Ok...I'm going to keep this review of Tonic short and simple:
You'll probably like this place if you are in undergrad. Why? It gets pretty packed in here, it plays the top 40 hits, and there's always a bunch of mustard colored Mizzou tshirts everywhere to reinforce your school pride. You're bound to see someone from your class in here.
You probably won't like this place if you are in graduate school. Why? Because of all of the above. However, after a few or couple of drinks, stumbling in here with a bunch of your friends to relive your youth could be fun.

This is definitely a dance bar. There's a big open dance floor and lights on the lower floor and loud base driven music. I hate paying cover, but whatever.
This is more the place to end the night at rather the begin here. Go have a few drinks somewhere else (Quinton's?) and then come and dance.
I like how Tonic was a bar and amusement park for the listing.
Tonic was a good spot. It gets very crowded, which I was never a fan of. I hate trying to walk with a fresh drink and getting bumped around. It was a place that we would hit on our evenings out though. You can find all the stars of the court and field here.
Good drink specials. We would spend a while here and then go to Quinton's.
I've been twice, a year apart, and the first night was one of the better in Columbia and the second was fun because I drank enough for it to be.
I don't know if they're on their way down, but the last time I went, the place was pretty dead. To top it off too many guys and girls were wearing Mizzou shirts. I don't care if it's a game night, you go home (shower) and change!
If you consume enough alcohol almost any place can be fun. Tonic is no exception to this rule.

I love Tonic. It plays some of the best music as far as clubs in Columia. It's always packed which is a god sign. Plus their drink specials aren't bad either.
