Really, three and a half stars.  Yes, this is a hotel restaurant and most of the patrons are here with vouchers, but they do try a little harder than most.  We had the breakfast buffet.  The fruit was five star -- delicious watermelon and cantaloupe and, of course, pineapple.  The croissants where manufactured, but they will make fresh toast if you ask.  What sets this apart from many buffets are the hot selections -- Maui onion quiche, mahimahi, pancakes, and fresh cooked eggs, even if you want scrambled eggs.  There is nothing I like better for breakfast than fish and rice!  The bacon was outstanding also.  For a buffet, the service was good.  Our plates were cleared quickly and no dishes were left empty on the buffet tables.  Our biggest disappointment was the lack of tikis.  Yes, there is a very nice huge black tiki by the bar, but when you are going for tiki decor, you can never have too many.

My girlfriend and I wanted to go to a somewhat romantic location that would have a view overlooking the ocean. And the tiki lounge dis in fact have an awesome view. We got to sit upstairs and you literally are hanging over the ocean. The food was not good. We got an ahi sandwich and it was over cooked, and my girlfriend got fish tacos which barely ha any fish at all and was swamped in onions, souls have been called "onion" tacos. Our server was nice and all she recommended was the Mai tai's as they supposedly have the best.

For a Friday night the place was totally empty, probably because all the smart folks where eating at Kimos next door which is amazing.

Over all not a great place, they have a killer location and that's it, the food is not good and waay overpriced. Our bill was 98.00 for fish tacos, ahi sandwich, 2 drinks and an appetizer. I would not go back and would not recommend it to a friend, other than yo go grab a drink at happy hour and watch the sunset
