Wow, a gorgeous hotel room with balcony and beautiful view of Lake Washington!

Unfortunately, the room was above the wedding reception tent and there was a wedding the night I stayed here. Fortunately, the wedding didn't last very long into the night. Everything about the room was wonderful, I enjoyed it very much.

Great hotel on the lake, great amenities. Full sized bottles of really nice shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion, all the niceities in the bathroom, bathrobes, king bed and pillows that rival the marriott, at much less $. Wedding central, so be aware that you may share your airspace with wedding music and wedding celebratory sounds/noise. Book a lakeside view room and use your AAA to reduce the price 20%.

Stayed at the Woodmark with my wife and 2 year old twins. We loved it. Location on the lake is awesome. The staff went the extra mile on even the most mundane requests. Suites were a nice size, bathrooms were perfect and the beds comfy. Highly recommend if you're staying with kids or just a weekend away.

I can only say great things about Woodmark.  It's clean and beautiful. The employees were all fantastically friendly and welcoming.  They made me feel very welcome here, and they took very good care of me during my stay. The room was great, very beautiful and comfortable.  I also loved "Raid the Pantry"- free snacks from 11pm-1am. Awesome hotel.

This resort is absolutely beautiful! The website doesn't do it any justice. It's directly on the waterfront and is very quiet and peaceful. Good restaurants around the resort as well.

My plastic surgeon http://www.yelp.com/bi... presented me with a gift certificate to this hotel after I'd referred more than a dozen clients to him... it was a total surprise, but much appreciated. My former boyfriend and I have birthdays four years and four days apart, so we treated ourselves to a birthday getaway back in 2003.

This is probably the most luxurious hotel that I've ever slept in. The bed, the linens, the towels were all exquisite. The room was QUIET... no sounds from the hallway, the room next door, or the room upstairs. That's my idea of bliss, and if I had the money to spend on this class of hotel when I travel, I would, but usually we have to settle for two stars or so below this level... Embassy Suites is more our usual speed, though I get a kick out of staying at the Fairmont in Vancouver, BC, once a year or so.

We stayed in a regular room, but they have several levels of suites that are even more sumptuous than a regular room.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the romantic setting. The meal downstairs in the hotel restaurant (Waters Bistro) was fantastic for its overall impression, though the food was not especially memorable. We liked the midnight snack option, though neither one of us appreciated the cigar room -- even the slight wafting from that room was sort of gross. But maybe that's gone now with the smoking laws (yay)!

Valet parking here made that part of our stay very easy. The only bummer was that they charged for Internet access in the rooms. That is no longer the case, of course... the Internet access is included, as it should be.

This is a wonderful hotel to host an event.  We had our wedding here.

The location on Carillon Point is just lovely.  Right on the shores of Lake Washington.  During the summer months, they raise a beautiful tent right near the water so you can host a successful outdoor event rain or shine.  For our wedding, they also opened the interior ballroom area and lounge for our guests which allowed for a band, dancefloor, and fun flow to the party.

We stayed in the hotel our wedding night and loved it.  The suite we stayed in was lovely with a water view, and at quite a reasonable rate.  I have also had business conferences onsite and enjoyed the facilities from that perspective.

The restaurant in the hotel is lovely, but there are also a number of good restaurants next door including the Yarrow Bay Grill.  All of the restaurants have spectacular water views.

I wish I had more positive things to say about my stay at The Woodmark, because the setting is truly beautiful and the potential for a stellar experience is everywhere. I stayed at The Woodmark for a wedding on Labor Day weekend, and from the moment we approached the front desk upon our arrival, we received nothing but snobbery and condescension. They were unable to give us the room that we had reserved several months in advance (we requested 2 queen-sized beds), and instead said that they would send up a roll-out for us. Hours later, we called down to the front desk to inquire about the extra bed, and were told very rudely that it was not possible to accomodate us, because the room we were staying in was not large enough, and a roll-out would be considered a fire hazard. No apologies were made, no alternative arrangements were offered, and I find myself doubting that we would have heard from the front desk at all regarding the matter had we not followed up.

We encountered the same condescension and rudeness during our breakfast at the hotel's "Waters Bistro." It took 15-20 minutes for us to get our server to bring coffee to the table, and were treated like we were wasting his time. We also noticed that many of the guests around us were served promptly and received much more friendly service. Unfortunately, we left with the feeling that this is a hotel that prefers to cater only to older guests who appear to have a lot of money to burn. I filled out a comment card after our stay, hoping that they would at least acknowledge the problems that we experienced there - but we never heard anything. Apparently, they didn't care enough to respond.

They appeared to take good care of my friend and his wedding arrangements, and that was really the most important thing about our trip, but we will never be returning to The Woodmark again.

Pros: beautiful setting, free kayaks available for guest day use

Cons: horrific customer service, below-mediocre dining

my friend got married here and it is one of the best wedding/hotel events i have ever been to. ever.
the wedding went really well, the tent supplied enough coverage and warmth. the backdrop was amazing-water and yachts and mountains with a whole lotta sky. nothing beats that.

it's great for a small/intimate wedding affair. after the ceremony, we stepped out on the grass to eat our hors d'ouevers while they switched the tent area into seating. it was great. the food was buffet style, but everything was really yummy. some of the best wedding food i have had actually.

the service from the wait staff was also prompt and courteous. very well done.

their dance floor inside was a teeny small, but given the size of our wedding, it really ended up not mattering.

for a great location, great service, great food and providing free parking for wedding events i give woodmark 5 stars.

well done!!!!

One of my favorite hotels.  It's beautifully situated and inside it's just plain charming.  I remember the beds as surprisingly comfortable, the food (including room service) as impeccable and the views as just perfect.  Have stayed here for both business and a romantic weekend and would recommend it for either.

Located on the shores of Lake Washington, this cozy and luxurious hotel is perfect for a romantic weekend retreat. When it isn't raining, the views are spectacular. The amenities are wonderful and downtown Seattle is only a 15-minute drive.

This is a top-notch hotel that is also a great wedding factory.  They set 'em up, break 'em down, and bring in the next one efficiently, but you still can't avoid being aware of or even bumping into people from the wedding before or after yours, whuch can make it all feel a little generic.  However, it is all beautiful and professional, right on the water, and the food is awesome.  I hear that weddings can be stressful, so if you want one that is predictably exquisite, this is the place.
