The young cashier was chill and it is a lot more comfortable to shop since it's not packed like the one in Little Tokyo

Lotsa cute cool stuff! Lots of Hello Kitty stuff!! I love HK & have it discreetly populated in my daily life.
They have many of the hard to find Japanese items and are reasonably priced. I try not to come in too often even though I pass by at least twice a week.
It is very organized and good size. I'll be back... ;)Listed in: Local | Monterey Park, Shop Til You Drop

Cute little Japanese store! I just love to look around and see all the little and I do mean "little" things they have to offer! Great little nick knacks for my daughter! I bought the cutest "Hello Kitty sitting on the porcelain god .... bobble head" You read that correctly... SO cute! Customer service was better than average! The guy working there was SO helpful!
LOVED IT! -

I LOVE THIS STOREEE!!
They just updated their selection of Bento Boxes!! I LOVEE IT!!! WEEEE!!!! They have Hello Kitty Wall, various animal costumes, tea sets & other snacks. The prices are pretty cheap compared to the one inside Santa Anita Mall which jacks up their prices probably because they are inside a mall and rent is more expensive. I LOVE THIS STOREE!!! I buy little presents for people here, it's great!! =D -

My least favorite Tokyo Japanese Lifestyle...
The guy at the counter kept looking at me like I was going to steal something. Relax dude...I am just taking pictures so I can yelp your store.
I like how they have my Re-Ment here and they have many Japanese beauty products and of course Hello Kitty. They also have cute stickers...yes I like stickers.
My favorite Tokyo Japanese Lifestyle is the one at Japanese Village Plaza, Little Tokyo.Listed in: Fun Japanese Places, Re-Ment

Hello Kitty ! Great little store!
I stumbled on this place by chance. I saw Hello Kitty items in the store front. Someone I know has been asking for a change purse to keep track of her newly earned allowance system. She gets .50 cents for each task of helping with laundry, dishes, and helping pick up. With this money she likes to buy toys and ice cream. I often have to secretly pitch in.
So, she loves Hello Kitty, pink, and sparkles. They had the perfect change purse that had all three. Only 9 bucks. I have seen similar for a bout 50% more and had planned on getting one of those.
She loved it!
I didn't spend much time looking at anything else in the store. The Hello Kitty selection is small but decent. I also so a few re-ment items. The lady helping me was super nice. This place is so far out of my way but I will return if I am ever in the area.
Parking..ugh! I don't like this plaza at all..but you can park fairly easy.Listed in: The Kid's List. It's Great To…, Sanrio Hello Kitty

Of the many Tokyo Japanese Lifestyle stores, this one is average. The selections aren't as wide as others and the place isn't kept as immaculate. The basics are there in terms of random J-Pop things, but there are less plushies and anime art here. More of a supply store.
They sell that sugar drink with the marble you pop in. -

I love this place. The person at the cashier is a nice mid-50s asian man. There is just so many neat things available here and it is very affordable. The place is like the 100 yen stores in Japan, in fact, I even saw some Hello Kitty pencil bags that I saw in Hong Kong and Japan back in December! :D
I came here the other day exclusively to buy some cute bentos. I parked my car and immediately rushed out and I saw the man closing the shop... :'( He must have saw the crestfallen look on my face because he opened the store back up for me.
I bought some cute bento boxes and a water container/pitcher for my room. You can find the pictures of it on the pictures section of this place. The place also has lots of stationary supplies and many cute/kawaii things that you might be looking for at Little Tokyo. Very affordable. The bentos are $1.99 and they come in various colors and styles!
If you're a Japanese stuff-loving person, you'll have to check it out! -

I LOVE Japanese stuff! LOVE IT. LOVE IT.
This place is jam-packed with all sorts of doodads and trinkets. They also stock my current fave lazy bear, Rilakkuma. They have pot holders, and coin purses galore. The Hello Kitty stuff is okay (I'm still bitter with her over that stupid exhibit.) Dish sponges shaped like fruit with the cutest smiley faces! And they have fun re-ment items and japanese candy, tooooo!!! eeeeeheeeeheeeee!!!!
Did not make me as hysterical as Tamaya over in Torrance, but still worth the trip! -

I looove coming to this place to buy cute little japanese things. It's super affordable. Everything in the store is around 1.99! I am obsessed with the fake eyelashes here. Everytime i come here i get around like 3 or 4 pairs of eyelashes for only 1.99! The service is okay I'm not really familiar with the workers since I'm only here like once a month or so. They also have a lot of other cute little trinklets that you can buy. It's like a waaay cheaper version of the Sanrio store. if you have kids that like the stationary or whatnot, definitely come here if you're lookign to save some moneeyy. Besides stationary, they sell make up, facial products, nail products, hair products, everyday things, and even clothes! They also have like Japanese snacks and Hello Kitty Jewelry. The only thing I don't like about the store is that they only accept card if you purchase a minimum of $10. Otherwise, it's cash only!
