Rooms I believe are all suites. Beautifully furnished living room area, with a business desk with a binder that allows you to doodle. Walls decorated beautifully with art. LCD flat screen and a guest bathroom (toilet and sink). Comfortable couches, beautiful small wet bar.

The bedroom is beautifully done with a huge, soft, comfortable bed. A LCD flat screen tv. The closet also doubles as the dresser drawers. The main bathroom is connected to this room. His/Hers sinks, a huge tub, a two-person shower, and a separate toilet room.

The view we ended up with overlooked the pool of Mandalay Bay, so we basically had a head's up on how crowded or not crowded it is.

So this is the first hotel in Vegas that I've stayed at so of course I'm gonna give it 5 stars b/c I have nothing else to compare it to!! The service was so good! Anyway, I stayed in the V suite i believe it was called? Don't remember exactly but it was a very good size. CLASSY! the bed was so comfy, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in my life!!! There was a Flat screen in the living room and in the bathroom..I think there was a flat screen in the bedroom too inside the closet. Anyway, I would definately stay here again but wanted to try something different for my next stay in Vegas. But this hotel will not let you down!! Service is awesome, oh and the POOL! it is Gorgeous. Since it's a part of Mandalay Bay you have access to everything. I Definately reccomend staying at THEhotel, you won't be let down!

Ok, I was here for work - how the F did I score this?  My suite in THEhotel was bigger than my first apartment.  (and this was the pedestrian suite, they only get better.)  The main (!!) bathroom (there are two) was bigger than the bathroom in the house I now own.   A bedroom, a sitting room, incredible views, huge closets.  Two huge plasma TVs.  Ceiling to floor windows, marble, wood...   All the little hotel-size products were so amazing that me & Siouxsie found ourselves raiding the maid service carts and loading up.

VIP Status at THEhotel makes your skin glow without uncomfortable exfoliation.  Makes you forget all those dreary Smiths lyrics you can recite backwards, forwards, sideways.  Makes you say, "Nah, I don't need another G&T b/c I'm so gosh-darn happy (but give me one anyway...)"  Makes you feel like Tara Reid on a good day (or maybe a bad day, which is better???)  Comped mini bar, comped room service, comped drinks at most any bar in Mandalay, comped meals most anywhere in Mandalay.  I felt like a rock star (ok, maybe not quite a Rock Star, but surely a winner of So You Think You Can Dance.)

The pool area was amazing, but crowded, of course... a real fake beach, young, pretty red-bikini-clad waitresses bringing you cocktails (but they stop serving super early so drink up!)  The wave pool at Mandalay was fun, but I was more drawn to the River Float.  There's an adult (i.e. bare-ass) pool area too...
The only only only bad thing I can say is that my room service eggs benedict came without hollandaise sauce - and really, what's the point of that?
Do yourself a favor and Stay Here.

Right now I'm here in Vegas attending a friend's bachelor party and this time we're staying here.  This is the second time I've stayed here.  By far this is the most glamourous place I've stayed.  It's really fancy without being all hoity toity or overdoing it.  It has a modern feel.   Casino floor is nice, and nice variety of shops and restaurants.  The rooms are off the hook.  3 giant flatscreens, clean bathrooms and really nice beds.

THEHotel is one of the best hotels in Vegas with access to all of Mandalay Bay's amenities as well.  This is one of the more hip and upscale places to stay.  The service and hospitality seemed to be pretty decent, and when it wasn't the management made up for it in other ways.

Entrance can be a little hard to find.  Seems to share the self-parking structure with Mandalay Bay.  Location is also not very convenient for walking.  Be prepared to take the trams to Excalibur or grab a taxi .

We just got a standard suite, but it was pretty nice.  Recommend you ask for a room facing the Strip.  Bed was comfy.  Nightstand had a clock radio with iPod interface.  Bathroom was huge with a small flat screen TV on the wall.  Even had another 1/2 bathroom (perfect when you are sharing a room and can't wait for your roommate to get out).  Tub was huge and had a nifty waterfall spout.  Robes and slippers were available in the closets.  Only complaints would be the charge to use the internet.  You'd think a high-end place like this would avoid the nickel-and-dime stuff.  Also the TV didn't have any HD channels, but then again who is wasting their time in Vegas watching TV in their suite.  Not me!

We did one of those online promotions that included a few extras.  2 for 1 at the House of Blues.  $20 Sand dollars for use at the beach cafe.  $10 free play at the Beachside Casino.  These ended up being a bit of a pain in the ass trying to redeem.  We complained to the front desk and the manager threw in $50 credit for room service.  Sweet!  Having breakfast delivered after a late-night out was pretty darn nice considering the early 11AM checkout time.

If you love the sun and water, you have to check out Mandalay Bay's beach/pool area.  Body surf with the machine generated waves.  Rent an inner tube for $20 and float around the lazy river.  (Better yet, buy or bring your own inner tube and have them inflate it for you at the rental spots.  You can buy them at the CVS pharmacy on the Strip).  The only downside is the long hike through the MB casino to get to the pool area.

My friends and I had a great time at THEhotel and we can't wait to come back.

Wow! TheHotel is BEAUTIFUL! We Brought the whole family, my kids & my parents.  One warning though, if your child has asthma, Don't Bring Them To Vegas At All.  I'm glad I brought my son's inhaler.  The smoke from the casinos travels everywhere and through the vents and if someone has asthma it might trigger it.   This goes for all hotels in Vegas actually.

We stayed in TheSuite, 725 sq. feet.  Had a view of the back part of Vegas hahaha but kids were stoked that we were up on the 38th floor.  It was sooo hot in Vegas, so hot that I did not want to walk the strip at all!

So anyways, when you check in, be prepared to pay a deposit for the wet bar, $100.  Yeah, but the nice lady waived ours! Sweet! So here's the thing, if you use your atm/debit card with a visa or mastercard logo the $100 deposit will be charged right away.  If you have a credit card, there will be a hold.  With the atm/debit card of course they will reimburse you back right away after you check out but it depends on how your bank will process that reimbursement.  So like I said, since we had kids I told the lady we're most likely not going to raid that wet bar hehehe so she was kind enough to waive it for us :) I can put the money to better use hehehe

Also another thing, can't hook up your video games either if you brought a console.

it's not near the strip either so best way to get around is cab or take the Tram (free) and walk.  The Tram will take you from Mandalay to Luxor to Excalibur.  Right across from Excalibur is New York New York.  Another thing is just to walk thru the 3 hotels, it's a long walk so bring comfortable tennis shoes.  That was my mistake & God I'd pay for a good foot rub right now!

The lazy pool & the wave pool was awesome too.  My kids loved the waive pool!  Gotta have a key card to access the pool, but if you want to bring your friends or family from other hotels they wouldn't know.  I had my sister & her family come in with us there was like 6 of us hahaha they never said anything.

Expect to spend money on food & alcohol.  We spent a lot on good food =)  And there were good food there.  The Bayside Buffet is pretty good.  I would recommend going around when it's almost lunch time. We paid for our meal around 10:28am and got seated around 11 (breakfast ends at 11am) and were able to also enjoy some of the lunch speacials Yumm!

I think a lot of celebrities like to stay here too.  I saw Kat from LA Ink on Friday, August 1st & Tori Spelling & her husband Dean on Saturday, 2nd.  No I didn't go & try to get a pix or autograph.  By the time I realized it was them, they had already gone off doing their thang hehehe  My mom was like hey that women looks like she was on a tv show before hahaha I was like yeah mom! it was 90210 hehehe

Oh another thing, over in the lounge area in Mandalay Bay near the Casino, I think it's only on Saturdays but there's a cover band that performs hit songs.  They can definitely rock the house!  It was like a live concert with the real Fergie or a Rihana very entertaining....okay okay maybe not the real thing hahaha but they were pretty good.

Cheers!

Pros- Most comfortable bed ever, 3 flatscreens in each suite, 1.5 bathrooms, awesome shower, big ass room!... Your friends will think you're hot shit.

Cons- BURNT pizza from room service (freakin' black!), and their mini shampoos and conditioners don't smell good.

It's a really nice place to stay when in Vegas- especially if you plan on spending more than 2 hours a night in the room! (Hey- it's Vegas, though... how much time do you really spend in the room with your eyes open, right?) I'd definitely stay here again.

by far the best place i've ever stayed in las vegas.   TheHotel uses simplicity to show off its elegance.

We were in the V suite and had a great view of the pool. the bathroom had an awesome bath and an even better shower. The bed was super comfortable.....honestly i can't think of one thing that i didn't like about this place.

I can't wait to stay here again!

In June of 2005 I gave THE Hotel a well deserved 5 stars. I've since returned in January & June of this year (2008).

How has THE Hotel aged? See: Keith Richards.

THE Hotel is literally falling apart:
* our room rattled like an old Buick
* the floor-to-ceiling art pieces are punctured with kick-holes
* both the flatscreen & DVD player required a smack from an engineer to restore basic functions
* we were forced into a smoking room due to issues with the reservation system

Service has declined as well - the staff at THE Hotel don't get around as well as they used to:
* the line to check-in was 15 people deep (2:00pm, Saturday)
* the line to check-out was 50 people deep (11:00am, Monday)
* wait-time for a drink at the Mandalay Beach exceeded 30 minutes

With these wait time, THE Hotel felt more like a ball game  than a posh Vegas hotel.

I will inevitably return to Vegas but next time I will seek-out one of the many hotel/condos that are going-up:
* same minimalist décor
* same lack of obnoxious casino at your front door
* same proximity to Vegas hot spots

But with solid execution. I'd recommend that you do the same.

When the girls like to get down and dirty, we like hotels with ample closet space, ample counter space in the bathroom, and...wait, that's all we really need.  We found ourselves in THEhotel for a bachelorette party and the suite we stayed in fit us, our clothes, our shoes, our make-up, and our booze just fine.  It helped that the suite was chic, modern, and had TWO bathrooms.  Did I mention there were only three of us in the big ass suite?

I also like the laid-back feel of the lobby.  Sometimes, it's nice to walk through a hotel and not hear the ringing of slot machines.  Oh yeah, Mike Tyson hit on my girlfiend in the elevator.  Scary, but memorable.

If you are a modern day girl, with city chic taste, this little Ian Shrageresqe boutique hotel in the Mandalay is just the place for you. I loved everything about my stay except for the toiletries. I took home a bottle of lotion which sits on my desk at the office. Everytime I use it, they can tell by the scent... can't really figure out the smell, but it reminds me of margaritas.

Well I returned home yesterday after the completion of this weekend's extravaganza. Of course it would not be complete without a review of the two main events and the services we received thereof.  At minimum, I will attempt to discuss the tasks that I did to make sure that both the Mandalay Bay Hotel Towers and Pure Management did not take advantage of us.

THEstay: We booked the Media Suite at Mandalay, the website states that the room's prices starts at $510/night. In reality, that price is for a middle of the week booking and is off peak. Although, we booked this room almost 6 months in advance they offered us:

1st Night $689.99 / 2nd Night $779.99 / 3rd Night $779.99 / 4th Night $689.99

The room was guaranteed at 3pm, according to their staff the room was not ready and it was already 5pm. Maggie the staff member discounted the 2nd and 3rd night $100.00 for our inconvenience.  Therefore saving a total of $200.00 on the room, but I was not satisfied. They stated that it would be ready at 7pm; I told them that this was unacceptable and in exchange they gave us complimentary dinners at their in house restaurant the 'Bayside Buffet'. So Francis, Wendell, Clarence and I headed to their restaurant. It was an interesting beginning to a weekend that would spell a great deal of challenges. When it was all said and done these are all the items that we received free of charge from the Mandalay.

3 Roll Away Beds @ $15/night = 9 x $15 = $135.00

2 Videos = $ 35.00

Dinner for Five @ Bayside Buffet = $ 150.000

Spa/Gym Accommodations = $ 35.00

I could not imagine why there were so many problems checking in, I kept thinking to myself that here we are going to spend more than $3000 on a room and they can't even follow through with the promises as set out with their reservations division. I spoke with several managers, after which they reassured me that things would improve. After two days of complaining, I had come to the conclusion that they would rather solve our problems than hear us complain the entire weekend.

I stayed at Mandalay Bay for the longest time, until they opened The Hotel.  The Hotel shares the same casino and restaurants area with Mandalay Bay.  This hotel is super glamorous!  Their bathroom is all marbled and they have the biggest bathtubs; beautiful bathroom (that's so important because I like taking baths).  They have a plasma tv inside the bathroom too!  How awesome is that!  The bed is like over Bellagio; big, fluffy and comfy!  They had 3 plasma tv in all....one in the bathroom, one in the bedroom, and one in the living room.  It's the most modern, most techno savvy hotel on the strip!  My favorite is their buffets.  OMG, the warm king crab legs with butter...so yummy!  Mandalay Bay buffet is my top 3 picks for the best buffets in Vegas!  Their dessert is delicious...I personally like their vanilla yogurt...it doesn't taste like yogurt, taste like ice cream.  Its just so rich and creamy; with the rasberry sauce and the white chocolate chips...soooooo good!  The Hotel is one of the must-stay hotel on the Vegas strip!

TheHotel definitely leaves a mark as one of the most upscale and modern hotels in LV. Right when you walk in the high ceilings and marble décor grabs your attention. The design is simple with colors of brown, black, and some beige. What I like the most is when you enter, you are not overwhelmed by tacky casino floors and machines. You feel like you are at an upscale 5 star place. The rooms are spacious with the same design. We were in the 2 bed suite and the beds were simply amazing. The most comfortable hotel beds I've slept on. There is a TV in both rooms including the bathroom which makes it perfect for a group of weary travelers. The bathroom is spacious enough to house 3 girls who like primping themselves. Housekeeping is great. They replaced a blow-dryer that was dead when I asked. We left the room in a state of confusion and they cleaned around and moved things only to make it neater. Gotta love the black out curtains as well. Going to bed at 730am from a long night has never been so pleasant! The pool is probably one of the best features alone with their Eye Candy bar in the center of the hotel. The only complaint I have is that the pool was a bit of a walk from TheHotel to Mandalay Bay. I don't like walking through the casino look like a wet fish. All in all, I would highly recommend this place for travel stay. Another complaint is that a later check out during the weekend is impossible. Check out time is 11am. Good luck to the hardcore partiers from Saturday night/morning!

A formerly great hotel that is losing its edge a little bit, probably because of MGM's noted disregard for the little details.  Brilliantly designed lobby and common areas, and the suites are quite large - though rather poorly designed for parties of more than two.  The higher rooms on the Strip side have superb views - a little lower, Luxor tends to get in the way. Easy access to MIX is a big plus - hotel guests can take the hotel's elevators straight to the restaurant and sneak around to the lounge, avoiding the line downstairs.

On the negative side, THEhotel is a hundred mile hike from the Mandalay Bay pool area, and the casino isn't very close, either. If experiencing the pool is a big part of your travel plans, you are much better off staying in the regular Mandalay Bay tower. Some of the carpets are looking a little tattered, and housekeeping seemed to take forever to get the rooms done - one day, they forgot my room entirely. The large screen plasma TVs are out of date, and there was no HiDef programming available when I last stayed there. Not that anyone generally watches TV in Las Vegas, anyway, but a group in a suite might. Overall, the suites seem to have actually fallen behind the quality of the newly upgraded rooms at Mandalay Bay.

It wouldn't take much to make THEhotel a top-tier property again, but the way MGM is losing money and focusing all its efforts on CityCenter I wouldn't bet on it happening soon. It's still a nice place, but unless you have business at Mandalay Bay your money is better spent at Wynn, Venetian, or Palazzo.

The best hotel in Vegas so far. Everything about this hotel is a 5 star.
I stayed at the corner suite and holy shit, what a view!! The suite came with a spacious living room, seprate bedroom and a spacious bathroom. All three rooms came with flat screen tv's.
Service was good and parking was not far from the hotel.

This place is great.  Every room is a suite.  I get annoyed when a hotel room isn't at least as nice as my home sweet home when I'm spending big cash and this doesn't dissapoint.  I love Manadalay Bay, especially all the pools, so it's great that you get to use the entire facility, not just those attached to THE Hotel.  But do check out MIX and THE Bath House, which are specifically attached to THE Hotel and for their guests.  Both were great and highlights of our trip.

THEhotel is THEmost elegant of all THEhotels on THEstrip. You don't feel like you're in Vegas when you're in THEhotel, with its lofty and airy but dark paneled walls, beautiful and simple bouquets of white flowers, and an excellent collection of art hanging on THEwalls (THElobby has pieces by Robert Rauschenberg, Robert Long, and Richard Serra).

THEsuites are spacious and THEbeds are comfortable.

THEswimming area includes a gigantic wave pool and a lazy river as well as a few other pools and hot tubs, with a "beach" full of lounge chairs and cabanas that you can rent for $250 or more per day. THEbeach and pools were incredibly crowded, so we only stayed a short time.

One complaint - they charge for wifi, which in a hotel that expensive, you'd think it would just be included rather than nickel & diming you.

Also check out my review for miX, which is THEfancy restaurant in THEhotel, owned by celebrechef Alain Ducasse. It was nice but incredibly expensive.

My favorite thing about THEhotel - THEsticker that they leave on your toilet paper that says "THEtp".

The Hotel is the hotel for me when I have a conference at Mandalay Bay each year in Vegas.

The last three years, my husband and daughter came with me too. The Hotel set us up with a terrific suite with all the things we needed to take care of our little one. It was the first time she stayed in a pack and play ... it was very useful. When I returned from the trip I added one to our collection of things for taking care of the baby.

This year I went on my own with three other people from work. They shared a suite so they would have more money for entertainment.

I had a suite on my own on the 60th floor. The guy that checked me in took such great care of me. He upgraded me to the second largest suite in the house ... it was 2200 square feet. No really. It had a dining room that seated ten along with a living room and a sitting room near the master bedroom. Nice.

When I showed pictures to my husband he thought I was staying in the lobby.

The floor to ceiling windows gave an unusual perspective and view of the strip. It was mesmerizing at night with all of the lights. I was able to see the recent eclipse while I was here and it was amazing from this perspective. After this royal treatment, it was a little difficult to come home and back to reality.

After a week, it was time to come home.  I missed my daughter, but it was fun to have some time on my own. Spa time was fantastic at The Hotel. It is one of my most favorite spas in the world! (That will have to be another review).

Somewhere in my travels back, a packet of DVDs was lost from my carry-on luggage. I looked everywhere for those DVDs but I could not locate them.

Today the mystery was solved. I received a packet from The hotel thanking me for being a guest and enclosed was my collection of DVDs that were lost. (My business cards were in the package too and that is how they knew they were mine). Now they are found. Thank you The Hotel and all of the amazing staff there for taking such great care of me. I really appreciate the extra special service and I will be back again next year.

Save me that suite! I have a lot of friends that want to come too.

An excellent hotel which does not make you go through a casino to arrive at your guest room.

While i do love it, it does show its age, some rooms have not been fully maintained, but you get a killer design and space.   living room and bedroom, with a tub big enough for 3.  wishful thinking i know.

anyway, i gave it 3 stars instead of 4 because they really need to keep their attention to detail on it.  some areas are showing their age and are getting worn out or broken.  ie water spout on tub was frayed.   and on another stay the sofa in living room was not there, and two regular chairs were there in it's place.

you can get great deals and the hotel is fun.    though arriving through a big parking structure maze is kinda annoying.

This place is huge and modern. High ceilings and rooms that look very modern. The room I saw had a Master bedroom, office, and two bathrooms. With at least a 30" Flat panel TV and beds that look like they cost more than a small car.

This is too trendy and modern for my liking. It is fairly isolated from the rest of the strip. But it is right next to the airport which is convienent for people who fly in and out. Walking distance to MGM, the Luxor, and New York New York. The best part is the tram that can take you all the way to the Sahara hitting every major casino in between.

Once I have a chance to visit "the beach" pool thing. It will probably get five stars.

"Spring Break '99" Road Trip Stop #12
After Hamid the cabbie speeds off I get a message of what floor and room my friend and his parents are staying at. Walk through the epic lobby and a little shopping area. This part got a little confusing because of an practically unlabeled restaurant that looked like a hallway and eventually led to a dead end. But once we got to the elevators we rode up them. Leave it to an elevator ride to remind you how much you just had to drink. Feeling good we stopped by his room regrouped and found that his parents already left for Harrah's. Once my girl of a brother got done in the bathroom we headed out to the cabs.

Amazing!

We stayed in Vegas one extra night over this past Memorial Day weekend and decided to try out this hotel.

It was incredible. We upgraded to a suite which had 2 bathrooms, a living room and a bedroom. Everything is high-class! 3 flat screens, trendy, plush furniture, comfortable bed and a view to die for. (From each room!) The bath had a large tub, standup spacious shower, a double-sink and separate toilet. In addition, there was a half-bath right beside the main door of the entire suite which was nice for guests.

The lobby is sleek - it has its own entrance separate from the casino and Mandalay Bay. Dark walls, high ceilings and simplistic decor.

The staff was efficient, classy and professional. We will defintely be frequent visitors again.

I love the place, I hate the name... really, though, I can just imagine a suit clad smart ass coming up with the name!

I loved the separate bedroom. The HUGE bathroom was very convenient when a girl needs to get ready!!! Not to mention, I know I certain someone that really liked that there is a second bathroom!!

I was really impressed by THEcafe (not trying to be funny, that's what is called). We had lunch there with a few friends and EVERYTHING was delicious! From the burger (which I liked more than the one I had at the Burger Bar later), to the omelettes, and fruits! I highly recommend it for good, quality, casual dining.

The Pool was great too!! Didn't get to do any poolside gambling, but it looked nice!

One Complaint: Beds could be better. They were not bad, but a friend had a regular room at Mandalay Bay and they were much more comfortable.

Great spacious rooms.  Very nice hotel.   They don't have a swimming pool of its own so you have to walk over to Mandalay Bay if you want to go swimming or to soak in the Vegas sun.

Stayed here during one of their promotions so I got a great price on the room and was very pleased.  Would definitely stay here again......even though their casino took all the cash I had on me!

THEhotel is definitely one sexy ass place to stay. Every aspect--walking in THElobby, checking in at THEfrontdesk, going up THEelevator, putting in THEkey into THEkeyslot, and settling in THEroom--felt luxurious and high class helping posers live the dream. The room has 1.5 baths which is great if you pack the room and a wall separating the bedroom from the living room.

Only perk is they charge for everything, like incoming calls and also for cups. Jesus, even Imperial Palace don't charge for cups even if they are like plastic ones (just kidding IP, I love your value proposition). THEhotel is a little bit far from the main action area but the place is breathtaking and classy.

The rooms at THEhotel are great, and the pool area is probably the best part of the hotel. The hotel was clean and quiet, but I have to deduct 1 star for the staff. They were rude, did not care about us at all, and seemed bitter. They really don't care about your stay.

Whenever my friends and I need a break from SoCal life we head to where else, Vegas baby Vegas (funny since half the people partying in Vegas on any given weekend are probably from SoCal).  So the summer of last year we got a pretty good rate here and since we get access to Mandalay's pool we thought why not, it's 105 degrees outside.  It was at the pool area that our tale of true romance, bad tans, and saber tooth activity starts.  While drinking on my beach chair (side note: order beer, the mixed drinks at the pool area have way too much sugar, and sugar, alcohol, and extreme heat only means instant dehydration which makes you more thirsty) this saber tooth tiger who looked like she'd seen to much sun in one lifetime, walked by and she was sending out serious pheromones.  Apparently some young hunter with a really bad jersey tan caught a whiff and the hunt was on.  Unbeknownst to him, a wealthier older big game hunter was in the area and he also decided to join the hunt.  After watching the early stages of the hunt, my friends and I decided to cool off by hopping in the pool for a while.  Soon we were joined by this couple.  With her man's back turned to her, and as she faced us, the girl threw out a silent hi (you know where she mouths the word hi, but no sounds actually came out her mouth), to one of the friends in our group.  I don't really know if her man had eyes in the back of his head, but he soon turned around and showed her his sensitive side, by splashing a shitload of chlorinated water into her unprotected face.  Call me a hopeless romantic, but nothing says I love you more than temporarily blinding someone.  As hard as it was to pull myself away from that heartwarming public display of affection, I had more important things to do, like watching the conclusion of the saber tooth tiger hunt.  So would it be the bad jersey tan or the rich older man.  In the end the rich older man's extensive portfolio allowed him to buy a bigger net, and the young hunter with the bad jersey tan was left with a beer in one hand and enough bronzing cream to last a lifetime in the other hand, and that ends our pool story.  Now onto the part of the review that might actually be useful.  Our room was a really spacious suite with a separate bedroom.  It easily holds 4; double that if people don't mind sleeping on the floor.  They had a nice bathroom in the bedroom area and separate half bath in the other room.  It's a really long walk to get from the Hotel to the pool but at least it's air conditioned.  I've stayed here twice and enjoyed my stay both times.  The Hotel at Mandalay gets 5 stars for nice rooms, good service, and endless free entertainment at the pool.

I've probably been to Vegas 40 times since 1992, and I've never stepped foot in this hotel.  The Girl got a nice package deal with flight for two and 2 nights here for $650.  It's a little strange how it's set up, as an offspring of Mandalay Bay it has no big driveway of its own, but its tucked inside a big parking structure.  This made us confused when being dropped off and picked up by shuttle.  It also took us a little time to get acclimated to where was out and where was the casino.

Pros:
**Tasteful decor in the rooms and in the halls, nothing chintzy
**Great bathrooms, plush bathrobes
**Lots of mirrors and floor-to-ceiling windows give the place a big feel (check out my wide angle pics!)
**Convenience store is open 24 hours, unlike Venetian.
**Bathhouse is on premises.
**Blackjack tables were generous that weekend.

Cons:
** 35th floor window washers scared the bejeezus out of us at 830am wtf.
** Our first room was for handicapped, which we are not.  Bathrooms are VASTLY different.  We requested a new room and they complied.
** Elevator LCD display often had a disturbing Windows error.
** The whole theme with the{insert word] got a little annoying.  OK so I get THEpaper and the THEsoap but I don't need my scratch paper to be called THEdoodle.  ShutTHEf#(@up.

I stayed here for a friend's 21st and it was AMAZING! We were total VIP 24/7 and the room was fabu. Trust me, we'd know...we stayed in it ALL day thanks to the night before (you know you have a problem when you haven't seen sunlight in 24hrs ;) ahaha) -see pics-

Also, the front desk was super helpful (they found my id...it was at Cesar's...I don't even know HOW it got there).

ANDDDD when we got into our room there was a TON of WB stuff in there, left over from previous occupants, we obvi got a new room (high floor baby!) but we snagged the WB stuff and totally were in the know before anyone else.

heart Vegas

Yes, this hotel definitely deserves to have the 3 letters of its name in capital. I had reservations at Mandalay Bay, but they had sold out of rooms by the time I checked in so they upgraded me to a very sweet suite at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay. I will never stay at another Vegas hotel again.  You can actually get some peace and quiet in Vegas. But then again, who wants peace and quiet in Vegas?

Thus beginneth my friend's bachelor party weekend reviews of several LV establishments.

First: THEhotel.....Las Vegas's answer to the W.  Same chic house music in the lobby, same I'm-so-pretty yuppie scum crawling the lobby (with the occasional hooker mixed in).  Being one of those yuppie scum (drinking an Anchor Steam, trying to be obvious about it), I enjoyed this place.  Bartenders at the lobby bar were cool, staff was friendly, suites were very nice and well appointed.  Overall, very nice,

Bitches: long lines to check in or out....how about more staff on Sunday afternoon?  Yeah, OK, NOBODY leaves on Sundays.  Also, the 5 mile hike to the pool through either the casino or the indoor restaurant row.  After you've drunk all the water in your canteen and broken your hiking poles, you can stop at the blackjack table and drop 300...then you can get to the pool tired and broke.

But, I'd stay there again.

I've stayed at THEhotel 2 times, and both of those times I've had a great experience.  The ladies at the front desk are great... I've asked for a corner suite (which has a little more space and more privacy), and they were happy to upgrade me (upon availability of course).  I prefer staying in this hotel over Mandalay Bay because the suites here are more modern, and its just a nicer hotel in general.

The suites have always been immaculate.  I always enjoy making use of the oversized tub, especially after partying all night in Vegas!  I admire the sexy layout of the bathroom... the tub and the shower are right next to each other so if you like, you can watch someone take their shower through the glass while you're waiting for them in the tub to join you. ;)  The king size bed is very comfortable, and the huge cushioned headboard against the wall was a great idea -- I'm sure you could imagine why.

whenever I'm in vegas this is always my first choice.

-Suites !which is perfect for my notorious snoring. I get kicked out to the front room sofa by the ball and chain.
-flat screen tv's galore.
-2 toilets!
-separate shower and bath tub.
-back to the tub...it's amazing. don't forget to bring your supply of mr bubble!
-the products (soap, lotion, etc) are amazing. I always make friends with the cleaning lady for a little extra.
