I have never been to a store with such knowledgeable employees!  One of my dogs was put onto a prescription diet by my vet and that costed me arms and legs.  After talking to the staff over there, I was recommended a all-natural holistic food with no grain and my dog does much better!  Not only the allegy is gone but the coat becomes much better.

I also went to their daycare and boarding facility and I love there too!

I'd like to start my review by stating that I don't work at Titan's Kingdom. One of the yelpers who reviewed this place insinuated that the other reviewers of this little pet store were all employees of the place. I work in construction, not in retail. So that's out of the way!

My husband and I came here because they are one of the few stores in the tri-city area that sell Merrick's brand of pet food. My mom's dog, Hero, is an old dog and she had problems with shedding. Every time you pet her, you'd get a fistful of old hair. Since going on Merrick's Turducken, her coat is amazingly healthy, she barely sheds, and she seems to feel much better! It's crazy! So anyway, that's why we came here. It's out of the way for us, but I'll tell you what: it's worth it.

The couple who were in the store at the time were extremely helpful! Also, the people in there care very much about pets and know an awful lot about what to serve them for various afflictions or problems. The woman in the store took the time to go over the ingredients of the food that she helped us choose for our cats, who also have a shedding problem. All the products that they sell are healthful for your pets, as they do not contain wheat or other glutens. AND there's an adorable Yellow Retriever who greeted us in the store, and is very healthy himself! I should've asked what his name is, but I forgot. We were checking out their healthy food and snack options for our cats, and we also ran across some cool kitty bling!

They didn't sell us any membership or anything. They gave us a frequent buyer card that once you get it full of stamps, you get $10 off of your next purchase, or a pet shampoo in their pet salon. Since we have cats, we'll probably just use the money option. This didn't cost anything.

We found the service very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a Sunday, so it maybe was the owners. I'm not sure.

Anyway, I fully enjoyed my experience here! And I have to say, I'm not afraid of spending a little money to improve the lives of my cats. That's what being a pet owner includes. I take that responsibility seriously!!!

FIRST OF ALL, I JUST WANT TO PINPOINT OUT THAT SOME J3RK HAS FLAGGED MY RATING FOR TITANS KINGDOM WHICH IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!  PROBABLY HE/SHE THOUGHT THAT I WORK FOR TITANS KINGDOM.  I HAVE TWO DOGS - HUGS & KISSES - AND THEY ARE LOYAL CITIZENS OF TITANS KINGDOM. REPOSTING MY COMMENT -

Wow Shana A, you must be really unhappy for writing that kind of review about Titan's Kingdom store!  First of all, you wrote on your review that you WORK (currently) in the pet industry and I quote, "I WORK in the pet industry and WANTED TO GO CHECK the place out..." Obviously you have a MISSION to talk negatively about this place so that they'll lose business.   Their staff are EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL to customers whether you're checking the place out, window shopping or buying their products.  

For RT's comment on DOGGY CLOTHES WITH JEWELS ON THEM - it's a dog's boutique! You get to have some fun with your FURRY COMPANION.  Nothing wrong with playing dress up.  Besides Titan's Kingdom store has A LOT MORE NATURAL AND HOLISTIC doggie and cat foods and VERY FEW DOGGY CLOTHES WITH JEWELS ON THEM.

About the PetSpa - not all dogs are happy to be bathe by this machine.  My dog is one of them however I want my dog to be cleaned and she loves the drier!  

All in all, Titans Kingdom store is DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT!  All you pet lovers should see it for yourself and be open-minded.  They are very active in the pet community and even sells Drigon Park's Doggie Cookbook.  I love this place and my dog definitely loves their food and the environment.  HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!!!

I didnt have a bad experience here. I thought the workers were helpful and pretty knowledgable about pet care. They recommended pet food for my mini maltese and her allergies, and gave me a bunch of samples and free give aways.

The bath part seemed cool but I dont think that it cleans them that good. Just a bunch of soap and water spraying at them. Dogs need to be rubbed to get that doggie smell out. Even tho my dog was a lil frighten, what dog wasn't scared to be put in this tank with soap and water firing at them for the first time. Prolly thought they were going to get cleaned to death. But after awhile its not so bad and they said the soap doesn't burn the eyes, so its harmless.

It would be better if they had a complete grooming service since petco always jacks up my dogs haircut. Always cutting it too short and making my dog look like a poodle. Need to find a place where they can do the puppy cut for Maltese.

They take great care of your pup!: We read the first review of Titan's Kingdom the morning of our dog's first daycare visit and almost didn't take him. As you learn with many reviews online, some people have extreme opinions - some can be too good to be true and others are so negative, they paint an unfair picture of a business. Such was the case for the first reviewer.

After taking our dog to several East Bay daycare/boarding facilities and being either unsatisfied with the high prices for some or having an unacceptable boarding experience with others, we've found TK to be a perfect home away from home for our boy.

Some highlights:
- Great indoor/outdoor facility with separation of large and small dogs.
- Attentive, friendly staff who really seem to care about the dogs (even with all the dogs there, they knew our pup's name by the 2nd visit)
- One-stop shop: Store with organic treats, food and supplies; Grooming (they do an excellent job at grooming and nail care), day care and boarding
- Overnight Staffing: They have a dedicated staff member who spends the night with the dogs and gives them bathroom breaks during the night. This is key for us, as our boy doesn't like kennels. He stays with the staff where they sleep so he's comfortable.
- Prices: After comparing with other places, we've found TK to be extremely affordable.
- Puppy cam: I've heard they have this but haven't used it yet.

A word of caution for any dog facility: Dog Daycares aren't for everyone. While they are for dogs with good temperaments who naturally like to play with others, they may not be good for antisocial, timid, or skittish dogs. If your dog is not already properly socialized, they may not have a good experience at a daycare. Have bark busters or another dog training business come to your house to work with you and your dog. Don't just throw them into a group of 20 - 30 dogs and expect them to magically become social and play with the others. Such was probably the case with the first reviewer, and they should not be blaming TK for their dog's condition.

We've been to Titan's Kingdom probably 7 or 8 times for daycare and at least 3 times for boarding (mostly over the weekend but some longer) and we've had a consistently great experience. We're happy and our dog is definitely happy (and tired when he comes home). While there are some places in Emeryville that are well-oiled machines (complete with headsets and spas for your dog), the price you pay is outrageous (and not worth it IMO).
And while we're away, we feel assured that our dog is in good hands. Can't ask for more than that.

wow, I just went in there today. Walked in with the mailman and wasn't even acknowledged. No hi. Not even a nod. The girl working at the register went straight to helping him who was trying to work. Geez. She started asking the mailman who was delivering mail about what kind of dog food he feeds his dogs so she could give give him the lecture on what makes their brands better..while he is working!?!?!.. and with me in there a paying customer. I work in the pet industry and wanted to go check the place out. I've gone to the other daycare center to hear lectures so I wanted to see what this location is about. It was okay. Nothing really there. And being completely ignored I left my stuff on the counter and left as she continued to flirt with the mailman. Wow, you just lost a good customer. I buy a lot of dog items for myself and my clients. Probably the worse serve I'd seen in awhile.

I had high hopes for this place.

When I walked in I did not get acknowledged by the worker behind the counter. I was the only person in the store too! The store had a cold, dead feeling. While browsing the store, I also had the feeling that they viewed pets as accessories and not as furry companions. There were so many doggy clothes with little jewels on them.
To their credit they do carry pretty good dog food. It's all natural and holistic.

The store is pretty small and the prices are not competitive at all.
The location is so close to pet food express that I see no reason to shop here.

I like the fact they are alllll holistic and carry really nice treats and cool new gadgets. I took my pup in for the auto bath and he did not like it at all. I didn't either. Poor guy was traumatized and then he was so nervous he fell off the grooming table. They kinda pressured me into getting the membership...but later I realized $5 isn't worth traumatizing my pup again...Their prices are reasonable but I find petfoodexpress to carry many of the same brands for a bit cheaper... Plus they charge for everything here...even the temperament test for day care to puppy social hour....Nice owners though they are very knowledgeable....

If you have dogs or cats you definately should pay a visit!
They only sell healthy stuff for your pets, cool goodies including high quality pet clothing, and pet bathing system.  
NO WHEAT, NO CORN, NO SOY in their foods.  
And now have expanded to a doggie daycare & vacationing resort.  LuckyGirl's favorite store by far.

** Small dog social (indoors) on Tuesday evenings @7pm-8pm **
socializing your pup is important at a young age - they will be less yappy and more friendly to people & other doggies =)

LuckyGirl even loves the mailman, she greets with kisses =) hehehe.. silly dog
