturday morning with an empty stomach and a recollection of the events of the night before that are shaky at best, Tony's Place is the spot for you.

Other breakfast spots are nice but there's always comfort in the fact that when I go here there won't be eighteen people I know seeing me in my stretch pants and with the Barney I went home with last night. "That's weird - I don't remember him having an INCUBUS shirt on last night...?" I also take comfort in knowing that I won't end up spending $20 on breakfast that has a good chance of coming right back up again.

With what they lack in amenities (say, bathrooms) and a general grasp of the English language, they make up for in good, fast service and great food for considerably cheap. What more could you possibly ask for?

One of our 2 favorite breakfast places in long beach.  It's no frills, it's small, and lacks ambiance, but hey, it's fantastic quick order breakfast food at a great price.  I usually get standard breakfast fare while my man is addicted to their chorizo burritos.  The family that runs this place are some of the friendliest faces you could share breakfast with.  One of the things we find most pleasant about this place is that we can watch them cook our food in our mid-morning brain fog.  Despite it's size and dodgy appearance, this place should be a staple of any long beach foody.

Cheap and greasy breakfast= ideal hangover food. We each got a breakfast burrito (mine veggie, his sausage.) Mine was a little gooey, Im not sure what the issue was, and the sour cream was disgusting; simply a runny mess. I can't be eatin no breakfast without my sour cream! His was much better, but a tad too overwhelming on the arteries to be comfortably eaten whole; he stopped halfway through. (thats what...aww screw it.)  The inside is about the size of my living room, and photos off all the menu items adorn the walls. I like how the kitchen is the center of the room, with the counters on both sides so you can watch everything that goes down. Watching them cook it up really makes you hungee; damn its so unhealthy how can you not drool. Its always packed from what I gather, and this day was no different. I would prefer to only take-out from here as it is; its too cramped, smoky and stressful for a comfortable dining environment. Im super picky about where I dine in. Anyways, its worth a shot, but Im not sure if I will be back anytime soon. I can think of many better breakfasts, in particular the ones we make on the weekends...

So, it's not the classiest place in the world, but it's a classic breakfast joint. Counter service, family owned, tiny as tiny can be, and pefectly greasy.
I use to call in my order for the chorizo and bacon breakfast burrito, but the people in there are so nice, I like to sit in there and wait. Plus I get to watch my food be cooked and it's a nice feeling to know there is no spit in my food.
They are very kid friendly. Great pancakes and with butter and syrup rubbed all over... YUM! When my friend Tova was moving, I brought some burritos over for us to eat while we were moving and my friend Jeff said that he may need to leave his favorite Nick's burrito for a while and have an affair with Tony's. It's good stuff.

Everyone loves a good BB. Right?

One of the best short order breakfast spots I've ever been to.  You step inside and automatically you're at the bar.  No room for comfort you squeeze right in and get your order in while the grill is hot!  Great counter service and the food is just so good it makes you want to call in sick and head to bed to take a fat lazy nap!

I love the food there and its just so damn close to home that I just cannot afford to pass that pace up!  Great folks and great prices.  You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't make the time to get your fillins at Tony's Place!
