You don't have to be Korean to get friendly service here! Which is why I'm bumping this place up to 5 stars.

I had the #1 - Spicy tofu bowl with chicken and mushroom. It was yummy! Food came out in slightly different presentation. Rather than getting a bunch of those little dishes as you would at other Korean places, I got one large, white plate with rice, bean sprouts, cucumber and daikon.

I never finish my food anywhere I go. Our server, I think she's the owner's daughter, packed up my food for me. She even double wrapped it and taped the little hole on top that lets out steam so that it won't spill in the car. I love that she was thoughtful enough to do that.

Sorry folks but this place is closed.  I walked around the plaza twice and this place might have been replaced by an Italian restuarant.

I've submitted the info to yelp team already.

I decided to check out this restaurant when it opened and was surprised to find that I knew the owners.  I had the spicy tofu soup.  Soup was nice and spicy, except they put slices of jalapeno in the soup.  I thought it was kinda odd, maybe that's how it's supposed to be.  They give you a mound of rice, some spinach, radish and kimchee w/the soup.

The second time I visited the place, I waved to the friendly owners.  They're always so easy going and smiling.  They gave me a free mini-appetizer of seafood pancake with some soy based sauce.  Yum!  Very light tasting and not overly oily.  It's got bits and pieces of green onion, squid, and other items.

I knew exactly what I wanted when I went the third time, more tofu soup and a seafood pancake.  The pancake was huge!  We couldn't finish our food.  To top it all, the owners gave me a 10% discount off my bill.

    I'm a Tofu & Box lover.

This is a small Korean restaurant in a strip mall, next door to a Una Mas! close to Carl's Jr. at N. 1st street and Trimble Rd.

The menu is pretty small, around 10 items for lunch and 10 items on the dinner side.  This restaurant is only about 2 months old, but a few items on the menu have already been taped over with white stickers.

I tried one of the 4 soft tofu items for lunch, the other few items on the limited menu were lunch boxes.  The portion was not big.  The price of the soft tofu was $8.90 after tax.  The tofu was served with a dish of kimchi, a plate with a scoop of rice, some bean sprouts, some spinach and some radish.  The waitress offered that the side dishes could be refilled.  But they were not particularly outstanding, hence I didn't bother.  The seafood tofu I ordered was nothing to write home about, the two shrimps were so tiny that I didn't even bother to peel the shell.  I just chewed them whole.  I don't know if it was due to the kimchi or the tofu, I started to have MSG reaction a couple minutes into the meal.  I am not going back.

I'd rather go to Jinmi http://www.yelp.com/bi... in Sunnyvale.

This place was NOT BAD at all!!!! And surprisingly, their service was great! They were soo nice and sweet!!!! Did I look Korean today or somethin?!?!?!?!

Given that this restaurant is owned by Koreans, most Korean owners normally don't give me a second glance when I eat at their joints, unless I was or looked Korean. But today, it was different. Right away, I was served with a glass of water with lemon. Also, I was waiting for my cousin and her coworker, and every time they would pass by me, they asked if I was okay and if there was anything I needed while I was sitting patiently.

Before they gave me my main entree, they gave me a bowl of salad.. Man, their dressing is SUPER YUMMY! I asked our waitress what kind of dressing it was, but she said she didn't know and that many people ask her the same thing. Obvious enough, it was a house specialty. Ordered their tofu soup with chicken and mushrooms, SPICY. And spicy it was. =) Served in a nice, black, slow-cooked bowl. That kept my soup nice and HOT throughout my soup session. Also, they gave me an egg to crack to put in my soup. It was realllly good and also, somewhat, healthy. Tofu is healthy, right??? Along with the soup, they gave me some rice and kimchee, an added bonus. I didn't even KNOW that my SOUP came with rice too. Super cool!

All of their other items that they had on their menu looked delicious as well.
I'm definitely coming here again next week for lunch; although, parking is MADNESS!

i had the #6 i believe (a spicy BBQ pork box). the food was served in a surprisingly elegant fashion--came with three salad-ish sides including this crunchy bean-sprout salad with sesame oil that was awesome. the pork and kimchi that came with it were also terrific. i haven't eaten at too many korean places but i'd definitely come back here.
