I've been a fan of the Tin Roof from the day it opened back in...well...maybe 5 or 6 years ago? Well before the naked statues were running in a circle on the roundabout, "Big Ben, Parliament" style. I was actually there on opening night...ah those were the days.
Anyway, it's still a great place although I frequent it a lot less in my "old" age. But, went there last night and remembered why I love it:
--great house band, but if you go back to back weekends (or heck, nights) then expect to hear the same exact set list over and over! Always good stuff you can sing to though.
--rowdy, fun crowd--great place to dance (college fraternity party style) and enjoy a cold beer
--celeb sightings nearly every time I go--last night was Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys (OK I didn't say they were always A-list celebs!) and my favorite funny sports writer, Clay Travis. But, I've seen anyone from Keith Urban to Jon Bon Jovi to Carrie Underwood and one of the Allman Brothers there at any given time. They know it's a fun time!
Additionally, it's a great place to eat lunch. Try their quesadillas (the 'shroom is my favorite) or their pressed sandwiches--the chicken fajita sandwich is top notch! Nice patio too, and a great place to people watch. Kids could lunch it during the day, but at night, it's 21 and up--even if you are going to act like you are 18 again!

I've had a great deal of fun at the Tin Roof. There's something very special to me about a place where I can stand on the seats. It's loud, it's not particularly comfortable, but I like the Tin Roof.
I also enjoy the Buddha enclosed in the the plexiglass box and taking photos of friends with it in compromising poses. The crowd is good, pretty much like every place on Denumbreun, and not skeezy like other parts of Nashville.
I also enjoy the fact that there's a hotel across the street so I can pass out without having to endure a taxi ride.
