LOVE that spa is open on Sundays! Had excellent massage from Tiffany on mothers day and used their steam room.
Had seen some comments that steam extra cost, etc but for $10 was worth it as it is a PRIVATE steam room which is nice and different from catch-as-catch can with some other big name salons downtown. They also seemed pretty liberal with the time allowed in steam room. There's a shower, locker and similar set up you might find at an Urban Oasis or similar but without the same price tag.
Think their pricing is completely reasonable and they frequently run specials (mothers day pkgs, etc.) which make it an easier choice to treat yourself. Again, the hours seem to accommodate a working mom's schedule with the Sunday hours. I'm a fan! -

I went there for facial and manicure
Facial was OK, i had better but this one was not bad at all.
But the manicure was horrible. I am not even sure that they dispose all the tools, ive got cut twice and it was kinda painful. So i will not go there for second time. -

I don't know whether this is the place I would have gone had I researched massage therapists, etc. for several months, but after pulling a muscle in my upper back/neck while working-out this morning, I needed someone to save me from the constant pain and immobility of my neck.
I was very pleasantly surprised, and will definitely go back. First, it's convenient, being just a few miles away and parking is great. It looks like a little nail salon, but once you go back to the rooms, it is nice and clean and comfortable and the woman who did my massage was absolutely perfect. She really seemed to know what she was doing and was very thorough. I say "seemed" because I have only had a few massages, so I am no authority. She was also very nice and professional. I will definitely be going back. -

I'd give them a 3.75 stars.
I went on a Tuesday night for a one hour Swedish massage. They had ample slots when I called the night before.
Don't be misled by the Google map street shots. The place has been renovated since. It was clean and bright. I was a few minutes late (thanks rush hour traffic) so I went right into the treatment room.
My therapist quickly introduced herself and got to work. It was a good massage. I feel like she had a very good understanding of anatomy/musculature. Some therapists feel a need to bludgeon you into a pulp, but she used smooth, medium-pressure. I don't know how to describe it except that it felt very accurate. She didn't chat with me too much, which I prefer.
The cons: The music was at times really weird -- very synthetic -- which distracted me. I found it odd that there was no intake, no asking about specific needs or medical conditions.
My massage was $65, which didn't feel like a rip off. It wasn't the best massage I've ever had, but it was far from the worst.
I'd say this is a good choice if you live really close to it and like a straight-forward service-driven salon experience. If you're looking for a destination relaxation/spiritual spa experience where you get a fluffy robe and flavored water and chill out post massage reading magazines -- this place is not it. Like the massage, I'd characterize it as "proficient." -

Wow. I just came from a massage here and am still in awe. Seriously.
Especially considering I've been searching for a good massage therapist for several months since moving back to Chicago from Portland and this place is only two miles from me. After about four months without a massage, I went to Chicago Touch only a week ago and my experience was so completely awful that I needed to go again.
This was SO good that halfway through my hour massage I asked if there was any way to extend it to 90 minutes. Cindy said she would ask another girl if she could continue for another 30 minutes--she could. And Jordana might have even been more amazing. I had a deep tissue/Swedish combination and they primarily worked on my IT band and neck/shoulder areas. They were really professional, sweet, thorough, responsive, and STRONG. I completely recommend this place. -

I LOVE Ann...she's the owner and has given me the best massages of my life. Somehow she always seems to know where the "trouble" spots are even when I don't tell her. I love that Ann knows what parts of your "body" work together and she will do some reflexology --which I now swear by because of her.
I highly suggest that you pay the extra for the steam & go in before your massage it's worth it. In the winter the steam room is the best, it really helps to loosen those tight muscles up !! I can tell the difference when I don't take the time to steam, as it takes her longer to get the muscles warmed up.
If you are looking for a relaxing massage try the other girls----if you really need deep tissue massage therapy to get the kinks out go to Ann---she is the best in the area and worth every dime. I'm so glad I found her many moons ago when she was down the street in her old location, which was very simple. This "new" spa is really nice and quiet !!! I love that you don't hear other doors closing or blow dryers running in the "salon" area.
Book with Ann you won't be sorry--but not on Friday nights as that's when I like to go! -

I found the same deal. $50 for an hour between the hours of 9-12 M-F. So, I made an appointment. I was sure to tell the girl on the phone that I'd like the $50 deal and booked an 11am appointment on a Wednesday.
Walking in the woman at the desk was very nice. I told her the massage I wanted and about the $50 deal I saw online. She asked if I brought a coupon. I said no and that I told the woman on the phone about it. Plus I don't think there was a coupon...just the deal from 9-12. So she said ok, how about I charge you $55 and the massage will be a little better. I was reluctant and asked about the $50 deal again. She said for $55 I'd get a better massage. So I thought, I'm not going to argue, and paid $55 for the hour massage, which is still a deal, but not what I came in for.
The massage was good, not great, but It was very relaxing. I would go back for the $50/hour massage, but don't let them talk you into paying more for nothing! -

I went for my first massage at this spa when I had a kink in my neck that just wouldn't quit. One hour with Ann and I felt so much better. There were times when I just about wanted to cry during the massage because she knew exactly where it was the tightest and really worked it out hard. I have been back several times and have never been disappointed.

This is my fav place to get a massage in Chicago. The salon is a bit unasuming on Milwaukee/Elston intersection..but it's fantastic inside.
It's just as beatuful, professional, as Exhale or any other place downtown. Massage is around 70, and 10 if you want to use the steamroom. Great layout here
Real treat for Northsiders. Ann is my favorite! She is the only person I will let massage my back. I sit a lot at work and she always knows the knots I have and my back/neck/shoulders feel incredible afterwards.
I've gone to other places if I have a coupon or deal somewhere..but I haven't found anyone who knows how to get rid of pain/knots as well as Ann. I just went today..and I feel fantastic!!!!! -

Price was good, but massage was mediocre at best. I asked for combination Swedish/Deep tissue massage. Told her where I was in need of work. She proceeded to grind her elbows into my back. Skinny little young Polish girl - not enough hand/arm strength, so she used elbows.

I have been going to Ann for years approx. 5. Never really had a problem. Until the advertisement for June special. Which states that ANY massage from 9a.m. to noon is $50.00! Great deal? Yep, until you don't mention the ad then you are charged the full price. In person you are not offered the June Special as stated in e-mails. So if you don't know they will not tell you! That's where the rip off is, especially if I am/was a long time customer. In conclusion, Thee European Spa has lost 2 faithful clients..... I found a place that is exceptional on Oak Street - only $35.00 massages and they are absolutely awesome. Mamosas, coffee and/or tea are offered. The rooms smell like meadows of aromatherapy scents. The music is appropriate and the masseuses are very well educated and polite. p.s. they also ask if you have any injuries that they need to be aware of! Thank you Lord!

To prepare for the new job, my friend and I decided to indulge in a full body massage. We found a special, $50 for an hour. Whoooo-hooo!!! You can't get a massage for less than $110 in SF, so I was excited. I'm not counting the cheap-y Chinese places where you can hear the women squawking at each other in the neighboring rooms. It's not Burke Williams, but it definitely had a nice ambiance and my masseuse Anna was great! Her hands were strong, and It was painful, but a good pain.

Really please with the atmosphere at this neighborhood spa. I went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet and relaxing. The hours are great - how could you NOT find a time to get in. The owner is really nice and the products are all top notch. I had a manicure and she made my sad hands look great. I will definitely be back!

This is the kind of massage that smacks the health back into you. Do not plan to do much the rest of the day except drink water. They healed my heel pain without my even mentioning that I had a problem. They expanded recently & have a gorgeous mani pedi room - best pedi chair I've ever cuddled up in.

I want to like this place even after several times of going but I would really like it if they didn't charge you for using their steam room for $10 for 20 minutes! At Heavenly Massage in Morton Grove if you get a massage the steam room is complimentary.
The massages are good but would not recommend the mani/pedi. The lady who did my mani/pedi the two different times I had, did a strange unconventional way of removing my old nail polish. She used a nail file to file away the polish! I had to tell her to stop it and use nail polish remover and then she was really rough with the way she filed my nails and pushed my cuticles too hard.
I've gone here because I get gift certificates from my family plus it's close to home and convenient but I would like to try other massage places hopefully near home because I feel like mush and so relaxed afterward all I want to do is nothing! :o) -

I love this place! The spa is so charming and super clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Prices are great. Had a couples massage with my hunny for Valentine's Day and both of us felt wonderfully relaxed when we left. Go there! You will not be dissappointed!
