The sugar cookies are off-the-chart excellent....and I do not like sugar cookies!
Tonis is very much in lock step with whatever seasonal theme is happening, so this place is a easy go to spot to pick up some impressive-looking and very tasty baked goods on your way to someone's house, etc. -

The food is good, but very over-priced for what it is. I was torn between three and four stars, but three felt a little too harsh. It's not phenomenal, but better than your average bakery, for sure!
I've had the strawberry shortcake, which I loved, and then some cookies and the quiche, which were pretty good. -

Was so impressed by Toni's that I wanted to get my birthday cake here so I got a small (6'') white chocolate mousse ($37.75), which is their flagship cake and already have a few made in the case for purchase. I made the mistake of being there hungry and got a cream cheese bar, some chocolate brownie, and 4 cookies ($1.90 each chocolate, chip, double chocolate, oatmeal).
Service was more formal and professional than your typical bakery. The cake was phenomenal! Texture was light, delicate, wasn't heavy or overly sweet, and tasted top notch! I normally watch what I spend (especially dining out), but here its worth splurging!
I noticed when I got home that there wasn't any raspberry sauce, just a few raspberries and a strawberry on top and have came to the conclusion that they probably include the sauce only upon request, so make sure you ask for it when there.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Toni has designed many cakes for my husband and I for several years now and I am delighted and surprised each and every time. Toni takes pride in her work and each cake comes out looking and tasting perfect!!
Her store is a small, charming bakery. You must try the mini angel food cake with chocolate drizzle and berries on top. It's amazing!
Toni designed our engagement cake and bridal shower cake. She also fulfilled my unusual request for pillow-shaped tiered wedding cake. She surpassed our expectations and really blew us away! You must try her for one of your occasions and you will NOT be disappointed! To see the pillow shaped wedding cake please visit her blog! She has a photo up! -

I love Toni Sweets!
I came in to Toni Sweets with a cartoon drawing (yes, I used colored pencils and everything) of a wedding cake I designed and so badly desired for them to create. I was somewhat doubtful it could be pulled off as the artwork on the cake was extremely intricate and complicated (I was aiming for an Alice in Wonderland theme in red, black, and white). Toni and her team felt extremely confident it could be done...... so I was left crossing my fingers for several months.
Fast forward to the wedding day, and VOILA! The cake was absolutely precious and EXACTLY how I envisioned it to be! Not only that, but the actual cake itself was scrumptious (Devil's Chocolate Food Cake with a Fudge filling). We were getting compliments all night on how it was the best wedding cake some of them have ever had!
Oh, how I continuously dream of another cake from Toni Sweets...... -

toni 'n marie's is my go-to for baked goods when i'm in the SW suburbs. she does a mean hazlenut filling. their cakes are never dry and their frostings light and airy.
if you're ordering for a holiday, plan to wait in line for a while...but at least they have coffee while you wait! -

Stopped in here while taking the boys on a walk through Hinsdale last week. Now I am very familiar with this place, seeing as they did my wedding cake! Duh! But I always like to stop back in to see what's new and good. I got a chocolate/chocolate and a vanilla/vanilla cupcake, a few shortbread cookies, a chocolate chip (for the boys to share) and a spinach and feta croissant, warmed up, for me. The baked goods were all on point, the cakes were moist and a little dense, which is what I love, but that croissant, wowwwww! I think it is the best thing I have eaten in a VERY long time! I thought the one I had at Alliance was perfection, but sadly, I was wrong. This.croissant.was.perfect. I was buttery, flaky, spinach-y, feta-y...just amazing! I will be back...again... =]

Is there a way to give more than 5 stars?! I'm usually pretty particular about my baked goods, and Toni's never fails to hit a home run. We've gone to them for 2 wedding cakes in our family so far & we've gotten loads of compliments about them, even after the party was over. The cake is very moist & Toni really works with you to make your cake design come to fruition. I can't say enough good things about this place. I will, however, agree with another poster who commented that one of the cashiers isn't the friendliest, but don't let that deter you from experiencing heaven on a plate.

Toni Marie's bakery (now Toni) made our wedding cake, the white chocolate mousse genoise cake. It was absolutely phenomenal! For our wedding we didn't even get any leftovers... we ordered extra, but our guests ate extra because it was so good. I've been to plenty of weddings where they had so much leftover cake that nobody even wanted because it so blah. Not Toni's cakes!
We've been back every year for our anniversary and get the white chocolate mousse cake. It's so light fluffy, just sweet enough (not that sickenly sweet stuff from the grocery store bakeries). We love it without the raspberry sauce, but the sauce is worth it if you choose to buy it (they do charge extra). We've had their cookies, cupcakes, and chocolate mousse cake. We were never disappointed in any of it.
It's still worth the 45 minute drive to get there.
We've always had good experiences with the staff. The only thing I would say is that they are so busy that we have to wait a few minutes usually to get our order taken. I don't mind waiting for bakery goods this excellent though! -

This is a fab bakery/cafe. They make their own cakes and pastries and they are just excellent. They also do Intellegentsia coffee. I'm more of a tea drinker (and they do a fine cup of tea). During the week they have these little old ladies who work there. They are totally sweet and get to know your name if you come often (which I do).
I love this bakery, it's a bit expensive, but worth every penny!
I've ordered my son's 1st birthday cake here. They are really very willing to accomodate any special requests. If you are in Hinsdale you must stop in. -

Toni Marie's utilizes such great craftsmanship in terms of the appearance of the cake and the taste of their cakes is AMAZING.
My husband and I chose to take advantage of Toni Marie's services for our wedding! They created such a gorgeous cake. Our cake was a vanilla sponge with white chocolate mousse and vanilla buttercream.
The secret is.. the white chocolate is imported from Belgium!
My family and friends always ask, what was in the cake! All of our guests enjoyed and loved the delicious cake. All thanks to Toni Marie's.
Toni made gum-paste monarch butterfly replicas at our request for the cake topper. We were surprised how precise and exact the butterflies came out. My husband was ecstactic because one of the butterflies was a male and he could tell because male monarchs have two distinct black dots on their wings. Since they are made from gum-paste, we are able to keep the monarchs as a memento of the cake from our wedding.
We enjoyed working with Toni Marie and Jeannie Kelly, a manager there. A great wedding cake vendor. :)Listed in: Wedding Vendors

My first time ordering... and There was a mess up at toni's. I want to start with that. I ordered a cake from them, their white chocolate mousse cake which tastes great with raspberry sauce! I had my boyfriend drive out from streamwood to hinsdale (about 45mins in traffic) to pick it up. When he arrived home I was ready with a fork and plate to eat it! ALAS no raspberry sauce. I asked him why and he completely forgot to check for it. A VERY cake deprived self decided to call up toni's to ask why the sauce had not been included and to my dismay it was extra. I was ready to hang up when Melissa let me know that they would be open tomorrow but I wasn't sure if we could make it out and told her how sad i was as the cake is only cake without the sauce! To which she replied, OH I KNOW! and I could tell she felt bad for me and she let me know that the sauce is always offered with the cake. I had not been offered and was pretty sure if they had offered it to my boyfriend he would have bought it. So she took my name down and let me know her manager would call me tomorrow. All the while she was super nice, super understanding and really showed me that she wanted the customer (me) to be really happy. MIND YOU, I felt like this was partly our fault for not asking about the sauce. I didn't even care anymore because she was so nice and my boyfriend had volunteered to drive out there again to get this famed sauce.
The next day, the manager, Jeannie called. She offered an apology and I said it was totally fine and my bf would pick up some sauce. AND just as nice as Melissa had been she was!!!! and at this point nothing mattered to me as this was great customer service. (but she did give me the sauce for free)
I had the cake before buying it and knew how good it was and the family I shared it with absolutely loved it. BUT the best part of it all was knowing that it came from a place with such great customer service.
People get away with being unwilling to give that to their customers. But Jeannie and Melissa THANK YOU! You can tell a great establishment by how they handle even the smallest mishaps. That clearly some places would not have given two sh*ts if I forgot to ask for something... I'll definitely be back and tell all my friends about how delicious your cake is and how awesome the service is. -

I also had a personalized birthday cake done up, vanilla with buttercream frosting. Hmmm...I heart cake. :) I have yet to try their carrot cake with cream cheese frosting...oooooo yeaaaa.

I went to Toni for the first time and was blown away. We were just going to get some cakes and tartes for a party, but ended up staying for a sandwich as well. Everything was so delicious! And my guests loved the sweets and cakes-so moist and not too sweet. I am really looking forward to try them again soon. Really nice service too.

Toni and Marie's is amazing! If you are in the Hinsdale area you must stop in here and check it out. The cakes are Gorgeous and they make you want to throw a party where you need a cake! The pastries/cakes/cookies are so decorative and I recently got my friend who got married a wedding cake cookie with their wedding date on the cookie, and some really cute bride/groom cookies. They loved them! I can't wait for the next party so I can get a cake from here!

They make a mean lemon bar here! The cookies could kick your butt, too! Hinsdale pricing for some delicious goodies. A great stop when you need to treat yourself after the traumatizing experience of finding a parking spot in-town that you cut off a Mercedes for!

If someone held a gun to my head and said that I can only choose one thing to eat for the rest of my life, I would choose to have Toni Maries dark chocolate raspberry ganache torte and enjoy ever lasting second of it. I grew up with this cake, and it's even better frozen... as I learned as a child eating it long after the initial celebration.
This place is the bomb. I swear that anything Toni Marie touches turns into a decadent, rich, pastry... I mean this is not for the faint of heart! We are talking layers upon layers of dark chocolate, mousse, ganache and raspberry jam... and the densest bittersweet chocolate cake.
I can't wait to get married just to see if they would ship a wedding cake halfway across the country. -

Bakery is cute and very special to me because these were my grandparents names. I have gotten their macaroons only to be a little disappointed. A couple times I called to see if they were fresh that day (they don't make them regularly) and she said yes, I went in an hour later and they had none and she said they didn't make them that day....strange. I did finally get my hands on some but they are nothing compared to Laduree.....
