My mother always kept fresh, loose flowers around the house and a more formal seasonal bouquet in the living room. I inherited the same aesthetic but my life is chaos on wheels and I am lucky if I have three dried-out peonies on the dining room table. So today in my typical frantic state I yelped 'flowers' in La Jolla, found Timeless Blossoms, and called to beg for a same-day something for my 20 year-old daughter' s birthday.
Lucky for me, the voice on the other end of the phone was the understanding and charming Samuel Northway. Sam calmed me down and gently persuaded me that there was plenty of time and I didn't need to do something rash like sending a college student a teddy bear, daisies, or (god forbid) balloons. Sam simply said he preferred flowers and recommended a simple glass trumpet vase, filled with flowers in her favorite green, purple and soft pink color palette accented by dark green peacock feathers. To further reassure me, when Sam was ready to deliver the arrangement, he emailed me a photograph of his work...swoon! The flowers were gorgeous, more expensive-looking than they were, and my daughter adored them!

Timeless Flowers ,Best Flowers and Best customer service.
I live in the area and i have 3 nieces that had recital and dance shows i was going to attend to . It was a last minute idea that i should buy flowers. They are age 6- 9-13 years old. I needed cute little bouquets of flowers. Well let me tell you a lot of people can make Bouquets but when someone loves what they do and they have passion you can tell the difference on their work. Chanel ask me couple of good questions like the most important my budget and what it was for. She made this little colorful, adorable bouquets of flowers for 3 of my nieces which they loved holding in their little hands . Definitely i would go back to Timeless Blossoms for all my events that i need flowers for.

As a guy, I really don't know diddly squat about flowers. I'm sorry, it just wasn't coded for in my DNA. When a flower shop asks me "do you want azaleas or primoses or pansies" I start melting down in a flower-framed crisis. Which is why I LOVED the way Chanel went about creating my flower order. It was very simple:
Chanel: What's your budget?
Me: Uh... 60$?
Chanel: What's it for?
Me: Uh... Anniversary?
Chanel: So, roses. What else does she like?
Me: Uh... white... flowers?
Chanel: Got it. I'll have something beautiful for you in a little bit.
BAM. THAT'S IT? I drove on over and she had made me a truly unique bouquet, honestly unlike anything I've gotten from your usual run-of-the-mill "commercialized" flower shops. And I love how proud Chanel seemed to be of her work, like each bouquet was her only personal pet project for the day that she was proud to impart on her customers, not just another job for just another customer. It just made the whole experience feel... personalized.
My time with Chanel was brief but it's amazing how much you can find out about a person and a business in just a few minutes. When I was on the phone with her putting in my order, she was hand picking fresh flowers from a flower field out in Carlsbad. When she called me to let me know my flowers were done and I said I couldn't pick them up for another hour or so, she insisted on driving them over to where I was. Small things.
Small tip for Chanel (and others walking in later in the day): Solidify your business hours! Yelp says 5, your website says 7 but you told me 4 :/ Next time I'll simply come in the mornings!
Otherwise, bravo, Chanel. I'm a satisfied customer! -

I decided to give them a call and order my mom her
favorite- red roses.
I went to pick them up after work today (at quarter to 7), and Chanel welcomed me in. I looked at their business hours and it said they
close @ 6. Serving customers past business hours- that's going above and beyond the call of duty.
Chanel was super cool (she has a dope English accent), and the rose arrangement far surpassed
my expectations. For a dozen long stemmed red roses artfully and tastefully done- it was 59 bucks ($64 incl. tax).
I gave her $70 and said to keep the change, and she's so nice
that she didn't want to take it- but I insisted.
The look on my mom's face once she gets a load of this will
be worth it.

What up y'all! I'm here to tell you about the best kept secret in Mira Mesa when it comes to flowers...Timeless Blossoms!
First off if your flower buying experience has only been from a supermarket, shame on you. (I was one of those people!) At Timeless Blossoms you get fresh flowers, arranged in a real creative way...you'd never see these types of bouquets at a place called Ralph's.
The shop is really cool on the inside, and the designer, Chanel, listens to what you want and makes it from scratch right there on the spot while you kick back on the sofa. (Now what supermarket has a sofa?) Another cool thing I discovered (on my second purchase) was that Timeless Blossoms delivers in the Mira Mesa and surrounding areas. So right before Mother's Day, you can preorder, then pick it up and it'll be ready to go.
It's a mom and pop business that has personality, service, and care. Not like the mass produced crap that gets rung up at the supermarket by someone who knows nothing about flowers. Try it out - you won't be disappointed! -

Chanel is wonderful. I called from Austin, TX and ordered flowers to be sent to a hotel in Del Mar. She created the most perfect arrangement and delivered it just when she said she would.

I just received the MOST BEAUTIFUL arrangement from my boyfriend for our anniversary. I absolutely LOVED it. It's Gorgeous and unique and special and totally made for ME! He told me that he picked it up from this place based on reviews on yelp and I just had to confirm as a recipient of flowers from here that it is 5 stars all the way. He told the florist what my favorite flowers were and the result is amazing. My hunnie made me feel so special with these flowers and knowing he took part in designing it (as opposed to going to a grocery store for some pre-made arrangement) melts my heart. He did a very good job going here and thank you Yelpers for your reviews!

I've been getting my wife flowers every few months since we've been married. The hardest part is finding a florist who can get the job done right. This is the FIRST florist I have found who does a good job, delivers on time, and gives me what I order (and then some). The other florists skimp on the flowers, deliver at the end of the day (which sucks if it is for a special day like a birthday or anniversary, because then your wife is thinking you forgot all day), or just plain screw it up. Take it from me, don't waste your time with the other florists, start where I ended up.

Wow - who would have thought. I have driven pass this little flower shop many times and never thought to go in until I found out that my other old faithful flower shop closed. Chanel is so wonderful, great customer service and beautiful flowers.

I'm from MI and have family in San Diego. My sister in law was in the hospital and I needed to find a florist near her to send flowers. Not only were they beautiful but were delivered very quickly! Come to find out the sweet girl I placed the order with had her own tie with the Detroit area!! Small world! She really took care of me being so far away and would def use her again!!!

Well I am the sister in law of the girl from MI who recieved the beautiful flowers from Chanel. So upon Amy's rave review, I decided to go to her for small centerpieces for a brunch I was hosting...One of my best decisions! Chanel invited me to sit while we chatted about what I was looking for. I had a specific color scheme and wanted hydrangeas and she designed the arrangement from there. She was so personable and friendly. I feel as though I've known her for ever. Her prices were incredibly reasonable and her designs unique. The centerpieces really impressed my guests! And me! Chanel is so cute and fun. You should definately go check her shop out!
