Yes, I know this is a chain...but enough Yelpers ask where to find excellent deals on nice clothes here in Nashville, and this particular location is a hotspot for inexpensive designer goods!
A few years ago TJ Maxx redesigned this store, and it now carries a huge selection of furniture, bedding, bath, kitchen ware, and anything else you can think of for the home. Additionally, they added a "Runway" section in the women's department--it's all designer clothes at fabulous prices!
A friend of mine bought a $6,000 classic black Armani evening gown for $600!!!! I'm not kidding. They always have several racks full of jeans too--Sevens, Rock & Republic, Chip and Pepper, J Brand, Earl Jean, DVB, 579, Paige, and so many more--all for under $100! Even some for under $50. Before you go jeans shopping--go here!
Other great finds at this TJ Maxx are luggage, bags, and suits--I buy all my suits here! Tons of Anne Klein and Tahari. Don't overlook the shoe section either! It's hit or miss, but they usually have a lot of BCBGirls and Michael Kors in stock, as well as good ole' Nine West.
Make the short drive to Brentwood to check out this place before you embark on a big shopping trip elsewhere!
Really nice stuff for cheap!. The Home Goods part of the store features some of the best prices I had ever seen on this stuff ...everyday. AND when it gets marked down---yippie! I always check here first for lamps, bedding, towels and kitchen stuff. Even my snooty foodie brother from Seattle was impressed by the quality of pots, pans and knives. Don't be afraid of the long check out line, it goes fast and is efficient. 100 Oaks store doesn't have the Home Goods or the efficient check out lines.
I love T.J.Maxx but beware of this store. This store is cheaper than other places but it is also priced for the people of Brentwood. What I mean by this is I have seen the exact same things at other stores cheaper even on the same day. If you want a real deal head to 100 Oaks.
The first thing I noticed at TJ Maxx Home Goods was the line of people at checkout...and this was a good thing! There was a line of customers actually buying things and moving efficiently through a check out line filled with an ample (yes, ample) number of employees. The first thing my daughters noticed was the sign pointing to children's clothing. Though we went for "home goods," we strayed to clothing and my daughters scoured the racks, citing a few key brand names, and picking an armful fo things to try on. I finally steered them in our intended direction. We were looking for a new bedspread for my daughter and as luck would have it, the one she liked was the one on the display bed. And that was the only one. I tentatively asked the salesperson in that department (yes, there was a salesperson in that department!) if we could have that diplay bedspread. To my surprise, she did not huff and puff and threaten to blow my house down, she quickly disassembled her bedding display, put the bedspread in a case and in our cart, and asked if we also wanted to purchase the matching pillows. Pleased with our inexpensive finds, we happily and quickly went through the check out line with a new outfit for both my girls, a new bedspread...and matching pillows.
