Barn + Sur La Table = Toby's Feed Barn.

Fresh fruit and a bazillion varieties of honey.  I was in honey heaven!  Alas.. I didn't pick one up because the bf was with me and he said we didn't need honey... (tear).

We did pick up some awesome fruit.  $2.25 for a basket of strawberries, ubber plump grapes and large and in charge nectarines (waiting for those bad boys to ripen).  Also picked up a huge full bag of dried mangos.... WOW.  I've never had a bag that full before in my life and I believe it is now half way empty.  We were charged a dollar less then what it said on the bag, so that was a big plus :)

Going into Toby's Feed was a great close to a lovely motorcycle ride/following in the car day.  Lots of people walking around in downtown Pt Reyes on a sunny Sunday afternoon.  Strolling up and down the tiny streets.  Eating fresh fruit from the store...  What could be better?

I love Toby's! I've been going to Toby's for 15 years, picking up little trinkets or snacks or for Christmas in the barn. I was sad to learn of Toby's passing.

The Farmer's Market on Saturday is amazing. The strawberries, the honey, the guest chef making something ridiculously delicious!

Inside, I spent $40 on eight bars of chocolate, a bag of almonds and two boxes of crackers. It's a bit pricey, as are all the grocers in the area, but where else can you get a spicy tequila lime chocolate bar? Or a lemonade white chocolate bar? My girlfriends and I had a great time taste testing all Toby's had to offer.

The staff is wonderful.

Don't forget to go to the back of the store, there's a great gallery there.

Pick up a Putomayo cd and pop it in on your drive to Pierce Point or Bodega Bay.

Nice little place with a bunch of jams and spreads to choose from. They also have a nice array of vegetables in front.

Besides taht they have a bunch of small fun stuff near the back to look at. Especially since halloween is coming up they do have some small models and what not.

Also got some soaps and lotions and cards and t-shirts. So its like a giftshop/mini grocery mart.

They didn't have a lot of food here that was made locally except for some dried fruits and nuts.  My aunty and uncle are a fan of nuts so I got a bag of BBQ almonds for them.  Not too much BBQ flavor but the almonds were toasted perfectly.

Toby's has a little bit of everything with a small fresh fruit and vegetable selection, snacks, clothes, trinkets, and music.  I think it's worth a short pop-in if you're cruisin' around downtown Point Reyes Station.

Come out in the morning for a Yoga class in the back of the barn.   Then have a coffee and a muffin from the cafe in the barn, then buy a 20 pound bag of bird seed, some fair-trade chocolate and a few gallon lavender plants.  Browse the organic produce. Everything you might want to buy on a lazy Saturday.

Perfect place to pick up a thank-you gift for the house-sitters after your weekend getaway in Point Reyes.  You can find gourmet nibblies, your standard fancy candles/bath items, some cute t-shirts, toys, and whatchamadoodles.  There's plenty of room to browse, and everything's decently priced.

I'm rating this separately from the coffee bar, this is just for the store.  I really liked walking into the store and browsing around.  There's a wide selection of organic and local everything, and a warm charm about the place that is in tune with much of the little town of Point Reyes Station.  Shelves full of preserves, a fridge full of local dairy items, premium teas and coffees, bulk foods, music and books, and a few tchotchkes here and there.  Picture an Elephant Pharmacy, much smaller and more unique (cause there's only one!)

best tasting espresso ever is served at Toby's coffeeshop right next door to the feed barn. Oh and they make the coffee to the tunes of Led Zeppelin box set. No Enya served here!
