Review from Elson L.

I am not a customer. I never even set foot in this store before.
I called 9 comic book stores near my place to ask for a sonic screwdriver replica because I kind of need it soon. None of the stores carries it. They are all politely said no. But this store is different. The guy I spoke with on the phone actually went a step beyond and asked me if I am in the bay area. He told me that there is a convention this saturday at the fairground and I might be able to find one here.
So even though I have no idea what this store is like. I am giving a 5 stars for effort. -

Great place and the toy show that Time Tunnel has 3 times per year is awesome! Way to go and support local comic con shows!! We need more of them !

This shop has so many old toys from your childhood, its fun to browse and reminisce. I've been here maybe 5 times, but I have never bought anything. They go to trade shows which I want to check out one day. If you are looking for some old toys that are still in new or good condition, check this place out.
The workers are friendly and if you are looking for a specific toy that they dont have, they'll try and help you find it. The shop is small and old and has that vintage smell to it. I hope this place never closes. -

Wow, this place is a blast from the past!
I stepped in today and couldn't believe all the cool stuff they have. All types of toys and action figures from when I was a kid including Masters of the Universe (MOTU), GI JOE, Star Wars, M.u.s.c.l.e figures, battle beasts, and way more!
I ended up purchasing some 80s toys from when I was a kid. Its remarkable that you could find stuff like this outside of ebay nowadays, especially at those prices. Prices were very fair, comparable to ebay.
Everything is displayed in shelves with glass. Really, it feels more like a museum than a store. They've taken great care to display everything just right.
The only downside that I see is that they have mostly everything under lock and key, so you need to ask for assistance to view the collectibles. I'm sure this is to prevent theft, I just wished they're was a better way to check everything out quicker. I imagine it can get crazy with more than 3 shoppers.
I'll be coming here often. -

I am not a collector, but I told a friend who is a collector about this place and she is orgasmic about all the cool stuff in here. Got a thing for Pez dispensers? Got em. Old GI Joes? Yes! Star Wars, Star Trek? Out of this world. And of course they have Godzilla and all his pals.
Bring your cash or credit cards, the collectibles are irresistible. -

This place is great!!..they have an awesome selection of vintage toys and memorabilia.....every time i go i have to be careful not to spend too much money in there.
The prices aren't cheap nor expensive, i think they are pretty fair for the kind of good they have.
Excellent Place to find your oldest Childhood memory. -

If you're looking for a vintage or hard-to-find toy then this is the place to go. The majority of toys sold here is under consignment and offers a variety of toys released in the past ranging from Hot Wheels, Star Wars, G.I. Joe, original Transformers, The Simpsons. They also have vintage vinyl, rare and hard to fin pins from Disney and the likes.
Even if you're not planning to buy, it's a cool place to look at vintage toys. Every time I visit, it brings me back to when I used to wake up early on Saturday morning just get my cartoon fix. -

They have quite a fun collection of vintage toys, posters, vinyl records, pins, cards, magazines, etc.
Half of the items are things I never even knew existed! (but was very glad to discover) The rest are items that I grew up with or heard about but never actually saw.
Only downfall? Extremely expensive. (easily $80+ for a small figure/toy).
If you're looking for a vinyl record-go next door to Big Al's Record Barn....you can probably find a record CHEAPER and easier there.Listed in: Born to Shop

I make it a point to hit up Time Tunnel whenever I'm in the south bay. Like Comic Ink (Dublin), Toy Fusion (Sacramento) and Kimono My House (Emeryville) to the north it's full of good old toy nostalgia goodness and top notch customer service. These are the stores I hold in highest regard and if you're a toy junkie like me there's no real need to hit up any other places.

Review from Jay A.
After many years of passing by this place to hit up Streetlight records, I finally dropped by. I was MESMERIZED by everything they had. Garbage Pail Kids, Pez Dispensers, Comic Books, Wacky Packages etc. It's seriously an amazing place. My brain EXPLODED, and I was seriously trying to piece everything back together again while I scanned and stared at every item. So much random stuff, so many childhood memories.
If your ever in the area, you NEED to visit this place. -

If you're a vintage toy junkie or want to hop back in time and rekindle your childhood memories, this is the place to go.
They have toys locked up in glass cabinets aching for you to buy them. Actually, you'll be the one aching to buy the toys. Being "vintage" and all, the toys are a bit pricey. Most of the time I just go in there to drool and stare at the toys I used to play with and the toys I wish i used to play with.
They've also got old school B movie posters, vinyl, and cardboard cutouts. -

When I am in need of a G1 Transformer for the hubby's birthday, I can always count on finding one here. The prices are comparable to Ebay, if not better. You can always look around and reminisce about your childhood without being pressured or bothered to buy something. This is one of the few stores, besides TRU, that even my seven year old enjoys.

Time Tunnel is an awesome place to find collectibles, both from your childhood and today! Star Wars, G.I. JOE, Transformers, superheroes, Barbies, My Little Pony, Micronauts... I am sure there are some toys they don't have there, but I don't know what they are. From what I understand it's a consignment-type store, so the inventory is constantly changing. Because of the consignment thing, the prices vary greatly. The staff there is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the product. I urge everyone to check them out. If you are a geek or just shopping for one, I guarantee you will find what you are looking for here!

so i have been shopping at the time tunnel since 1993-ish when they were across the street in the space that was only slightly larger than a handicapped bathroom. admittedly, in the world of toys and vintage collectibles i'm more of a looky-loo than a serious collector, yet somehow i always find something there that will haunt me for years to come if i don't buy it. a KISS trash can, a mint blythe doll (a solid decade before her resurrection), a lucite toilet seat encasing hypodermic needles and pills....oh why did i walk away from you? despite all the ones that got away, i've gotten many treasures to covet and horde, courtesy of joe and sharon (aka mr and mrs time tunnel). i hold them personally responsible for my addiction to sad-eyed kids and pity critters of all types and give them credit for educating me in the intricacies of godzilla and 1950's pin-up queens, among other things.
stop in and gawk, they won't mind. but be sure you have a little extra time to burn because once you're in, you might not want to leave.
ps - i totally agree with jinxi, their glass is super clean...feels like no glass!
