Steak and Cheese, Extra Steak, Extra Cheese.
Fresh baked bread. American Cheese. And Steak. There is absolutely nothing better.
Togo's rocks.
The original TOGO's not that corporate junk they sell in every other state, this place is the best. The torpedo is the best thing ever invented and the weapon of mass destruction can destroy my bowels any day. I really think its a shame when people think of togo's as that crappy chain that are usually atached to dunkin donuts. There really is no comparison. This is a yooper treat you betcha!
All hail Tummy T. Togo
I have an important announcement. This is the REAL Togo's.
Here in California there's this chain called Togo's. They make sandwiches, too. I don't know what that's about cuz I grew up in Marquette, Michigan, and I know all about Togo's. The Three Cheese Veggie kicks butt, or at least it did back in the day, and things in Michigan don't tend to change much over time. And I mean that in an affectionate way.
Well, I've got a little problem with all these imposter sandwich places out here. There's a Togo's on the ground floor of my office building, for goodness sakes. I miss the real Togo's. I can imagine the smell of the bread, olives, sprouts, all that good stuff. Oh, well.
The fresh baked bread is great. I had the Torpedo, a hot sandwich with thick slices of real steak (not the cold-cut kind). My wife and I split a large and was plenty for both of us. She's loved this place since her college days. I can see why.
My girlfriend and I had a totally mediocre experience at Togo's just last week. They were out of the soup I wanted and it was only 7:30, they were also out of the bread my girlfriend wanted for her sandwich. The sandwiches were not bad, but I've had better for less money.
Great sandwich. I like the "BOMB" or is it the "Torpedo"? Can't remember the difference
