My family really like's this place. They have a good Sunday Brunch with lots of choices, fresh yummy fruit and made to order omelets. And if you get there close to 11:00 am you can have breakfast and lunch for brunch! The salads are really, really good! They serve a lot of homestyle cooking that I'd like to try. Nice atmosphere too. And if you visit, read the history of the place, it's quite interesting.

This restaurant in Lake Dallas has been around for, like, a gazillion years, and I don't think they've bought as much as a new chair since the day they opened.   But there was a day when they had the best fried catfish anywhere, and we were pretty loyal customers.  Then the family sold the restaurant, and things were never the same after that.  We heard recently that the restaurant had sold again and had gone back to the way it used to be.  So we decided to give it a try again last night.  There must be two Duck Inns in Lake Dallas because this certainly can't be the one they were talking about!  Gone is the "All the catfish you can eat" buffet which was the best part of the whole place.  My catfish wasn't fried as well as I like it and rather soggy. My husband's crab was very good although it took him most of the evening to get through all of it.  If you want to give it a try, be sure to ask for "very crispy" catfish - some people who came in after us did, and theirs looked very good.  Wish I had heard them first!
