Really awful.

First, the decor.  It looks like they bought a whole bunch of plastic decals, spray painted them gold, and stuck them in patterns around the walls.

Salt and pepper shakers were greasy, and walls and bathrooms were greasy too.

Food was greasy too.  I had a bowl of vegetarian curry soup which was basically oil with curry in it, and then I had a veggie pita.  It comes out, a flat pita on a plate, doused generously with oil and a couple of oil-cured sun-dried tomatoes and some lettuce.  It said hummus?  Where's the hummus?  There wasn't any on my pita.

No one waited on us for at least 10 minutes so I had to tell the hostess that we weren't waited on yet.

There is such a plethora of places to go in Baltimore, I certainly would never go here again.  The whole place had been, what's the saying?  Rode hard and put out wet.

I honestly wasn't that opposed to the place.... maybe i was just hungry!  With everywhere in the harbor PACKED we were just happy to find a table and not have to wait an hour.

The service was awful.   What should have been a 30 minute meal ended up taking over an hour.   I think it was close to 15 minutes before we were even attended to.    Although time does seem to take longer when you're hungry...

I ordered the roast beef sandwich, which came with a very tasty chipotle mayo dressing.   The beef was good and the bread was fresh.   There was a ton of meat on it too!   It came with fries that were particularly tasty so i was satisfied with my meal.   One of my dining companions got a club that was really lacking in the meat, but everyone elses meals seemed good.  I was impressed with the selection of "authentic" irish dishes like bangers and mash and shepherd's pie.

After waiting another 20 minutes we finally got the check and the prices were not that outrageous at all.   Overall i would say it ended up working out well

would i seek this place out again?  no.   But if i found myself in the harbor with no place else to go, i'd be willing to go again.

I think part of having a decent experience at Tir Na Nog is coming in with expectations appropriate for where you are -- a tourist-laden area of the Inner Harbor in a restaurant likely filled with convention-goers.

This is not an authentic Irish pub, nor do I think it is meant to be, but for an "Irish-inspired" restaurant and bar, it doesn't do that bad... depending on what you order.  I would stay away from anything "Irish" sounding.

I have had the best luck so far with ordering from their specials menu which has in the past included things like blood orange salads and tomato basil soup.  I know, not too Irish of me, but at least I am following my own advice.

From start to finish this place was a total disorganized and tasteless disaster.   Hostess told us to stand in a specific place to wait for a table outside in just a minute, then after 10 minutes she asked if we had been helped (duh!).  Then we were taken to a table INSIDE and had to have them find us another table.  Waitress took drink orders but then dissapeared for over 15 minutes.  When the food finally got there is was terrible (corned beef sandwich like it was from a cheap street vendor).   Way overpriced for what it is.   Is this reflective of the inner hollow/rotten core of the Baltimore Harbor cluster?

yuck.

while the company i kept throughout our ridiculously overpriced and underwaitressed meal was fantastic, i have to say this place sucks. how hard is it to give your tables napkins? i mean, hey, i know silverware is for rich folks and fancy types, but a napkin, man??!! c'mon!!

my mother-in-law ordered a "taste of fall", and ended up with a glass fulla nothin' but cider. feh. that wasn't the taste she ordered, guys. then, when letting our waitress know, she was rebuffed with more than a bit of rudeness. i would think that maybe we were just unlucky or something, but no. our lovely waitstaff pretty much ignored every single one of her tables. every single one of her THREE tables. wait to be awesome, girl!!

i think, of all the food ordered, mine was the only dish that didn't suck. hey, good for me, right? though, i have to say, if they'd fucked up a turkey sammich, they ought to just close up shop now.  my toddler son dug his fish & chips, though.

the only positive about this joint? the bussers and support staff. those gentlemen, and one lady, were working their butts off, rushing, and generally being awesome. maybe tir na nog ought to move them up the food chain, and get rid of the shite waitstaff.

just an idea.
