Tomato's was absolutely TERRIBLE! I went here with my husband on a special date, and was appalled at what we found here. The food was overly salty and not worth the price. The service was also horrible. The waitress took a very long time and forgot part of our order. The food we did get took a long time coming out. The only plus was that the bartender was very helpful in fixing the waitress's mistake, even though that was not his job. Also, our table was not clean and kept. Never going back, and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

If I could give Tomato's zero stars, I would. The food was inedible, and don't bother trying to be healthy or order a salad here. Ironically, the tomato's on the salad were blatantly not fresh at all - I was expecting a little more from a place called "Tomato's" I highly recommend going somewhere else. Anywhere else.

We are the first of the family to arrive in Twin Falls. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Kevin's mom will be arriving tomorrow and Kevin's dad has been here dealing with everything all week by himself. We all know that the daughter LOVES Italian food, so after debating a bit, we ended up trying this place.
This is not fancy food. It is decent, but not great. Lots of pizza options and pasta options but nothing terribly unique. The man and his dad opted for different kinds of pizza. The pizza itself is ok though I think it could have been cooked a bit more. The daughter had penne with pesto and shrimp. I had mannicotti and a salad. The daughter's dish was good. The pesto was plentiful but the shrimp were scarce. My dish was mediocre at best-luke warm in the middle and our waitress waited until everyone was done before checking back.
Since I am gathering that dining options are few and far between here (I did see plenty of fast food and some chain places), I am glad we tried this place, but I wouldn't volunteer to come back. -

I don't like this place at all. If you like pasta with 3 inches of melted cheese on top, then this is for you.

I ate here for lunch today and as usual it was good comforting Italian food. I've eaten here many times and the food is consistently good. My favorite is the Baked Mostaccioli, but once in awhile I order the Baked Gorgonzola. The food is alway served hot and they will adjust the spiciness to suit your mood. The servers are always friendly and very good at bringing drink refills.

Tomato's is a standard yummy Italian place. The bread is fresh and warm; the pasta and pizzas are cheesy and comforting. I like the salads also. All in all, pretty good. The service is normally friendly and accommodating.

If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times. 5-star restaurants are reserved for the absolute finest, toniest eating establishments. Two reviewers on http://Tripadvisor.com rate Tomatos 5*, once again demonstrating the low standards of Idahoans.
That said:
The food here is Delicious with a capital D. The atmosphere is a little on the cheesy side, and a little dated. And the location is on a hot busy metro intersection. From the looks of the outside, I would just pass this place on by. However it was recommended by a local so we gave it a try.
The newbie young waitress made one mistake after another, like no ice in my iced tea! But I didn't really care. I gave her slack for being a young inexperienced newbie.
The food made up in spades for the lack of service. The chefs/cooks (no illegals here), work in clear view of the patrons (in one section anyway). I got the standard spaghetti and meat sauce (Italian sausage), and the wife got the Chicken Alfredo special. They are grilling up chicken breasts right in front of your eyes, so you know it's fresh and that alfredo sauce was roll-your-eyes-to-the-back-of-your-head delicious. The spaghetti did not disappoint, pasta cooked right (al dente) and sauce was savory. We also tried their bruschetta which came up weak, cannot touch the A+ bruschetta at Gino's in Boise. But overall, a very good meal at a reasonable price. -

This place was everything I could have wanted from a restaurant that I could walk to from the Red Lion hotel after a long day of driving. I went on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty, but the waiter was pleasant and attentive. The decor is that typical cheesy faux Tuscan look, but I had a cozy booth and felt like the Godfather when they started bringing wine, salad, bread, and pasta and spreading it out on the big table. The food is fine, but not great. Unexciting salad, soft bunny bread served with that saucer of oil and balsamic vinegar (are restaurants still doing that?). My pasta, though, was really pretty good. It was angel hair with mushrooms, artichoke hearts, capers, and a creamy garlic sauce. I was fearful it would be some gloppy Olive Garden style mess, but it was really good and fresh tasting. Not too heavy. The portion was huge, so I packed the leftovers away in my travel cooler. The house Cab wine was surprisingly good, and the meal was CHEAP. $20 for a glass of wine, a mini loaf of bread, a salad, and a huge bowl of pasta--that's including tip (it was actually about $17). The best part of this place is location, though. If you're staying at the Red Lion and don't feel like driving anymore, check out Tomato's.
