Wow..how things have changed at Tom's Deli! Hubby and I had dinner here tonight as one of the specials was walleye and he loves that. There is a larger, friendlier staff here as well as more energy than the times we have visited in the past. A small bar has been added in one corner with a few beers on tap; the craft beer selection is still great. Food was very good and the place was jumping by 6 PM. The change to nicer dinner specials on the weekend has worked for them; glad to see a local pace doing well. The parking is still awful and won't change, but get there before 6 and you should be fine.

Good, basic grill style food, plus pizza, wings, and the usual subs and fried stuff. Also a great selection of hard to find microbrews... And though we haven't tried it yet, a low priced, substantial breakfast as well. What's new is that they're slowly trying to add more tasty "gourmet" style dinner offerings on Friday and Saturday nights... So far, we've tried the WONDERFUL tilapia, salmon cakes, NY strip, and a crawfish stew (really) to DIE for!! I hope their experiment works... There's no place else in this area that even comes close to this warm, friendly, and forward- looking eatery.
