My experience with the Ti Couz savory crepes has been good.  Not great. I really like the buckwheat.  In the past week, Ti Couz has really gained some street cred in my mouth.  Last weekend Chopper was in town and his wifey and I went to TC for bloody mary's and a charcuterie plate.  The BM were super spicy and good.  And i loved the terrines on the charcuterie plate.  We did need a better knife to cut one of the sausages.  Then, this morning i went to TC for crepes with AT.  Her ham cheese and tomato lacked some kinda love that would have made it great.  Kinda rubbery ham, and not the best type of cheese (grueyre).  My sausage and onions was much better.  Spicy sausage and tangy sweet onions.  But the real coup de gras was the sweet crepe we had for dessert.  The lemon honey sweet crepe was superb.  Super tangy, slightly sweet, extra yummy when smeared with the generous dollop of whipped cream included.

Note to self: return for sweet crepes.

Seriously? Overall 4 stars?  I've always seen this place when I've been driving around the mission to go elsewhere, and randomly enough the boy suggested getting crepes for a late lunch today.  I always thought it was a Greek place based on the outside decor?

We found "rockstar" parking right in front on a Saturday and didn't have to wait more than a few minutes before getting seated.  The only thing was that a table outside cleared up right as we were walking in, and the hostess didn't even offer the table..and instead sat us indoors.

I had the ham, egg, and cheese crepe which was so-so.  Nothing special.  The boy got the sausage tomato which he enjoyed, and we shared the apple, caramel, and ice cream for dessert which was quite yummy.

I agree about the service - took forever to take our initial order as well as find someone to take our dessert order.  They sort of just seat you and then leave you there until you flag them down.

Dropped about $40 for the 3 crepes, would have much rather gone to another French place..say chez maman and gotten a delish meal.  Pass..

Yep. Service still stinks.

There is no host, you just put your name on a dry erase board and hope someone finds you. It's frustrating to speak to not a single human and hope for the best.

Once we were seated, we were asked, "bar or counter?" Um, how about a table? Had there been a host they would have known we'd have waited longer for a table.

Our server was wearing a black t-shirt and soccer shorts. Very casual attire--too casual--and he was rushed and somewhat curt. We had to stir our coffees with our forks. No spoons were given, not at first.

I asked about the cheese plate, since the selections change often, and our shorts-clad server said, "Oh, just miscellaneous. Whatever the chef wants you to have."

Ehhhh. Wrong answer. Go ask, please.

Cheese came out and he did manage to tell us what we were having. One cheese he said was, "goat cheese." Not exactly narrowing it down, I was glad I knew myself what I was eating.

This place has good food, don't get me wrong. But they need to tear down and start over in terms of service and making customers feel welcomed and wanted.

[Edited to add: I want desperately to click, "No" for "Is there waiter service?" on this Yelp review.]

The first time I went I really liked this place, but it was a bit disappointing the last time I went. I only like their caramelized onion/cheese crepe. The rest was mediocre. It's also frustrating when there's always a line at the place you go to, and they don't take reservations. I mean, ok, that's pretty standard in the city, but sometimes you just wanna go to a favorite place w/o having to wait in a line.

Ti Couz is one of those special and unique gems in San Francisco! Even with all the options out there, it stands out on its own as my go-to crepe place for the last decade.  Very French and funky, Ti Couz dishes out savory breton-style crepes made of buckwheat which are a bit different than many other creperies.  Darker and richer than standard flour crepes, they have a bit more depth and chew for the savory fillings.

The menu is long, varied and European, you can start off with a great cheese-charcuterie plate or salad and the crepes can be customized to your daily whims.  I usually go for a seafood crepe (scallops-shrimp) with seafood sauce.  While the crepe will cover a large plate, it's not too heavy so make sure you leave some room for dessert!  My sweet crepe faves are the orange butter or nutella versions.  Uhm, uhm, uhm, I'm always tempted to lick the plate but self-control and pride hold me back.  Ti Couz also has a full bar and a short list of interesting beers and drinks to choose from.

What really makes me happy about the place is the setting and service!  Lighting is dim and sultry, a nice casual spot for a date or start to the evening.  Ti Couz has a worn, cafe feel to it and the staff is typically quite eclectic but very good at what they do.  The place can get super busy at times but they handle their job with grace!  And they've got a handful of cool-ass tables on the sidewalk where you can watch the craziness on 16th street unfold.  You really can't go wrong with Ti Couz and they've been doing it well for many years. From the food to the service and the price, make sure y'all enjoy this special little creperie in the City!

Depending on the wait staff you can either get super snooty or super sweet! Lucky for us this time was super sweet.

Sat outside on a rare but warm Sunday afternoon. I got the La Delice (nutella, bananas and ice cream). It was beyond Delish!

I will go back to try a savory crepe.

I thought Ti Couz was quite alright, especially on a nice night sitting at a table out front, before a show at the Roxie. Quite nice, indeed.

I had a mushroom, cheese, and ham crepe. It was pretty tasty, though I would probably skip the mushroom sauce next time.  It made it a little too casserole-y feeling- the sauce was nothing like campbells or anything but still. Salad comes in a big bowl to share, with a nice citrusy vinagarette. One of us got a cheese/meat plate that was pretty fantastic. I tried the pate and some of the cheeses, and was pretty into it. I'd go back to Ti Couz!

A Frenchman introduced me to Ti Couz. He brought me here to try "real French crepes" (ie. NOT the vanilla crepes with icecream and mountains of whipped cream found in Japan Town). I'd had savory crepes before, but not the traditional buckwheat crepes of Brittany gulped down with dry French cider. This was truly good and a cultural experience.

Since then, I've returned several times. The atmosphere is warm and social. From the bar, you can watch chefs carefully pour batter onto round irons and carefully flip crepes. Pictures of people from Britanny in traditional costume decorate the walls.

Seating is a bit cozy during peak times, and you become aware exactly how close your table neighbors are when they order a flambe desert crepe ;)

The menu offers a variety of crepe toppings, including these delicious goodies:

Savory:
-Mushroom sauce
-Caramelized onions
-Sauteed almonds

Sweet:
-Nutella (who doesn't like Nutella? ;)
-Mixed berries (black, blue, & rasberry)

After being straight up denied at Monk's Kettle, my merry band of gorgeous and talented corporate ladder climbers marched our Marc Jacob's purses, Korres Lip Balm and Fredric Fekkai scented hair over to Ti Couz.

After ordering a round of pear cider, which is served in little wooden bowls (Quelle Chic!), we decided that we needed salty, the large cheese plate, and sweet, a banana nutella crepe with vanilla ice cream.

When they say large cheese plate, they mean large.  This cheese plate could have fed a small band of Romanian gypsies for days, or four starving to be pretty ladies for an hour, anyway.

All five hunks of cheese were tasty.  One was a little reminiscent of lavender face wash, in a bad way.  But if you ate it at the same time as you ate a piece of nectarine or pear it tasted like feet, in a good way.

The crepe was amazing.  But what has nutella on it and isn't amazing?  I would eat cardboard spread with nutella.  I would eat sweetbreads spread with nutella.  I would even eat the crap out of a giant plate of Rocky Mountain Oysters if they were spread with nutella.

No joke.  Rocky Mountain Oysters = balls, y'all.

Anyway.  What I'm saying is if you dress up a goat's balls in a nutella, it's still goat balls with a better condiment....

What am I actually saying???

I even lost me there.

Overall, the food was good.  Not great.  Just good.

Plus you get to sit outside and be harassed by the crazy that makes San Francisco all that it is.  A joyous experience.

The corporate whores were satiated and satisfied.  Until the new Kooba's come out anyway.

I miss the days where the waiters only spoke French to you, but this place is still AMAZING! When I was in high school, we used to get extra credit for eating here because the waiters generally only spoke
French. Now everyone generally speaks English.

Food: Absolutely delicious. I've ordered several different savory and dessert crepes over the years, and I've never had a bad experience.

My current favorite: Fromage et Jambon (cheese & ham) crepe. It's money.

Tab: I went here with my Dad and we each got 2 crepes and lots of fresh juice (no alcohol) - $32. I went recently with my sister, her bf, my bf, and his best friend. Alcohol galore and I think everyone got at least 1 crepe and a couple of extras to share - $185 including tip

Parking can be a pain, but seriously, it's San Francisco and is pretty much expected. I suggest taking muni and walking the 4ish blocks.

Who would have though a crepe can be this tasty and filling. When I think about crepes I always thing about the dessert kinds that isn't exactly a meal. This place is def different than places like crepevine.

I started with a small salad that was good enough to share between two people. Salad tasted fresh.

Now for the crepes. They look very thin but looks can be deceiving.

FYI you get to customize you crepe however you like. They charge by toppings. All crepes are wheat.

Salmon green onion crepe - omg! Taste very flavorful probably my favorite combo!!

Egg with mushroom sauce - not as great as the salmon but still pretty delicious. I love eggs btw

We were too stuffed to get dessert. This also might be from eating the complimentary French bread they serve.

Pricing is pretty affordable, around $10 a crepe.

Def a good place to get a somewhat light but filling dinner.

Years ago when I was visiting San Francisco, I asked former  colleague for advice about what to see and do.  I'd had a huge crush on her, so basically my inquiry was an excuse to chit chat with her on another social networking site which is now kind of a zombie version of Facebook (think zombie banks).

Anywho, her reccomendation: Ti Couz.  At the time it seemed like a brushoff, but hey, maybe  she really liked me because years later I've now discovered that Ti Couz is pretty awesome.

In San Francisco, crepe places are a dime a dozen, so I can't speak to Ti Couz's relative value but I can tell you I had one of the best crepes I've ever had;  Mushrooms, carmelized onions and cheese, inside a bubbly bubbly bubbly buckwheat pancake!

It was huge, so don't plan on following your savory crepe with a sweet one unless your'e really hungry, or if you bring someone along which is really a good idea.  They have champagne, and mimosas, and all that good stuff.

The cafe au lait is the best I've had in a very long time.  Also bubbly!

I really should have kept up that theme by getting some champagne.  If only I'd brought my old crush along.

This place is amazing.  I actually don't think this is a crepe.  It reminds me of something I had in Paris near Versailles called a gallete.  Each meal is about $8 to $10 and tastes good so I don't know why everyone shouldn't go here now.

Only thing is portions are slightly on the smaller side.

It's been a good while since I've been to Ti Couz and I had mixed feelings about going back again last night.  The last time I was there was a couple of years ago and I left with a "meh" feeling. I was pleasantly surprised last night with their nice selection of savory and dessert crepes.  Friends and I shared the ham, mushroom, and cheese crepe as well as the scallops and tomato.  For dessert, we had the nutella, banana, and whip cream crepe.  We didn't have to wait too long for a table of three on a Friday night.

Yipee.

I've never really liked breakfast, at least not American breakfast. Waffles, pancakes, and flapjacks, oh my...wait, I don't see the big deal. They're simply vehicles for people to shovel as much whipped cream and sugary fruits into their mouths while feeling good they're starting the day off right with breakfast.

I feel similarly about crepes. Tastes like nothing until you add a bunch of fruit and sugar. Kinda soggy, not that great. Just boring. Then I met a Ti Couz crepe. Oh my indeed.

We ended up here when it was too hot outside to wait 35 minutes for a table elsewhere. We sat at the wooden bar and I loved its design. Rather than a simple oblong rectangle with no elbow or plate room, it was oblong with tabletops that rounded out. Kinda like a bunch of individual tables connected together. Cozy, but with elbow room..

I ordered the complete (cheese, egg, and ham) crepe. Yum. Nice and crispy crepe. Flavorful. They even use nice cheese! We're guessing it's Emmentaler, a fancy schmancy Swiss cheese. The only problem was too much cheese. It sounds like a stupid complaint (e.g. "omg, the quesadilla is filled with cheese! the Chinese food has rice! ) but the flavor overwhelmed everything else.

I ordered my egg scrambled and the flavor was completely lost as it's a very thin layer of egg inside the crepe. I assume they scramble the egg and then pour it on top of the crepe. A didn't have this problem as he ordered sunny side up, plus an extra egg. So I recommend sunny side up if you like it.  I couldn't really taste the ham either. Plus side: despite the overabundance of cheese, it was not at all greasy. I still enjoyed eating it overall.

This restaurant has a green philosophy. Very green.  Their menu and various signage around the restaurant explains how. For example, they don't offer take out containers. If you want water, you need to order it as it takes two glasses of water for every glass you use etc. So this may not be the best place to eat for people who don't believe in global warming.  I like it and made a mental note to bring my own tupperware next time.

In short, I would definitely eat here again, minus the cheese.

I love crepes and I certainly LIKED these but there wasn't anything great about them. I mean other then I was hungry I did eat my crepe but I wasn't blown away. In fact I just thought they were okay. The wait was far too long for the mediocre crepes. I had there soup of the day and that was way better then the crepes. Isn't that awful. The service I will say was fast and my food did come out hot but that's not saying much because they are crepes...they are suppose to be fast and hot. Will I go back...maybe but I won't make it my first choice maybe my 3rd. For the price...not really worth it....

Ti Couz serves the BEST crepe which made from buckwheat folded in big flat squares.  Classic Breton recipes from its French owner. Woody and rustic interior and big tall windows, along with some fun sleeping pillows laying on the bench.

Their menu is written on the chalkboard above the bar, and could be overwhelming.  Try their savory scallops crepe that comes in abundant portion with lobster bisque sauce on top.  End with a luscious dessert crepe: White chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries that's taste just right (not too sweet).

Lunch on weekdays is only available on Monday and Friday, so plan ahead.  Just beware that you may not want to go back to work afterwards.

The crepes came out quickly, and tasted good, but I think I'm not used to this type of crepe. For 1, all the veggies were cooked (tomato- too strong, couldn't taste the onion, and cheese), I'm used to fresh veggie crepes. Not a big deal, still tasted good, but there is a creme fraise sauce, but you have to ask for it (made my crepe taste better).

The problems I had, was the menu is almost every ingredient a-la-carte, so it becomes really pricy quickly, and you don't know how much you are paying until the end. I highly recommend staying with their recommendations so you don't spend an extra $3-4 on onions which you can't taste like I did on my crepe.

Then, you have to ask for water (did you know for every cup of water you order, it takes 2 to clean it. conserve!!- menu).  And don't forget to ask for the creme-fraise for your crepe. Then, on top of that, they have a 5% surcharge for healthcare for employees. I think everyone should have healthcare, but it's so odd to pay a surcharge. The menu is already confusing with the prices, no water unless you ask, and not an additional surcharge?   So, I spend $40 on 4 crepes, but the bill is $50 (tax and healthcare- how did that happen unless the healthcare is taxed or vice versa??) Then I have to add tip (on the $40 or 50?- the tip looks puny when you put $6 on a total of $50, but it's still 15%.  I don't know, I felt nickel and dimed. And not very comfortable. The food is good but I feel so odd after leaving.

We went to Ti Couz in search of great dessert crepes. What we found were wet, soggy, oversized piles of ick.

From the chocolate/coconut/vanilla ice cream crepe to the plain 'ol Nutella with pears and the two in-between, we found nothing worth eating here.

None of our party could stomach the soggy food. Even the kids, who live for ice cream and chocolate, refused to eat another bite.

Disappointing, to say the least.

SAVORY OR SWEET?

My guardian angel whispered:  "It's dinner time. You need to eat substantial and healthy stuff such as tomatoes and shrimp. Plus everyone else is ordering savory."

The little devil said: "You are such a square. Think of the yummy sweet crepes to choose from--chocolate, hazelnut, orange, strawberries... Don't worry about the others."

The nice Catholic school girl that I was, I ordered Savory Tomato and Shrimp Crepe. I was presented with square  5x5   thin square pancake filled with baby shrimps drizzled with rich tomatoes and cream sauce. I was disappointed upon seeing my small crepe and thought I should have just been a bad girl and ordered the sweet crepe.

Then as soon as I took a bite, oh my gosh! Flavors maxxed a hundred times.  The shrimps were not fishy but fresh and the tomato sauce was just very flavorful!  The crepe was the right consistency--not dry.  The whole thing was just perfect and hit the spot.  Really delicious!

Then my friends asked, Sweet Crepes? I had my fingers crossed under the table. Please, please, I've been a very good girl. I ate my tomatoes. ...I was overjoyed  that we unanimously agreed to order  a Sweet Hazelnut Crepe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a candle on top for the birthday boy.  We all dug in and I got two bites of sweet nutella filled crepe and ice cream each.  I was a happy girl.

Moral of the story: Be good and you will be rewarded. Or you don't have to and you will still be rewarded.

Each crepe was less than $10. The ambiance was fun, casual, accomodating, dark and cozy. We all had a great time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RUSSELL!

Being a rookie here myself, I do not want you to make the mistake I did and come in looking lost. When you get in, head to the room on your right and sign up on the whiteboard to make your reservation.

On a late night date night w/ the bf we decided to head here for dessert. It's a pretty happening spot and even at 9 at night people were lining up for their savory crepes. We decided to forgo the wait and eat at the crepe bar.

So lets cut to the chase, we bought the cafe-licious(espresso, chocolate ice cream and chantilly) for 8.50, add a crispy crepe shell, 3.00, and strawberries 3.25 = overpriced, but delicious dessert.

Service was good and after sitting at the crepe bar, we definitely want to go back and try those savory crepes we so longing watched being made.

On yet another cruise through the mish to find lunch on a late Saturday afternoon, mutt in tow, we happened upon Ti Couz. We put our name in for a table outside (FYI, there's a list inside, we lost our place in the actual queue since didn't know this) and within 20 minutes or so we were sipping French Press Coffee.
Following the 7x7 guide, I had a cider with a Ham and Cheese buckwheat crepe. Made for the perfect afternoon, and a most delightful treat to enjoy in the sun. Glad I did it before I die. Husband had the Shrimp crepe and we really enjoyed the seafood sauce. fast service was a plus.

I got a ratatouille and cheese crepe here, which was huge and delicious. They stuffed a thin (but not too thin) buckwheat crepe with a good mix of fresh vegetables and just enough cheese to make it interesting. The mint lemonade was also very good. They give you lemon juice, freshly cut-up mint, and some ice in a glass, along with a bottle of simple syrup and a pitcher of water on the side. Since you mix your lemonade yourself, you end up with a drink that's just to your liking.

The outdoor seating screamed "please, please, please come sit and eat and chat and stay awhile (and ignore the fact that it's blustery and cold out here)," and so we did. My friends found little critters floating in their drinks after a while, though; that's pretty much a given with outdoor seating. Because there was so much mint in my drink, I couldn't tell if anything had fallen in it. If there was something... yay protein?

Not exactly a budget eatery, but a great spot for lunch nonetheless. I'd recommend coming here with some friends on a sunny, warm(ish) weekend afternoon when you've got lots of free time to sit, chat, and enjoy a bottle of wine or a nice cocktail.

Did someone say crepes??? Our dinner dates told us not to eat too much at Picaro because we had to save room for dessert.  So after our dinner, we wandered over next door to Ti Couz and sat outside ready to eat some crepes.

I looked at the menu and couldn't decide what to get. Who knew there were so many options that could go on a crepe. The hubby let me pick, but requested that we had to add brown sugar on top. So I picked the Delice (nutella, banana and ice cream (i picked coffee ice cream) w/ the additional brown sugar.  Our buddy made fun of us for getting brown sugar. But hey, everything is just so much better with brown sugar!!!

We get our crepe and it's a big one. Make sure you share with someone...or you'll be high as a kite from all that sugar.

The night was going great. I was super happy eating my awesome crepe and was nearing the last bites when...out of no where some homeless lady falls into my hubby's seat (he stood up to take a phone call) and say hi while smoking her cigarette. Then she turned to look and my crepe and blew her smoke right on it. I almost cried. My last bite was ruined. RUINED!!  The lady wouldn't leave even when the server was telling her she had to. Maybe he should have tried harder cuz she wasn't budging at all. We ended up getting the check and leaving since we were basically done.

Maybe next time I'll have to sit inside so I can eat my whole crepe in peace.

Anyone who poo-poos this place is smoking crack. Or maybe their kids are smoking crack. I don't know. But just pony up to the bar seats and watch the guy actually making the crepes. An absolute master of the craft.

The portions are manageable, the buckwheat is straight up O.G. (Bretagne-style) and the sauces they drizzle over them are famous. I can't really attest to the sweet crepes, as they always tend to be a bit too sweet for my palette, but as to the savory crepes, there are few better on this continent.

I have lived in this area for 10 years and will ALWAYS go to Ti Couz for my crepe fix. I haven't found anyplace better in the city and frankly, would have a difficult time finding a better crepe in the U.S. OK, maybe Quebec, but seriously, these people have it down.

I've been visiting Ti Couz for since the 90's and it is still one of my favorites when it comes to creperies. I'm not a big crepe fan but Ti Couz is the only one tempting me.  Must be that buckwheat flour makes them so scrumptious.  A solid star just for the great variety in the Menu.  They serve well, good portions, lots good healthy and green choices.

Inside lacks some light but on good weather days I prefer to eat outside. I'll keep visiting as soon as the Bay Bridge re-opens. : P

I don't know if they changed ownership or cooks, but the crepes are now so awful, they are crunchy and tasteless.  This place used to be REALLY good a few years ago, but that changed along with its interior redesign.  I ordered a mushroom/onion crepe and they charged $12 for it.  Totally not worth the price.  It is too crowded inside as well.  I would rather go to the crepe place in Japantown.

This is one of my favorite brunch spots and my favorite place to get crepes.  I've been known to go twice in one weekend even thought I live across town.

I can never decide between the Ratatouille/Cheese and the Banana/Nutella, so I usually try to go with someone who's into splitting.  The green salad and the fresh squeezed lemonade are also very good.  Beware of the mushroom sauce which some people loooovvvve but it's too rich for me.

It can be a bit dark inside but they also have a few outdoor tables (thought you may have to wait a little extra).  The service is always friendly and quick. (They get extra love for bringing a bowl of water for my doggy.)

Pick a day.  Any day in July, August, or September will do.
Make sure you have time for quick BART ride.
Take time off for Lunch.
Trot a few blocks west after you exit the 16th Street BART station.

Then stop by  Ti Couz for some delicious crepes for lunch.

Make sure you get to sit outside with your friends.
Try not to get sucked in by their bar.  You're here for standard lunch, not the liquid lunch!
Try to keep your crepe selection in control.  (yes, I know it's hard to do!)
Try their other menu items too.  You can't go wrong here.

Enjoy!

After your relaxing break for lunch with your friends at Ti Couz you will feel refreshed for your afternoon!

The little walk back to the BART station will help your digestion, metabolism, and will assist you from sleeping through the afternoon.

Thank me for this review and recommendation  later after you have been to Ti Couz.  :-)

I always walked by this place since my most frequented restaurant, Picaro, is right next door, but I had never gone in until two weeks ago. And let me say, I've wasted precious time in waiting so long.

Location: The best of locations, right on 16th and Valencia. Close to bars, restaurants, shopping and social activism. You'll never run out of things to do or people to eye.

Space: It's a cute space. Nothing special. More quaint than fancy, but want really makes the space a gem is the outdoor seating. On a sunny day (despite those being rare in SF), it's nirvana.

Ambiance: The people are nice, trendy and hip, but generally not douchey. It's an easy going and even friendly crowd that I met there.

Service: Great service. The waiter was nice and patient. We stayed there for almost three hours and did not feel rushed or pressured. The server made great recommendations and asked a lot of questions to make sure he'd recommend the right dish. The server even let us smoke outside (even though it's not really allowed) and even brought us an ash tray. You don't get much nicer than that.

Food/Drink: Some of the best crepes I've had. I like that they use wheat crepes. The veggies taste fresh. The best thing is that you have complete and utter control over your crepe experience. You can order a three course menu made entirely out of crepes. There are SO many options. The drink I had was absolutely amazing! I have not idea what was in it but it tasted minty, berry, vodka-ishy and was truly one of the best cocktails I've ever had. And it looks pretty, which is the most important part. Their cheese plate wasn't bad either.

Overall: Great experience on a sunny day. Absolutely delicious crepes and great drink with astonishing service and smoking included...it truly gets a 5 from me.

#88 on the 7x7 List: Buckwheat crepe and a French cider

-Tasty?  The savory buckwheat crepe has a nice texture and the dry French cider makes an unlikely yet interesting accompaniment

-Service:  Friendly

-Ambiance: Rustic; plenty of bar-seating

-Worth the trip/try?  This place seems fun to hang out with a bunch of friends for drinks and crepes

We had the traditional Britanny galettes (square buckwheat (ble noir) crepe with ham, cheese and an egg).  Have not tasted ones this good outside of France.  Delicious!!!  We also had the hard (alcoholic) cider with it which is a must for the true Bretton experience.

For dessert, we shared a Crepes Suzette (hot crepe served with sugar and flaming Grand Marnier)!  It was pure bliss and got gobbled up much too fast!!  So again, we had another round of crepes Suzette (one each this time....much too good to share).

Bon appétit et bienvenue à la petite Bretagne à San Francisco!!

Ooo-la-la...From looking at the blue exterior and awning tables outside the restaurant, I knew that this place is hopping for Sunday brunch. Head straight for the sign up board right away, and make sure your lazy ass buddies are there with you, cause they don't sit you until your party is all there.

The four of us got a table at the bar with high stools, and proceeded to savage the french bread and soft butter offerings. Mel P. got a lemon cooler which was presented with a bottle of liquid sweetner...note, we so are lost here that we thought the sweetner was the water so Mel P. poured half the bottle in..holy crap! It was sweet T__T...she got the Ratatouille and fromage (that's cheese ;p). I really liked the clean flavors, but Mel had to smother the crepe with butter cause that's how she rolls (it tells you something when her cooking idol is Paula Deen).
I got the savory crepe recommendation: smoked salmon and caramelized onions set within a wheat flour crepe...ahh...that smoky flavor melted with the sweetness of the onions was perfect.
Renato H. had the sausage, cheese, egg but the whole thing definitely tasted like lasagna...which is always good.
For dessert, we had the de-licious ice cream/glaces...which is in a big parfait cup, swallowing whipped cream, bananas, and fresh vanilla ice cream smothered with chocolate syrup...I thought the ice cream was good, but yes, I don't like fruit touching my ice cream...I like things naked, thank you.
Service: nice waiters, but had to request for check and water a few times...they were hopping but nothing new here.

Be aware that they add a 5% Healthy SF tax onto the tab....

Bleh!  My sister and I ate at this restaurant last week for breakfast.  We each ordered a savory crepe dish, as well as sharing a sweet crepe dish, and also one of their "fruits de mer", which was a total joke, btw.  That one was especially disgusting, and smelled of "old fish" a mile away.  Service was one of the most horrific I've experienced.  Because of all we ordered and the drinks, the table was so full and they wouldn't even allow us to squish one of the other tables together so our dishes wouldn't fall out.  I mean we at least ordered enough for 4 people, you'd think they'd be courteous enough to accommodate such a small request.

I just realized I still tipped them 15%.  Now I'm pissed.  I'm too nice!

I've eaten here several times, most recently last night, and loved it every time.  The savory crepes are fabulous.  They use a kind of wheat that has a different mouth feel - darker somehow, and more substantial.  I usually get the saucisse (sausage) crepe - it's ground so that it's cooked and crumbly.  They put a divine sauce on the top of the crepe.  One drawback is that you only get the one ingredient for $7.25, and if like me you want to add mushrooms, that extra ingredient is a whopping $3.75, taking the cost of the crepe to $11 (over $12 with tax).  That does seem a teensy bit pricey, though the crepes are big and are totally satisfying as an entree. The mushrooms are really really delicious.  They taste like meat, so if you're a vegetarian, I'd go with a plain mushroom crepe.

The alcoholic cider is great, but doesn't pack much of a punch.  The dessert crepes are also delicious.  We got banana/nutella. But again, the nutella cost an extra $2.50.  With sharing a small salad, tax, tip and the $2.40 "Healthy SF" medical insurance surcharge, our bill was $64 which did seem on the pricey end for a fairly casual restaurant.   And I don't get out much, so what do I know?

In sum, the food and ambience are great so I have no problem giving it 5 stars.  I used the bathroom for the first time last night.  You have to walk past the bar to get there - I noticed the bar looks like a really fun place to hang out.  It's deep enough that you can eat a meal at it.  I think next time we'll sit at the bar.
