Simply fantastic. My boyfriend and I have spent many Sundays here with our dog, who loves the dog park! It's really nice that they have a separate fenced area for small dogs and big dogs. Plus the dog area is huge, plenty of room for the doggies to romp and get all their energy out!
My boyfriend plays disc golf there (I just walk with him, walking the dog), and he loves the course. There are 24 holes in total, and walking from hole to hole is almost like hiking, you go into the woods, up and down hills, and across bridges- so pretty!
We've also walked most of the bike trails with the dog off the leash. It is so secluded and pretty, plus the trails go by many streams, which the dog can play in, which is so nice! -

Nice biking, easy beautiful paved trail for anyone, and off road woods single tracks for better riders, helmets required on these.
Tally has many nice parks! -

Never been here before and while we were deciding what to do for the holiday we saw this park was having a huge festival and Fourth Firework's display. Only about six miles from campus we drove over early so we could find parking. The park is gigantic. Beautiful greenery, large tree's everywhere, so clean, dog park, kid's park. Really nice place. What impressed me so much was the level of organization they had. Seeing how it was a holiday, they had full force police officer's directing traffic and it just flowed so nicely.
When we parked and walked over to the main area, they had a large stage with some good local bands playing. People had their chairs lined up on the lawn. Food booths throughout, from Funnel Cakes, Hot dog's, BBQ, Beer, it was very cool.
The event and the firework display was very nice. They did a great job while thousand's upon thousand's of people watched. The music, food, display of fireworks, the beauty of the gorgeous park, it was a perfect holiday. Glad we came to enjoy the show. Only suggestion next time bring plenty of insect repellent. Those mosquito's were out in full force.
Leaving the park was just as organized with the traffic flow. Many many kudo's to all the officer's who made it so easy and stress free.
Check this park out, well worth coming here. -

This is really such a special spot... probably one of the few features of Tallahassee that other Florida cities can't compete with (it has even won national awards). You must check out this park.
Whether you want to play frisbee golf, hike, ride BMX, race RC cars, have a picnic by a lake, kayak, mountain bike, play tennis, exercise your dog (or adopt a new pet at the shelter)... Tom Brown has you covered.
The place is clean and well-kept. Fellow park-goers tend to be friendly. The frisbee golf course is a nice mix of wide open spaces and trickier paths in the woods. The hiking/biking trail is lovely, with some really cool views on the hilltops. There are just enough people that you don't feel alone or unsafe wandering in the "wilderness," but not so many that your ability to commune with nature is jeopardized.
The dog park is nicely done, with separate areas for big and small dogs and a double-gated entrance/exit to prevent escapes. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of checking it out on a Saturday morning and found that the place was VERY crowded, and quite a few of the dogs were too aggressive for safe group play. If you can go on a weekday, then that would be my recommendation. Dear fellow dog owners, please know when your dog is being too aggressive and react accordingly, i.e. taking him aside to chill out or just going home for the day. Exercising your dog is great, but not at the expense of other dogs' safety (and their owners' sanity!) :] -

My favorite MTB trails in the state of Florida! Great for all levels. My 4 year old loves riding the trails and then plays on the huge jungle gym. Great frisbee golf course too!

Tom Brown Park is an awesome park. Its fairly big so if you bring your bike you can ride on the trails for quite some time (the park is linked up with the Goose Pond Trail which you can see while driving down Mahan and Miccosukee if you look close enough). There's a dog park, frisbee golf, playgrounds, mountain biking trails just about anything you could ask for here! Its very well maintained and a perfect place to go to during the fall or spring.

Tom Brown Park is off of Capital Circle winding past the Animal Shelter. There are many events at this park for all different occasions and Holidays. Mostly, we came here every Sunday to visit the dog park. By 11:00AM the park is hopping with many different breeds of dogs, and most of them well behaved.
This is an excellent dog park that is well kept and has an area for small and large dogs to keep them separate. The facilities are nice, and so are the patrons and their pets. Everyone here is very respectful and it is great fun, if you are an animal lover. It is completely free and a great way to enjoy the outdoors with your entire family, dog included.
If you have a dog and live in Tallahassee, I would be surprised if you have not been here yet.
