4 reviews for Thrift Town
this place is an absolute gem. a sparkling, gleaming gem. it's a damn shame (for me) that this place is so off the beaten path. and by 'the' beaten path, i mean MY beaten path.
they've got your standard thrift t-shirts, but i've also found some decent blouses, dresses, and jewelry. oh, and coats! i've found a few nice coats here, including one made of faux fur for when i feel like getting my zsa zsa gabor on. and it was 3 dollars. i mean, sure the coat smells like old lady and kind of feels like carpet, but i wear it all the time.
because of the location, i can only make it by a few times a year, but i always make out like a bandit.
Thrift Town cannot be beat. End of story.
I have purchased countless t-shirts and doo-dads from this huge monster of a thrift entity. They have the coolest crap at the lowest prices.
When I was in high school I would head out there every week or two and would almost always find some funny random shirt or elephant gift to buy.
The place is a goldmine. TRUST ME.
So,
thrift town is my favorite thrift store. actually, the thrift town on Jacksboro in Fort Worth is WAY better than this one. The prices are great, the store is a dirty thrift store and I love it. I love the old western font sign. I love the summer heat appeal of this place. I bought a Jessica McClintock formal LBD once for 4 bucks. I love this place.
Thrift Town has been a cool place to shop my entire life. I remember when it was down the street (it has moved a few times actually I think). There is another one out towards Arlington too. They are a bit overpriced in my opinion. Just because something has a brand name label doesn't mean it should be priced so high people!
