Tillandsia International

Dealing with unprofessional people who said they will do something and turn out they do the complete opposite should be considered when dealing with. Here is the rude email from Frank Messina who tells it as it is. No gray area for compromise, it's my way or the highway attitude that prompted me to write this negative review.
This email is what I received from the person I was dealing with to get my order out as requested

Dear Michael :

We added the specimens to your order and aim to ship late this week or early next week. Your invoice with additions is attached.

This is the email I received from TI after my shipment was shipped on Thursday even when I asked that we will be having a three day week end and package will arrive later than five days - This package was deliberately shipped when asked to delay shipment for the following week

This is Frank the owner. We are extremely busy and will get the plants out when we can.
I am tired of hearing you whine and complain. If you don't like our service, move on.
If you continue to be disagreeable and sarcastic you will be refused service.

How would you feel when given these variables after confirming your order and then having it changed without informing you of any changes. Especially when you're spending $6,000 worth of plants, tell me you won't get a little upset.

You decide, Tillandsia International is just poor business people to deal with.

My first order with this company turned out very disappointed. The air plants I received completely not the advertised sizes. The assistant greenhouse manager, Patrick Tachella, responded to my email that he packed my order so it must be correct even I have all the pictures to prove that the air plants are under the advertised sizes. The option that I have is to send back at my own cost and ship out at my own cost as well so it'll cost me more than $200 to ship back and forth. It's clearly it's not my fault when he made a mistake that, of course, he is not going to admit since it may cost him his job. It's bs that he claimed the plants got smaller during 2 day shipping.
The owner Frank Messina is the one that keeps FB message me and said I keep whining. He does not want people complain about his business. He's the one with the attitude.
The air plants are not at the best quality either. Just because this company carries more species than others so there's more customers not to speak up. The T. Xerographica is not at the best shapes or at the advertised sizes. There are broken leaves, dried up leaves and so much dirt. Most of the plants on the price list have no size so you don't know what you get. Even you don't get the correct ones, do not complain or get the cold treatment and lovely email from the owner Frank Messina that you can file a lawsuit for character defamation. I would not place my order if I read the review from Michael M.

They do an amazing job of receiving my orders and making wonderful substitutions (optional) if they see necessary; they always do a wonderful job selecting the most beautiful healthy plants.
They've been growing Tillandsia, I believe since 1977 and provide an exquisite quality; their expertise in the business really shows.
Orders placed are processed swiftly and delivered often in just a couple days; they are diligent and quick!
This company is easy to contact via email, or by calling them direct.  (I process orders all day every day; and this isn't always the case with some companies)
Tillandsia Internationals staff are wonderful, kind, resourceful people and their company delivers some of the most beautiful Tillandsia you've ever seen.
I have a fantastic relationship with this company and continue to receive only the best!

My experience has been very positive: great quality plants, quick shipping. The only downside is the ordering process/the way the website is set up makes placing an order a time-consuming process. Despite that, I still give a thumbs up because my orders have always been sent quickly and Paula the manager is very efficient.
