Very good pho and the prices are reasonable.
Got the beef and the tofu. Both very very nice. Spring rolls were fresh and tasty too.
I would go back for sure.
The broth is ok. The beef is ok, though the tai portion in pho tai gan was a little light. The noodles are the best I've ever had in pho. They were slightly thicker and had a somewhat grainy and al dente texture; they're wonderful.
Instead of bringing a condiment plate to the table with not as much of some things and too much of other things, they have a condiment bar where you can get exactly as much of the sprouts, limes, basil, etc. as you want, which is pretty awesome.
Even though it's good, I wouldn't go all the way to Magnolia just for the pho. If you're already in the area for some reason though, you should definitely try it out.
as a pho lover, i was delighted to find a pho joint one block from where i just moved. i was also delighted that it didn't suck.
I've eaten beef pho here twice.
the first time the broth was piping hot (like i like it) but not very flavorful but still good enough that i returned.
the second time the broth was just warm. not even hot enough to cook the rare beef all the way. however, it was very flavorful.
it definately is good enough to give me my pho fix.
i will go back for sure hoping to have piping hot AND flavorful broth at the same time.
Out of... thyme?
Time 4 Pho does things a bit differently from the standard ID pho slinger. The space is clean, including an oddly spacious, naturally lit bathroom, and they have opted for counter service instead of the standard "streamlined" table service and offer several other options from bun to spring rolls. Business-wise, 4 forms of fiscal responsibility:
- A cashier sporting an Azteca T-Shirt, rather than branded gear sporting "T4P"
- A condiment bar for herbs, onions, sprouts and sauces, to take only what is needed
- Charging ~$7 for a large bowl of veggie pho (available with veggie or chicken broth)
- An easily cleaned unfinished (concrete?) floor that cheaply provides aesthetic contrast
They are trying really hard to be a cut above their competition, 4 sure. This makes me feel slightly guilty for saying the following, but as an omnivore, despite the breadth of vegetables, on strength of savory taste and value I like the veggie pho with mushrooms and tofu at the ubiquitous, cheaper, shadier, and more corporate Than Brothers better.
Atmospherically, for an obligatory morning after hangover cure brunch with a high maintenance partner or introducing one's rigid homegrown American family to pho, it is time a quick Vietnamese restaurant delivered. Otherwise, it's time... 2 go elsewhere.
This is the best tasting pho I've had since I moved to Seattle. Thumbs up for the utter spotlessness and radiant cleanliness of Time 4 Pho and being able to see your dish being made. The other pho places I have tried on University Ave. and Aurora don't look conspicuously cockroach-y... but it's a possibility that they might be on a covert basis.
Like the other reviewers said, there is a mini-condiment bar here where you can load up your plate with as much as you like of bean sprouts, cilantro, lime, jalapenos, basil, and thinly-sliced onions. As an avid citrus lover, no longer do I have to feel silly asking a waitress for another 1/8 piece of lime for my soup. The ingredients are fresh, and it's cool to be able to customize pho to your taste. There are more than a few veggie options, and unlike pho which turns into an opaque, soggy noodle broth glop in the end, I ended up finishing the entire bowl of tasty, fresh broth and noodles. After spending last night into the wee hours yesterday in a loud, smoke-filled warehouse, this soup was awesome.
The only thing could knock off a star for is that either I was too bleary to find where you serve yourself water, or there is none? Good thing I didn't accidently bite into a jalapeno while I was eating... I would've been SOL.
Just went back and tried their tofu with vermicelli noodles. YUM!!! Comes with a bunch of fresh, crisp veggies (lettuce, carrots, mint, basil) and loads of tofu. Was perfect during the heat wave!

Having grown up in Magnolia, it's about time that there were some options besides Chinooks and Szmanias!
I really like this place. It's extremely casual and comforting on those cold rainy days. My sister and I go here all the time when I come to visit. The service is excellent, the place is clean. I always get the spring rolls and beef pho, and always leave fully satisfied.
Is there better Pho on earth? Yes.
Is this really really good Pho. Yes.
Does the amount of crap you can put into the Pho matter? Yes.
But .. do the noodles matter? Yes they do and Time 4 Pho has really good noodles.
While one can cross the bridge into Ballard and go to Than Brothers - Than Brothers is surly and their noodles are horrific.
Time 4 Pho is also within walking distance of my house which makes it a god send.
The Time 4 Pho owners are so sweet you could spread them on toast. And they make a bitchin salty lemonade.
Time 4 Pho is also family friendly. It's just called Time 4 Pho.
Not "Pho King" or "Pho Cough" or "Pho Queue" or anything you'd have to explain to your kids is just a joke but it's not one you should repeat.
Time 4 Pho is honest Pho. Their tendon is probably the best I've had actually - they seem to take some care in the quality of their ingredients.
Lastly, Time 4 Pho is clean, comfortable and worthy of your attention.
And, I've decided that I really like what Yelp says about 4 stars. The little thing says 3 is "A-OK" and 4 is "Yay! I'm a fan." Well, Yay, I'm a fan of Time 4 Pho.
Mmmmm pho! I love it. And this place serves up a mean, steaming bowl of it. Delish. I got the pho gai (chicken) and was happy to see a "condiment bar" for all my extras, like parsley and basil. Mmmm.
The broth was divine. Yes, I've had better pho, but only at an authentic pho restaurant in Oklahoma City. This one is a very, very, very close runner-up.
Yeah, the name is kind of silly, but I suppose it works for mainstream hungry bellies looking for a good "noddle soup." I would definitely go back!
Good food, good service, and great location! Can't go wrong with any of that.
Love the fact that you can add as many condiments as one desires. Highly reccommended and well worth the dollar or two more than to head to Ballard.
Hi - if you have any food allergies I'd avoid them . I called to find out what was in their fish sauce and the answer was "I don't know I don't make it". I asked again if he could find out if there was wheat in it and he said he didn't make it so he didnt know. We're sorry we can't go back there anymore (I was just diagnosed with food allergies) because the food is great. I wish they were more accomodating.
This is the closest pho spot near my house so I decided to give it a try.
I'm Vietnamese so I've been eating pho since I was a tiny little boy growing up in Ohio. The only way to get some pho was to drive to Cleveland an hour away or eat my mom's delicious bowls. If there is any dish where I can say "I KNOW what is good and what isn't", it's pho. I've eaten pho for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Vietnam many days in a row and never got tired of it, nor will I ever because I could probably do it in Seattle too. Although, $6-8 for a good bowl here makes me cry a little bit inside remembering that a bowl in Vietnam was about 70 cents and was way better than anything I've ever had in the States.s
The first thing I noticed about T4P is that it's extremely clean and and nice. I've been so used to ramshackle pho restaurants where the eating environment isn't much better than dining in a dry cleaners. It impressed me. There was no wierd smell or loud annoying Vietnamese music playing. It was refreshing indeed.
I ordered a large pho tai and it came relatively quick to my table. It's sort of wierd for me to recieve a bowl with just broth, noodles and beef. I realize the condiment bar is supposed to be a cool thing, but I like having certain "condiments" as ingredients, and they should be considering that is the traditional way of serving pho. Having to go over to the condiment bar from my table and stand there while using tongs to put stuff on a dish was indeed a minor annoyance.
The broth is very good and tasty, no grittiness or real oily-ness that a lot of pho broths have. The amount of beef they give you, and this is the LARGE bowl mind you, is laughable. It was basically about two to three ounces of thinly cut beef, but it is of high quality, very tender and tasty. I am not a pho Nazi, but I cannot stand getting tiny amounts of meat. The noodles were OK, I'm just going to nitpick again and say that I get bummed when the noodles are just a tightly packed brick-like formation that you have to split apart and move around with your chopsticks. I gotta be honest and say for $7 it was disappointing, but the trade-off is that it's so close to where I live so I guess I just have to deal. I also had a WTF moment when I realized that the CAN of Yeo's Soy Bean Drink was $2.50. Really?? I know beverage prices are always inflated but c'mon, $2.50 for a can you can get for 50 cents at Ranch 99? Would you pay $3 for a can of Coke? No way.
I definitely can see the appeal of this place for the Magnolian just wanting a simple hot bowl of pho in a pleasant environment, but for a pho purist it leaves a lot to be desired. I have to remember one thing my mom said "Don't eat Vietnamese food not made by Vietnamese." That statement may seem narrow-minded but I believe it. I wouldn't expect my mom to make some spectacular traditional Korean dishes, so I shouldn't expect Koreans to make a fantastic version of a Vietnames staple. It is was it is. If you're in Magnolia and you feel like pho, there is nothing wrong with eating here. For people that don't live in this neighborhood, don't waste your time. Than Brothers, Pho Bac, and even Pho Tai would be a better way to satiate the pho hunger pangs.
Our office loves pho but usually has to head across the Ballard bridge to get it. This was our first time trying Time 4 Pho, and we were impressed. We tried their rare steak, chicken and veggie/tofu soup.
The dining room is clean and has 2 large TVs. The service is friendly and fast enough. They have a self-serve bar for the extra goodies like cilantro, jalepenos, sprouts, etc.
Finally -- good pho in Magnolia/Interbay!
We will definitely be going there again.
When you want Pho, where do you go......TIme 4 Pho!
When you want Fun, where do you run...TIme 4 Pho!
This could be the theme song. Seriously bad name, seriously good Pho. I loved it. The price was great, and the food fresh, and I even took out an order for someone with no problems. I highly recommend this local neighborhood place, on a cool Seattle day. It's super fast and great food.
The only reason that I didn't rate Time 4 Pho with 5 stars was because they weren't open on Sunday. Now they are. Sunday pho starts at 11 am. Woooot!

I was at Time 4 Pho yesterday and a lady at the condiment bar told me it was her first time and that… Read more »
I wanted to like Time 4 Pho. Two friends live nearby and had been raving about it. So much so that they managed to get me in on a sunny Seattle day. Not exactly Pho weather.
Then, the unthinkable happens. We get there and I ask what they're having and they tell me, "Teriyaki chicken." What?!?! You take me to this Pho place and you haven't even had the Pho?!? I'm speechless.
So, I stick to my guns and get the Pho. Beef brisket. My experience matched up with most of those previous reviews. It was a bit more expensive, and a bit slower than some of the other places. But with a bit nicer furnishings. The Pho was, unfortunately, about the same.
I did like the vegetable bar. The ability to add ridiculous amounts of sprouts and green onions was great. But the noodles and broth are your base, and the base was just another bowl of Pho.
Donna O likes it, so I like it too! I really enjoying putting as much cilantro, green onions and mint in my pho as I want. The soup is sub-par, but the spring rolls and sauce are fab-u-lous! The place is usually quiet also, which is a plus after recovering from a hang over from the night before.
Finally! I've been walking by their "Coming Soon" sign for so long, and at last the time has come.
I went there when they opened on Monday (3/31), and grabbed some takeout. We each had the Bo Tai and an order of chicken vermicelli to share (I intended to have leftovers, but those plans were foiled by my husband leaving it out overnight and the cat eating all the remaining chicken - he gave it two paws up, though). The Pho was good - the portions were a bit smaller for the price than someplace like Than Brothers, but the flavors were good. The chicken vermicelli was very tasty - the chicken was delicious and the cold noodles were refreshing. The inside of the restaurant is super cute - they have some walls painted a bright cheerful green, with matching chopsticks at the table. The fixings for the Pho are in a little buffet, and you can take what you want (the gave me a little baggie to load up for my takeout).
The food was a little slow, but they were very nice and I am going to assume they're still getting the kinks out for opening day (and I'll probably call ahead next time, now that I have a menu). I would definitely eat in, too - the restaurant is way nicer inside than your typical hole in the wall pho joint (not that I'm knocking holes in the wall, but a little pleasing decor never hurts).
Super bonus points for taking plastic - I never carry cash, and am always annoyed by having to go to the bank just to get takeout.
UPDATE: Had takeout again, and ate in the restaurant once. Chicken teriyaki is really good. Service is still super friendly. Bumping up to 5 stars.
This place is da bomb!!! I couldnt wait for this place to open and when they did, they did not dissapoint. The pho is the the bees knees. I love the condiment bar, some places get stingy with that stuff. The eggrolls are awesome too. My boyfriend loves them! I have had the pho tai several times now, and its so good. I love how they slice the meat really thinly. Some places it is too thick and I like it to be more tender. I have also tried the teriyaki and beef short ribs, both very good. Service was quick and friendly.
Two thumbs up for this place.
This place is great. The owners are doing a great job making this new restaurant successful. They are friendly and make GREAT food. Im not ussually in the mood for Pho (I know, I know, it's good stuff but Im not often in a soup kind of mood) but their short ribs are deeeeeeeeeelicious. The spring rolls are awesome, too. I want to know what kind of Hoisen sauce they use, they put it in used Siracha bottles so I dont know but it is awesome!
Nothing better in my book than short ribs and spring rolls with a mexican bottled-coke (they have 'em, and I love 'em!). That'll run you about $17 so not super cheap, but the Pho is standard affordable Pho prices.
I love Vietnamese food so was happy to hear a pho place had recently opened up near my parents' place in Magnolia. The pho (soup especially) here is really good, but what's uniquely cool about this place is that you can serve up your own veggies (cilantro, thai basil, limes, sprouts, green onions) adding as little or as much as you want. They have teriyaki bowl itms too for non-pho people. They were packed at lunch on Friday and with what looked like 1 cook, there was a bit of a wait. But the pho was well worth it.
I like Vietnamese food, but I don't like pho. Actually, I hate it. That combination of flavors and textures in soup form are completely unappetizing to me. This isn't a review about how Time 4 Pho converted me, because it didn't. However, I do like banh, and Time 4 Pho's banh is very good. The restaurant is clean, the service is prompt, and the prices are okay. Like every other restaurant in Magnolia, it's good, but not great.
i am so glad these guys are here. good pho, clean and local... they're keeping me and my girl alive. the wait can be a little longer than other pho joints, and they tend to run out of things late into the evening, but i can't fault them for that... they're little and indie, and i'd rather go to a place that cycles a lot of food through, instead of a place that has a massive 10 day stockpile of unfreshness. time for pho is fresh.
oh yeah, the serve yerself bar gets a lot of attention in the rest of the reviews, and i'm all about it myself. it brings a bit of a korean barbecue element to it, and i love that. but i think the pho itself is really good, the chicken is thinly sliced, it's light and simple. i've tried a couple of their beverage concoctions, and they were way too something (strong, sweet, or something else) for me, but i'm sure they make other people happy. oh, and it's nice to be able to watch sportscenter and eat a quick meal.
oh, and they are WAY nicer than the than brothers people. it's a magnolia winner.
This just opened in my 'hood, and another friend of mine kept raving about it, so I've checked it out a couple of times. I have to say I haven't yet tried the pho, it's just not one of my favorite dishes. But they have these vermicelli noodle bowls that I just LOVE. You get a large portion of food, all of the accompanying vegetables are fresh, and the egg rolls are delicious. So nice to have another option for good food nearby.
We've been twice, now - and both times have had the vegetarian pho with tofu. The broth is flavorful and delicious - salty, just the way I like it. The prices are decent enough and the condiment bar is a fantastic idea for those of us who are picky about what we put into our dish. I love that I can pile on the bean sprouts but leave the leafy greens for someone who will appreciate them. I look forward to many more trips and the opportunity to try items from the rest of the menu.
The atmosphere is clean and crisp. There are two large televisions sets, both times showing the golf channel.
Service is friendly, though they aren't as fast as other pho joints I've been to, but they also have only one person working the kitchen, so I can understand if that's the reason for it.
Overall, I thought the food was quality and would definitely head back again. It's nice to have another restaurant option in Magnolia.
Also noteworthy: they accept credit cards.
I love this restaurant!! They have the best vegetarian Pho in town. I like the topping bar and that I can take as much as I want and don't have to share the basil or bean sprouts with anyone like at most Pho places. I would recommend this place to anyone. I'm so happy that it's open on Sunday now.
Not the best tasting Pho around, but some of the fastest, and most easily customizable with their unique sides bar where you can take whatever you want, and have many more options than just about anywhere else in town. Good stuff, a great place for lunch.
This place is in the plaza where i work so it's super easy to run over there and grab some food. they're always quick and friendly and will even walk it over to us on a busy day. my asian husband orders something every week for dinner. we suggest the vermacilli or the pho.
