Ah Tom E Toes, you are a Wilton institution. No one quite does salad pizza the way you do - and though you've been through many changes over the years, you'll always just be the local pizza joint with insanely slow delivery to me.

Oh and PS - I forgive the fact that EVERYTIME I'm home and eat here with my brothers you ALWAYS put cheese on my food - even when it's not listed and even when the three of us get dramatic and tell you that cheese will kill me. It's cool. For you it's ok. For others? Facepunches and one stars.

Why are they mean here?  They don't have to be!  They could be nice, right?  Maybe it's because they have a lock on the pizza in town?  Maybe it's because they think their food is fabulous?  (It isn't).  Maybe it's because .... oh, heck, I don't know why, but they are.  Super mean!

Ooh, I hate giving one-star reviews, but this warrants it.  When you barely acknowledge my presence when I come in to pick up the food I ordered an hour ago, and it still isn't ready, and you make me stand there for ten more minutes without saying ONE WORD to me about what's going on or when the food will be done, that warrants one star.

When you grunt at me when handing me the food, that warrants one star.

When I get home and there is mayo on all the food that I ordered, even when I expressly asked it not to be, that warrants one star.

So sad, because this place could be a wonderful neighborhood joint, but it just isn't.

The only thing that they have going it their "award winning Chicken Sandwich" which they won like 10 years ago.

Asked for a slice of pizza with mushrooms.  They took a plain slice with yellow and white cheese, put mushrooms on it, then put white mozz over the mushrooms, warmed it up and served.  Disgusting.

Will not go here again.  Except to order the "award winning sandwich" which isn't that good.

We recently dined here and would not recommend it. On a Wednesday night at 7 pm only 1 other table was being used in the "dining room".  The entrees were bland and veal parm was not a good rendition, while the shrimp in the shrimp ravioli looked frozen. The pizza was average and service slow. We ordered a glass of wine and it tasted either watered down or very stale.

With all of the great pizza and Italian places in Connecticut it is surprising that most of the options in Wilton are lacking.

Portions are not only small, but incredibly bland, tasteless, and overpriced. I made the mistake of having some pellegrino from the bottle that was conveniently placed on my table without me asking, and got charged $6....six freaking dollars for seltzer!? this place is ridiculous and I will never go there again.

Casual sit down or more formal option if a slice doesn't do.  It's good to ok but nothing to go out of the way for.  The family friendly environment is likely a highly attractive pull for those looking for some Italian grub.  It's a decent pizza pie with various options but nothing gourmet by any means.

We haven't eaten here in several years and made the mistake of ordering a main course special for the the night, veal saltimbocca.  I have never has a worse version.  The veal was tough, the ham tasted like one brought at the deli counter and the cheese was melted with no flavor.
It should get one star but the salad ordered by my wife rated a three so we have blended the ratings.
Stick with pizza and salad and skip the entries.  Almost forgot to say that the bread was terrible.

Ordered a large pizza with mushrooms & peppers one fine afternoon.  They placed a mass of raw vegetables in a wet soggy base.  Inedible.  Plain cheese was average.  Haven't been back since.

With a cute name like theirs, I was hoping for a better slice of pizza than what I had yesterday.  It was kinda gross.  Not sure how everything else is like here but I don't know if I will be coming here again.  Oh.  The pic is what I uploaded.  Does that look appetizing?

In downtown Wilton, there are a few options for pizza and casual italian dining.  Tom-E-Toes has good pizza, great sandwiches like the chicken crust club as mentioned previously and a friendly vibe from the staff.  It has a small sitting area if you wish to eat your pizza or sandwich quickly.  But they also have nice tables in the back with waitstaff and an expanded menu with dishes like Chicken Francese, eggplant rollatini, pasta, etc.  And if you are still hungry for some tiramisu afterwords, these guys got you covered.

Now that I am officially a Wilton resident, I wanted to explore what all is there from a foodie's point of view. My first place to start off was the wilton center, a small but very neat looking area that caters everything from a Stop and shop, Post Office, a few restaurants, CVS etc. Pretty much the heart of Wilton.
Tom-E-Toes is located next to the stop and shop and has both a take out and fast food type sitting arrangement as well as a formal restaurant with waiter service towards the back, depending on which side you enter. After exploring the restaurant and given the short time i had, i decided to try the pick up or sit section of the restaurant and asked for recommendation from the guy at the counter. He immediately pointed me to their Chicken Pizza Crust Club which took the 1st Place winner 1997 International Pizza Expo. It is basically a gyro like sandwich with chicken, cheese, lettuce and I decided to have it with mayo and honey mustard.  The sandwich was much bigger than I had expected and the crust/bread was very delicious. Given the size of the sandwich, i was surprised how quickly I consumed the whole thing, and was very pleased with what i had just had. I thanked the counter guy for the recommendation, and will be sure to go back there often.

solid italian for lunch or dinner, havn't had their pizza, but their pasta dishes are always good.  Fast service and reasonably priced.  decor is a little too "Olive Gardenish" for my taste, but a good solid place to enjoy lunch
