Bryan's review is pretty accurate, but I give Tilt one more star because the store clerk let me have a free play on the DDR machine to test it out - and indeed, the right arrow on the left side is in pretty bad shape.

Overall, the arcade doesn't have "it." Unfortunately, many arcades are losing "it" with console and PC gaming taking over the multiplayer gaming scene, which makes me sad : (

/sigh

For your average arcade it does a decent job. You walk in and see your fighters in the middle. You see your money stealers in a corner. You see your DDR in the glass so people can make fun of you while attempting to do robot dances. But for the most part it's filled with mediocrity and even at that point there really isn't anyone to really compete with. The death of the Arcade is ever present at this one and it's amazing that it's even in the mall and keeping up enough to stay in the mall. I was slightly excited to see DrumMania to only find that one of the drums (the green tom tom) is broken and completely makes the game useless. But instead of telling you that it's out of order they let you put your change in and stumble through playing a game of it before you can figure it out. The DDR and Pump it Up are back to back to each other and thats ok. You're still next to glass where everyone walks by and thinks how weird you look while you sweat and do the whole mall rave thing. The Pads themselves felt unresponsive but worked barely. The fighters actually are in good shape. They had about every variation of Capcom Vs. SNK and Marvel Vs. Capcom. Thats a good thing actually. The controllers felt right and it was all original cabinets. No mother board swapping going on here. To be honest I'm not sure they would know how to do that anyways seeing how the DDR pads are in such bad shape (and to fix that usually requires the same procedure). I still go to Tilt about every other day. If only to waste a couple of dollars on trying to win a Wii or a 360 in the MAJOR PRIZE stacking game. But they have some work to do to really shine. Right now it's just another arcade like any arcade in america and it really sucks. It's sad that a big part of the Gaming world has been reduced to this.
