Third Floor Cafe has been a staple of K-town longer than any other place on 32nd street.  New places come and go but none have weathered the true test of time except for this place.  Why you ask?  Well the first reason is location, location, location.  Just a block from the landmark of the Empire State Building, what other place here is going to give patrons a better view.  The hip music and classy ambiance also adds to the trendy vibe of this bar/lounge.  Most important of all is the bartenders that work there.  Most of them know how to treat folks especially the regulars such as myself.  Amidst, the elbow to elbow crowd and the bass pumping tunes, these barkeeps manage to keep the crowds inebriated with car bombs and whatever concoctions that may or may not exist.  Thanks 3rd floor for being an institution where everybody knows your name..........

They have good Happy hour deal. $18 for unlimited fried chicken and a selective list of entrees plus Bud Beer included. However, their fried chicken is just OK but I guess for $18, you cannot really complain!

On the weekends, it gets insanely crowded. There is a good crowd here before and After clubbing hours. Their spicy rice cake is good and they have these cute mini keg available for tables.

When I think about meeting friends to pregame before clubbing, this is almost always the go-to spot. Oh and if you are into Korean guys/girls, this is the place to go as well :)

We ate the BEST bulgoggi and cheese casserole dish from Third Floor.  It's a difficult dish to describe... the combination sounds weird, but it tastes yummy.

The cafe is pretty hoppin' with Koreans on the weekends.  Everyone seems pretty cheery.

Food = B
Service = C+

2 for 1 car bombs from 10 pm to 11 pm at 3rd Floor = worst fcking next day workday ever.

Well, I shouldn't blame it all on Third Floor since Galway Hooker and a half dozen shots of whiskey had it's hand in my current nausea as well.

I just like to blame Third Floor because somehow, as an Asian, you always end up there at one point in the night or another, whether you wanted to or not.  The inevitability is annoying.  The inevitability of you getting far drunker than you had planned is also annoying.  And unless you go for the Tuesday happy hour ($18 all you can drink beer and all you can eat greasy fried korean food) or the car bomb special (2 for $10) its just another Ktown bar with overpriced drinks and too many yellow people.

Brb. Feel another dry heave coming on...

After yelptober fest it was no wonder that my and my fellow companions were hungry after sampling all that delicious-ness...and we were quite boozed up.

Closest choice for food? Why, K-town of course. we opted for a set menu, which includes some soju and a plate of wings. The lychee soju wasn't bad, but I was surprised that they didn't offer more flavors...in particular the yogurt soju...needless to say, I was disappointed. The chicken wings we ordered took a long time to arrive, leading us to believe that it was bon chon chicken........it wasn't. It was plain, old, american style bbq wings. Seriously?! complete with carrot and celery on the side too. If I wanted american wings I would have gone somewhere else. On top of that, our bill came to around $45 for unimpressive food..........

Ok, one more chance for the happy hour deal..but 2 stars for now.

There is nothing exceptional about Third Floor Cafe that makes me think: awesome, extraordinary, I really love it... etcetera etcetera... nothing. However, after have been there several times Third Floor is that kind that I keep on mind when I want to have a good time, a good drink, a good ambiance, good service....etcetera, etcetera.

I prefer weekdays since on weekends get packed and loud...same during Thursday nights; I have to say however, that the weekend ambiance really makes me up one night that I was ready to head home..Thanks... I think.. ~~

Good drinks selection of beers, wines, cocktails, including classical ones with a particular style and of course soju cocktails.. the Lychee Martini is really good, very sweet like a juice... but sometimes why not?   ...they also have food; well, of course they do. But I can't tell you about it since I never try it. I hear from a Korean friend that is ok. The service is excellent, attentive, nice, friendly.. clearly the Korean way. I love the deco.. I really do, modern, soft lights, regular chairs and comfy sofas for different groups sizes.. what more can i ask after a work day? The crowd has been always really nice.

I just feel comfortable here, like in a friend's place; and although I'm not crazy about nothing in particular, being enough good in everything makes me be clearly a fan

So I'm almost used to these hidden restaurants in ktown. They're always upstairs on the 2nd or 3rd floor, and you usually have to go up in a cramped or broken elevator (in that case, stairs). It's a nice lounge-y place that serves unlimited fried chicken and pork cutlet and beer on tuesday nights for $18 per person. Their perfect apple soju isn't perfect, but that's okay. As the night progressed, the soju turned brown, which means they must use fresh apples! That could be a plus or minus, though...

The service is kind of slow, so order your plates/bowls ahead of time (i.e. before you finish)! Or else there's going to be some waitin' time.

The food is mediocre but that's okay, too. We go there for the atmosphere.

GOOD OL' THIRD FLOOR CAFE. Actually, I haven't been in Third Floor as much maybe total of 3-5 times prior to shortly working there as a waitress (and had recently quit). It amazes me how packed and crazy it gets over the weekdays, undoubteably because of the happy hour tuesdays & other specials?

so as for my confession:
I apologize to an unknown asian girl for the drinks I spilled on her on my fourth day of training. That was the first and will never happen again. Please note that I had no previous training as a waitress. I am also deeply in regret of few orders and delays which I had caused, as there was no intended harm. I regret that it concluded to customers (you yelp raters) belligerantly yelling, or having a fiss about what went wrong. After quite a few incident, I came to a conclusion that I was just not meant to be a waitress and had thrown my towel to the ring. Now back to designing as a starving artist ;)

Co-workers (waitresses, manager, bartenders) were actually the best group I came across working in the restaraunt field. Very professional, fair, comes across as respectful and honest group of individuals who are very very dedicated to the third floor cafe. They really are there to service you in the best way possible.

Just to note for you yelp raters..few pointers:
*try asking for service (free stuff) and there's a pretty good change you'll get something. this applies for new visitors who already has few hundreds on their table. *They had few 'speed dating' nights, every Saturday nights. *Go early before 9pm on weekends to reserve/place seats. Even on weekdays, past 9 is hard to get seats due to happy hour specials. *Food service is always slow due to lack of staff in the kitchen. I heard  they have hard time hiring assistant chefs for few reasons. *Food is not that great, at my standard of korean palate or even as bar food. It's just enough to get around grubbing down with cocktails, but not something I'd recommend to go for a nice dinner. Really in the end,  you are investing majorly to their interior design and the table. But who cares, at 2 am in the morning right?  ;)

*Lastly, for those regulars: please, get yourself out of K-town and explore other places in the city. you'll be surprised what you'll find.

I came here twice during my last trip to New York and hung out for a couple of hours catching up with friends. It gets 4 stars because of the 90 to 10 ratio of girls to guys. The view from the third floor of any building in New York sucks, but the view at Third Floor is still great (And the applause sign goes off for that lame joke! Just mark the funny button already!)

Their soju cocktails are good but I liked their gin cocktails enough to order 5 of them.

What this place lacked in flavor, it made up for in great environment and chill feeling. The last time I was in New York, I went to Bon Chon and while I loved the tasty fried chicken and hot waitresses (including the one who made a point of shaking her attractive derriere in my face), it was too crowded and dark. Those are things where Third Floor Cafe has a distinct advantage.

First, let me say riding up in an elevator the size of an airplane bathroom is an entertaining experience. Then to find two burly bouncers is an even more amusing surprise. But once we were seated, service was attentive and quick. We had a 2500 cc beer fountain with fried chicken and the bulgogi. Like I said, the food wasn't so hot. What was amusing were the three girls at the bar waiting to pick up on unsuspecting males like myself.

As my friend and I sat at a table nearby, he pointed out the girls and how they seemed really bored. There's a reason, I explained. They're just waiting for a guy to come along, then they'll get all animated. They probably know the staff here. A guy sits down next to them and all of a sudden like fembots near Austin Powers, they spring into action and start pouring shot after shot. Sadly for them, the guy's friends (boys and girls) come over and eventually the girls figure out they're going nowhere. After the patrons move away, the three girls disband and one of them goes behind the bar to pour herself a drink and hug the bartended.

Shady Koreans... :-P

I liked Third Floor. Not too pricey but a bit more than I would like to have spent.

We went for the Tuesday night special.  I can't believe it took me so long to take advantage of unlimited domestic beer or house wine and giant bottomless bowls of fried chicken for $18 per person.  We got there around 6 and had to sit at the bar, which wasn't ideal but the place was packed and no one was getting up til 8 pm when the special was over.  The fried chicken was hot and fresh, but not a feat of culinary genius.  The sauce they brought for dipping tasted like jazzed up ketchup, so I could have gone for a little more flavor with the chicken.  The sticky rice cakes they brought... I was the only one in my group who ventured to eat it, and I have no idea what it's supposed to taste like so I won't comment.  I didn't particularly love it, but I didn't find it disgusting.  The sauce was good for adding some kick to the chicken.  I made the mistake of ordering an absolutely DELICIOUS watermelon martini and my friend got "the best lychee martini" she's ever had when we first sat at the bar.  Switching to Coors and house white wine was a huge, sad downgrade.  The bartenders were so cute, not to mention friendly and attentive.  I was also pretty impressed with the decor and atmosphere at this place; I was expecting the typical Koreatown joint, but it really felt like a lounge.  They played Jay-Z from Reasonable Doubt all the way to BP3 and dimmed the lights.  I will definitely be back for the Tuesday deal and possibly even on a regular night to sample other Korean fare from the menu.

Food: Did not order any.

Drinks: Horrible, over priced crap. My girl and her friends ordered a martini. Thing came half full, they had to come again and top it off. 100% they topped it off with juice as that thing was severely overpriced and had no alcohol. I ordered a Patron Silver with Sprite. They gave me some off the shelf white tequila, thinking they can pull a fast one. This is NOT a place to drink. Unless you like 15 dollar juice.

Service: Order drinks, bring drinks.

Crowd/Ambiance: Packed with working crowd heads. Predominantly Asian crowd with specks of whites and blacks here and there. Retarded scene, needs more diversity and culture. Having a no-sign elevator entrance doesn't make this place special. Just makes it pretentious. Trying oh-so hard to be a speakeasy yet once you get in the place, it permeates tackiness and gaudiness in an unsophisticated way.

I've heard about this hidden lounge. Getting drunk at dinner, i received at text from my friend saying he's DJing here. Cabbed it over to this secret office building spot. My friend and i were the only non-Koreans. This place was packed. Not disgusting shoulder to shoulder crowded. Just packed where it was poppin. Music was good drinks were made well. Wouldn't come back bc i prefer a little diversity...but interesting place..

On a side note, my friend said the Bon Chon chicken was bangin so i MIGHT actually come back to try just for the food.

Who drinks on a Tuesday?

Deal seekers, hell bent on destroying their livers, that's who!

3rd Floor of course has the $18 AYCD and all the fried chicken, tonkatsu and dokk bokki (rice cake in a spicy sauce) you would care to eat.  See Mom?  I'm being frugal!  (Please disregard the lack of vegetables in this diet, I promise to eat a salad tomorrow).

Unfortunately, the food is awful.  Dry chicken, soggy tonkatsu, greasy, gross, ugh.  In order to make-up for the bad food, one is compelled to drink more to get your money's worth.

However, there's diminishing returns with this theory.  Observe this correlation matrix:

x = Glasses of cheap red house wine consumed
y = Pills of iso-butyl-propanoic-phenolic acid (Advil) needed the morning after

Stopped by the Third Floor Cafe one random Saturday on the way to a party.

I heard the waitresses are hot, but I didn't notice anyone unusually good-looking. The venue's spacious, with a view of the street. There's nothing terribly remarkable here, but it's an okay stop for a bar crawl, or to start the evening. Quite a few people were around[1], undoubtedly for the same reasons we were - for drinks, of course.

We stayed for a half hour, tops. Big thanks to friendly folks for funding and indulging in some vicious, awful-tasting shots, including Bacardi 151, and Jager.

[1] My visit proved that the east coast is a small world: not only did I run into someone I met from Philadelphia that day, I met someone who went to college in Philly, where we both knew the same people.

I like the 3rd Floor Cafe, it's like many of the bars in K-town (or Korea Block, ha!)... anyway, it's so obscurely hidden in an office building/department store above the Galleria on 32nd Street, you have to walk past this security guard, who I'm not really even sure he's doing anything because anyone just saunters in past him anyway, haha! He better not be a government worker!

So you take the elevator up to the... yep, you guessed, the Third Floor. Once you've survived those three trecherous flights up the tiniest elevator in the world, you reach the Third Floor.

It's got high raised ceilings and wall to floor windows throughout, so it's super open, but nice and dimly lit, so you have kind of that intimate feeling. There's a couple seating areas separated by raised levels, and strange architectural (probably  more for the design affect than support) wall dividing the bar from the "dining tables".

It's a fair size, there are a good number of tables, and some couches for the loungey feeling. It's pretty much your typical Korean bar, kind of trendy almost posh, but not too much where you feel stuffy.

The best part about this place is the Tuesday night happy hour special from 5-8pm. All you can eat Fried Chicken, Don Kat Su (fried pork cutlet), Rice Cakes in pepper sauce, and Beer/House wine for $20 bucks. I mean c'mon.... that's awesome.

I used to be able to take part in this when I was unemployed, so it was awesome, I wish the specials lasted until at least 9pm, so that I could make it after work, but probably best that they don't. Otherwise I'd be incapacitated for the remainder of the day.

But a good place, at least try it out, c'mon that's a great deal.

Warning: it's maddddd crowded especially when it's nice out, and when it's a school holiday (lots of college kids).

Enjoy!

I've heard about Third Floor for ages, since I have more than a few Korean friends. The elevator to the third floor is TINY. We made it here one late Sat night to end a birthday celebration. The 6 of us shared a pitcher of yummy soju. The wait staff did a birthday thing that included, playing the birthday song, blowing bubbles, and shaking some hand instrument around. The birthday boy got a dessert shot of something. Pretty hilarious. And for the guys - our waitress was really cute. I heard there is a lot more eye candy there on a typical night.

Having heard of their Tuesday night special, I'm sure I'll make it over here again in due time.

-------------------

Went on a Thurs night. The place was hopping and playing great music. No soju on Thursdays :( and I'm really surprised a vodka tonic is $14!

I'm probably the last Korean in Manhattan over the age of 21 or with a 21+ fake ID to have even heard of or gone to Third Floor Café, adjacent to Koreatown on 32nd St. It's tucked in a regular office building with no signage whatsoever. Anyways, I decided to check it out with a few of my Third Floor veteran friends after hearing about their happy hour specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8pm.  This place is a crowd pleaser for those who want to be seen in the Korean scene. (Sidenote: Ladies, cover yourself because there are some skeevy looking dudes who look as if they are on the prowl, but too scared to do anything about it. They'll only follow you with their beady little eyes.)

After reading many yelp reviews on this place, I finally experienced the infamous elevator ride. It was the size of a broom closet and everyone is all up on each other like it's Circle nightclub all over again except it only fits a maximum of 5. Cozy? I think not.

Walking in, I noticed that the interior is pretty nice. When I first heard of this joint, I assumed to see an interior similar to Pocha, with steel tables and plastic chairs. Instead, we were seated at a small booth where plush red couches and pillows were out for one's disposal to lie down in just in case one reached an intense food coma from copious amounts of beer and fried chicken.  This sounds like a situation I would most likely find myself in.

I started off with a Coors Light, since this was the only light beer they served during happy hour. Okay, I can deal with that. The happy hour alcohol selection isn't really worth mentioning, but it's a very important part of one's happy hour experience so I'll spill. You have a choice of either white or red wine, Budweiser or Coors Light.  :/

Another thing worth mentioning was that our food service was way too slow. After annoying our server multiple times, we were finally served plates of fried pork cutlet (donkatsu) with a little cabbage salad on the side and baskets full of fried chicken. The entrees were mediocre and they weren't anything spectacular, but I felt a need to stuff my face with $18 worth of food.  The donkatsu was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The fried chicken was definitely crunchy, but it lacked a lot of flavor that its neighboring rival, Mad For Chicken has. However, I was beginning to go into my happy place after a few beers and platefuls of fried eats. I was also eagerly wanting to try the bulgogi cheese bap (beef and cheese fried rice) too, but they said that they it wasn't available that particular night. Not cool, Third Floor chefs. Our server understood our frustration and probably saw the saddened look on my face so she quickly brought out the final ending to our meal: ddukbokgi (spicy rice cakes). The rice cakes were soft and chewy and the hot chili sauce was sufficiently spicy to my liking. Overall, my experience here was good, since I was in the midst of great company. If our food and drinks came out more quickly, I would have added another star to this review.

It's so weird how the bars in NYC are upstairs, so when you're at the bottom, you really can't tell there's a bar upstairs.  After leaving Maru, we still wanted to hang out, so I looked on my phone for Third Floor Cafe.  When we got to the address, it looked like a lobby to a hotel or apartment complex, but once you go up to the 3rd floor, it opens up to a small lounge.

The atmosphere here was more lively.  It was more packed, and the bar was completely full.  The ratio of guys to girls was better here, but it was still mostly guys.  Their prices were a bit cheaper than at Maru, with food around $15-20, beer around $6-7, and mixed drinks around $10.

I wish we could have tried some of the food here, but we were already stuffed.

I liked this bar more than Maru, since it felt more cozy.  Maru felt more Ikea-ish, wannabe sleek, but really not all that with the lights turned on.  I would come back to Third Floor Cafe.  I just wish I had some friends in NYC to go drinking with.  Drinking and people watching with hubby isn't as fun as getting sloshed with friends. :)

I have no desire to ever go back to a lounge that is in K-town.  I already knew I wouldn't like it...even though I vaguely remember coming here years ago.
The entrance is sketched...but the inside is actually quite decent.  Music is a complete buster.... i do like the fact that they serve you fruit at the table... other than that... i shall pass on this place.

I asked for my lychee martini extra strong... and you guessed it.. tasted like a grapefruit juice box (such a thing exists).  Not to say I disliked it.. just another reason why I don't order those type of girlie drinks.

This is a tough one and I'm a little torn, but I think this place was much better 3-4 years ago.

Third Floor is great for the $10 dinner + drink special, the cute bartenders and.. that's about it. The service is inadequate and always seems very inexperienced. There's this one waitress with short, blunt bangs that's been working there for a while and she is always in a disgustingly foul mood. Someone please fire her.

Furthermore, the vibe at Third Floor lacks the friendliness of the other Koreatown bars and lounges, albeit the space (actual interior, layout and the deriving ambiance/mood) is preferable to places like Maru which is a bit awkward. The crowd is also lamer here than at other Ktown spots (READ: desperate). It's true what everyone else has said: When you step out of the tiny, ghetto elevator, everyone can't help but GAWK. Why? Are you really that lame? And it doesn't help that the place is always overwhelmingly packed on Thursdays.

But don't get me wrong! I do love coming here when it's earlier in the evening and the place is not so jam packed. It's probably my favorite place to frequent in Koreatown--it's just that all these little factors detract from the actual ambiance but if you're there for a good one-on-one conversation with a girlfriend or a casual date, this is a better spot than Players or Maru (just avoid Tuesday's All You Can Eat and Thursday's Happy Hour).

BTW in terms of the food, the ddukboki is awesome as is the nakji bokeum bap (spicy octopus fried rice). The hambuk steak (hamburger patty steak) is very dry however. If you're craving a good hambuk steak, go to Maru and try their Millennium steak smothered in mushrooms, or Players. That one's a close second.

Lastly, the bartenders here are awfully sweet and nice...looking. :) Probably Third Floor's saving grace!

Been there ages ago... but still fun to visit once in a while. You can not deny the koreness of this cafe.

Korean Tea Cafe by day  where various teas and coffees are serviced in korean way(?) - some feels pricey to me but that's how it is in korea. Meet your friends for some serious conversations - can not do that in starbucks or bar in US.

By night, Korean RockCafe (it is an actual terms for those kind of cafes) - music changes, light gets dim and crowds get drunk and maybe Karaoke, too. You order drinks with food..  Koreans always drink with food. Fun with a bunch of friends!!

You can find me in here on any given Thurs--the place gets popping!

Super chic and trendy Lounge that overlooks 5th ave. If you are coming here to eat--the seating up the stairs in the corner has an awesome view!!

They have some amazing bartenders who make the best lychee and watermelon martinis--super fresh!

Not to mention the super cramped elevator is always a good time--where strangers always become friends in the close proximity!

Thurs nights are good for the Ladies--tons of cuties to mix and mingle with! -It is def an everyone know everyone through someone crowd so be prepared!!

Yummy cocktail sojus amongst an elegant setting. Also, the food is pretty darn good, too.

Upon entering, you're treated a place that's not decorated like most of Koreatown. First off, you have to enter this place through an elevator on the first floor. The exit will be stairs that take you to the back of the building. Thus, entrance and exit will never mix. Secondly, this place is decorated an elgant restaurnt you'd find in midtown. The mood is completely different from the rest of Koreatown, which aims to emphasize the feeling of the Korean culture.

The food and drinks are very good, though a tad bit expensive for the portion size. But then again, this place is cheaper than a restaurant in midtown.

I can't breathe in that elevator. If one person jumps, we're all f*cked. That shiznit is so tiny that it can fit one fat person and two skinny people or alternatively, three skinny people and MAYBE one moderately sized person. If you go on a lucky day.

You're not going here for the $12 cocktails or the Johnny Walker Black (how come Koreans love Johnny?). You're going here to see who else is here. It's a vicious cycle. I've been in NYC for about 6 months or so and everytime I go I see the same post-work peeps here. It's like every "AZN" Korean crammed into this space - My question is, how many elevator shifts did it take to get everyone up here?

Everyone's in business casual as most people flock here for their post-work drink. Which I don't understand because there are so many other/better happy hour/pregaming spots in the city. But again, it's to check out the same Korean gals and guys that come to this spot before they hit up other establishments called "Circle" or "Camel" or "Nikki".

I admit, I come here sort of frequently because I'm dragged by my other Korean friends who have pretty much decided that this is the only bar in Manhattan that they like going to. WHY?!!?!?!??

This is also the default place my friends go to when the line at Circle is too long and people don't want to wait.  And everyone plays it off like it's a great, innovative idea.

"Hey guys! Let's go to Third Floor!

"ZOMG Great idea!!! Jo-wah!!!!"

Yeah bud, heard that one before. Like a bajillion times.

A great beginning to a perfect evening that goes something like:
1) Food + drinks at this place
2) Dessert at a genuine, yet totally random place around 33rd.
3) KARAOKE!!!!!

Awesome place to get together with your friends.  The kitchen is always working it with very delicious appetizers and the bartenders don't screw you by watering down your drinks.

Awesome, no matter how crowded this place gets. Remember - you're only there to get a little bit f'ed up and get some food.  Dessert + Karaoke awaits!

Before 8pm on Tuesdays the $15 all you can eat and drink (beers) special per person is pretty hard to beat. That's probably why it's too gdamn packed (even in the rain!) to find a seat. If you don't mind slight discomfort, I've been known to cram a group of ten around a table the size of an ottoman though so don't let that hold you back. Service was also top notch, serving up bucket after bucket of icey Bud goodness.

I didn't have the same oh-my-jeebus moment that I had at Bonchon across the street, but the fried chicken was aight. The only weirdness is that it's hard to tell what part of the chicken it is so I kept biting into bones and stuff. I also really enjoyed the Tteokbokki or for the white chicks out there, the spicy rice tube thing.

Good spot in a sea of great Korean restaurants but the cheapo menu is worth a try!

I've been here several times and two things never fail to amaze me:

1. the elevator.
2. korean-ness
3. dark dark dark

That pretty much sums it up. It's like a Korean cult up there, low key yes but pretentious only if you know what it really is. It's an ok place to hang out with friends but only if you happen to walk nearby. It's not a destination, but a way you pass through to something better and more exciting.

I admit, this is my new regular Thursday night spot.  The staff is all so friendly and the drink specials are awesome.  Usually, they have ladies open bar until 8 or 9 (but be sure to tip them! hehe)

Thursday nights is when Third Floor gets packed the most (sometimes, unbearably so as people passing by push you around everywhere!).  Or if you're looking for a chill, low-key place to hang out with friends on a weekend night, this is the place to come.

Prices are decent and the food is good.  They have a good variety of drinks, too.

End up keep changing my review after my friend (Benjamin Y on Yelp!) coddles me into it :P hehe But totally deserves the 5 stars.  Once you come here regularly, you really feel at home and everyone is super nice here.  Stop by and say hi!

Spacious lounge-y ambiance with an attentive staff, moderately good "modern" Korean food, and pretty awesome flavored sojus (e.g. lychee, watermelon).  It's a good place to meet up with a few friends, grab a bite, get happily buzzed, and relax before hitting the pavement again for more late-night k-town fun (e.g. noraebang!).

Unbeatable happy hour special: $10 for a dinner entree + cocktail (5-8pm every day)

All soju pitchers ($40) come with a free appetizer (big enough to share b/w 3-5 people)

I like this place, I came here for a friends birthday party on a Thursday night, Im that non asian guy amongst a whole bunch of asian friends lol but this place was awesome.  We packed 5 people in the elevator (which is damn near impossible) and 5 more met us afterwards.

The place is great, good atmosphere, ample room to "lounge" with friends amongst the K-town area, as soon as you walk in you notice the hip electronic music and dim lighting, we were seated in the nice plushy red seats and they joined two tables for us.  We bought 3 bottles that night, engaged in great conversation, did some shots, I lied and told the Korean girls I was adopted by a  Korean family and that my last name was Park lol it worked! haha  The girls who served us drinks and food were very attentive and cute, the light food we ordered  was good (no complaints) and the Soju was also flowing nicely.  Ive come here many times after as the atmosphere is great.

i love discovering a new place in nyc, only to go back to yelp with my seeming unknown and secret bar only to find that there are 82 reviews.  Obviously it's no secret to new yorkers!

This place is pretty secluded.  You enter via an office building entrance next to some manikins, and a security guard who asks no questions.  Walk up some stairs, and you'll find yourself in a super-secretive seeming korean bar.  Lots of couches, nooks, and crannies to smooch, and flirt.

Unfortunately when we arrived the kitchen was closed, so we went across the street to bon chon chicken.  See that review for details...

Tuesday nights feature happy hour from 5-8 pm.   $18 includes all you can eat fried chicken and domestic beer.   Went last night with a few friends, and not a bad option when your in the mood to junk out and drink your share of beer.    This special rate only applies Tuesday night.

Lychee soju was great here.  They even have chilled jaeger.

Ambience was great...trendy and chic.

Great place to unwind after work.

Only downfall was that the bartender didn't know how to make a flaming dr. pepper....

It's ok...I forgive you.

Thumbs up, buttercup.

My sis ate like it was a buffet here for the happy hour: fried chicken and beer...cheap is good, bring it on!

Came on a Friday night and it was pretty packed.  The dj was jamming oldschool hiphop music and the tables were packed with groups of 5+.  We had to wait for a table,  kind of awkward standing in a big group, blocking the elevators.  However, the waitresses were very catering, they even brought over a trayful of free scooby snack shots so we can enjoy our wait.  Awesomeness.

Thumbs up for the tasty flavored soju-watermelon, apple, peach...and good to soak up all that alcohol with some greasy fried chicken! If you want to dance off all that fat you've consumed,  be prepared to dance by yourself or in the hallway going to the restroom....i vaguely remember a dance floor, if there was one, don't think anyone was up for shaking their booty here.

Note to self: Never drink on an empty stomach, especially after losing blood that day. I freaked out at least one waitress when I fainted but I hoped I amused a bartender who got me ice cubes after I woke up. My friends looked on embarrassingly as I pointed at said bartender and repeatedly exclaimed, "He's the bartender" in what is probably a loud drunken hysterical voice.

Great place to chill, to catch up with friends, eat and drink. Definitely recommend the sweet potato fries and fried chicken. My friends' $10 entree + cocktail looked decent. Will need to come back for their other drinks and food. But at least I know the wait staff won't let me die the next time I pass out. I'm such a weak drinker.

Great ambiance, fresh drinks, hot bartenders.. what's not to love?

Came here on a pit stop through Manhattan and loved it. $12 dinner combo of entree + drink can't be beat! I got the lychee martini, which despite the other reviews on here, was still very tasty an well-balanced. We got the tong dak (fried chicken), spicy wings, and donkatsu. Donkatsu sauce has a kick to it, which was surprisingly very good.  All dishes ranged $8-$10.

Great place to chill with a group, order up drinks, and watch the cabs below zoom by. Topped my one night in Manhattan, that's for sure!

Talk about being a hidden gem. I had discovered this place because a friend of mine was visiting and always meets up at this place so I decided to tag along. At first, you're like, are we going to someone's apt for a drink? Then, when the doors open, you're like "Whoa". It literally looks like an apt that was converted into a nice lounge. It's a small place in the shape of a long rectangle.. but they had a DJ and there were a couple bday parties going on. We came to drink rice wine and that's what we did. Regular was okay.. lychee was amazing... and the carafe they come in a hollow whole where they place a frozen block of ice inside to keep the rice wine chilled.. and those little blue glasses are cool. The prices are decent too.. it looks like it would be a good place to pre-game before heading out which is what I saw a couple groups of girls do. They would take shots of rice wine.. and  at $20-30.. it's not a bad deal split with people either.
