TImbercreek is great course for golfers of all levels.

Just off of the Gulf Freeway/45 South, turn right onto 2094. About 5 miles down, across from Clear Brook High School, hang a right and there you are!

Walk -ons are not a problem though whenever possible I call and reserve a tee time. It's better for you and the course.

At Timbercreek, you have 27 holes to play (3 courses of nine) and they never get old. The course is beautifully maintained with a lighted driving range.

Nice long fairways with a couple of doglegs to keep it interesting. No cutesy, funky holes or greens that are too huge. Just a straight up 'hit it and get it' course.

Pro shop staff is friendly and helpful. Need a lesson? Ask for Billy Stokes, the teaching pro. He tells you what you need to hear and doesn't blow smoke up your golf skirt like those pros who tell you each shot is, "Great" "Terrific" "Nice" when you hit it like crap.

The 19th hole is fun with Jean at the bar. They make a great burger, tortilla soup and be sure to check the special of the day.

Green fees are fair for such a good course. There are twilight and weekday specials. Course is kept in good shape which means repair your own divots and use good course etiquette!

Most of the golfers know what they're doing though you get the occasional goober who doesn't know how to let others play through and takes a mulligan on every hole but you get that at River Oaks or Houston Country Club too.

Now that the weather is perfect, you need to go. Oh, and watch out for the thievin' squirrels! They will sneak into your cart and steal your unwrapped candy bar but they look so cute doing it!
