12 reviews for Todo Mexico
Was in Snohomish on our way to Leavenworth for Oktoberfest and it was lunch time and we were hungry. And so we stopped and saw Todo's and thought "well, okay...Mexican sounds good."
It was quiet when we got there - early lunch time on a Thursday, I guess that makes sense, though it picked up a bit halfway through our meal. Service was attentive and friendly. We snagged a table by the window, which was a bonus.
The chips and two types of salsa - a hot sauce with pieces of cilantro mixed in and a pico de gallo with what appeared to be cabbage in it. (Hard to tell but looked like cabbage.) VERY fresh tasting and the hot sauce had a pleasant burn without making me want to throw myself in the river. I don't have the best tolerance for hot stuff so for me to enjoy the hot sauce says it's fairly safe.
Boyfriend ordered shredded beef enchiladas (the lunch special - came with refried beans and rice) and I ordered a shredded beef burrito, which was huge. HUGE. And filled with rice and beans and what appears to be a slow cooked chunk of beef that was shredded and dumped (with it's juices and sauces) into my burrito. SO GOOD.
The drink menu, especially the tequila menu, was quite extensive. As it was lunch time, we didn't feel the need to try it out but it looks pretty darn good...
Downtown Snohomish is a bit out of the way for us and I can't imagine we'd have much of a reason to go back (except perhaps in passing through to Hwy 2 to go east or something) but when we DO have the chance, we will return. Or maybe we'll find a reason to return because I'm totally craving another one of those monster burritos.
Pretty good mexican food, great service, nice place. I'll be back.
Good Mexican food in the antique area of 1st, in downtown Snohomish. The prices are good and the staff is nice. A good place to eat while shopping with a nice river view
Okay.... yes.
This is some good food. After a day of driving up to Snohomish & shopping, my friend and I were starving.
Little breakdown:
Parking, there is street parking all over Snohomish, and it's such a little "Main Street" America kind of place you will want to find some parking and take a stroll.
The Restaurant, it has that usual Mexican Restaurant kind of feel. Stucco-esque, plastic and real tropical plants, cheesy little decorations. But that's okay, it adds to the charm. The cool thing is that it is overlooking hte river, so if you go be sure to ask for a seat by the window. We were able to watch boaters, jet skiers and people walking along the river... it was an absolutely lovely view.
The service is really fantastic. They all worked together in a team, they were super sweet and they got nothing wrong.
The salsa and hot sauce that comes with the freshly made chips... it's complimentary and it is DELICIOUS. The Salsa tastes very fresh, crisp sweet tomatoes dancing around with onions and just a touch of lime and cilantro. The Hot Sauce is rich, savory and with just enough kick to make you stand at attention but not enough to make you cry.
We ordered Chicken Taquitos as an appetizer. They were the real deal. No added fluff to cut back on quality and cost. We got flaky chicken meat wrapped up in crispy tortillas and fried. Served on a bed of lettuce with homemade, delicious guacamole and sour cream... we could have stopped there but didn't.
They were serving Aquas Fresca. I had Pineapple and my friend Had Mango, they were HUGE glasses. Absolutely refreshing and delicious.
So for our lunch we both ended up ordering the same thing. Pork Chili Verde. A Green Chili & Tomatilla Sauce, that pork has been slow roasting in, stuffed into a flour tortilla and then topped with more Green Chili sauce. Mild heat, heart warming and belly warming too. Portion size was ENORMOUS, seriously... the burrito was as big as a forearm. Crazy huge, and crazy delicious.
After gorging ourselves on the Taquitos & Chips, there was hardly any room left. I had enough leftovers to bring home and split it with my Husband for dinner and still not be hungry.
Value wise... it was incredible. (Apps, Drinks & Entrees for 2 people = $33)
Taste... better than expected.
Service.... exceptional.
Location.... surprisingly lovely.
Go back again?.... OH YEAH!
Another great TODO !!! InSnohomish right on the river . Great view . Good drinks . Fun town to walk around . If you like mexican food & a great view .
GO GO . Have some fun !!! Al so great service with a smile .
Mexican food at its best.
I've been going to this restaurant for about 3 or 4 years now, at least twice a month, and I've still yet to be unhappy with any aspect of the restaurant.
The waiters remember your face and will greet you really nicely.
The food, no matter what you get, will make you full and is tasty.
The prices are completely reasonable.
The view of the river is awesome - grab a spot by the window (unless you're about to take my spot..)
Moral of the story - eat Todo Mexico.
This cute and colorful restaurant perched above the Snohomish River serves tasty Mexican-American food, attentive service, and a variety of aguas frescas. Try the chile verde burrito with beans and rice and mango aguas frescas. No disappointments were had here.
Good food, convenient location, nice interior, friendly staff, GREAT VIEW!! Demand a window booth (in a nice way).
I have eaten here several times and think the food is good. One time I had the Nopales (cactus) salad, and didn't like that too much, but I am sure that was me, not the salad.
The view is my main reason to eat here.
This restaurant is right on the river, it is a beautiful location to sit and eat. They have very tasty food here, and are a lot more flavorful and fresher than some of the other Todo's in the area (shoreline...hint hint). They have very strong satisfying drinks, tasty shredded chicken taco salads, and "flautas", which for the lay-person, are taquitos made from flour tortillas instead of corn. Superbly tasty food and great ambiance. Probably the only good mexican in the town of snohomish.
I've eaten here several times and have always been happy with both the food & service. Honestly, the food is just about the same as any other "American Mexican" restaurant you'll find, but I love the fact that the restaurant is right on the edge of the Snohomish river. The wait staff is very good about trying to seat you in a window booth. Competition for Salish? I think not. However, I do think the peaceful flow of the river, and the occasional spotting of wildlife ads far more enjoyment to my enchilada eating than any mariachi band ever could.
Actual Mexicans eat here. Thats a good sign. Also a hangout for the locals. Another good sign. I've been a customer of Todo since the day they opened. Its not the usual hispanic gringo slop food that you see at a lot of places who serve south of the border food. Fajitas are great. Chili Verde burrito also great. The service is top shelf. They take care of you. It wont break your wallet either unless you decide to keep the tequila shots coming. When your food arrives, you notice that its not all run together like a multi colored puddle of gravey. Most people dont look at presentation too closly but nothing turns me off tmore than overcooked food thats run together to disguise the mess. Not at Todo. They do it right.
I eat here once a month or so and have found a few things that I really like.
First of all, they have a great selection of Tequila, I've not found a better selection outside downtown Seattle. Cazadores, DonJulio, DonEduardo are my faves, skip the gringo Patron. The bartender is great to BS with between shots.
Second, there are a few dishes I come here for and rarely order anything else. Their 'Oaxaca Tacos Al Carbon' and Ceviche are great. I've tried some Mole and thought it was good (supported by my native Mexican friend). My wife ordered the Albondigas (meatball) soup and was very disappointed compared to a place in Monroe, but they happily removed the charge.
The service is always very prompt and polite.
And finally, the riverside view is the best in town, especially during floods if you are not worried about the foundation being washed out from beneath you.
