14 reviews for The Westin Tabor Center, Denver
I love Westin in general, and this one lived up to the experience they try to provide guests. The Heavenly Bed and bath are, well, heavenly. This hotel is in a great location right downtown so you can walk to lots of places and explore the area.
You have to pay for parking, but that's par for the course at most hotels in downtown corridors.
Attentive and helpful staff, prime Denver location, toiletries were well stocked, flat screens and the room service was pretty good for room service when we were too tired to go out. A very comfortable visit. Overall, I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Maybe this says more about the types of hotels I normally stay at (at the "state-rate" for work), but to me, this was totally deluxe.
Right in the heart of downtown Denver; very friendly and helpful staff; awesome room with a view of downtown, a king sized bed, two chairs, and a desk to work at; a flat screen TV with lots of channels yet nothing on; and a cute gym with the super awesome indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. Had I more spare time, I would have spent considerably more time amusing myself swimming from the inside to the outside to the inside to the outside.
Great location, great service, and since I was there for an event that served breakfast and lunch, I was actually blown away by the lunch options. Amazing food.
And nice treatment with our snacks, coffee service, pastries, and cookies.
Oh my goodness - and the happy hour? The lemon/lime/strawberry water was something to write home about. I would actually go out of my way to go past between 5-7 to drink some and take some to go.
I would absolutely stay here again if I was in Denver.

Found a great deal for this hotel and I'm a big fan of Westin's, so we decided to give it a try.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience. Everyone was super friendly, from the check in desk, to the valet guys, to the amazing server Sara in Augusta for breakfast. I swear the staff may even have microphones in the rooms because when we called for a wine opener, they were there in 30 seconds. Then we complained (to each other) about the rough towels and the next day, we had much softer ones. It was awesome.
As for February 2009, the hotel is under construction, so when we went, 2 floors were closed. It didn't bother us one bit though and it was nice to hear we were staying in a very newly renovated room. The room was great, large and comfy.
The only problem I had was with the hot tub. We were in Denver for a snowboarding trip and it was a must to have a hotel with a hot tub to relax the muscles after a day out in the snow. However, when we went down to the pool area, the hot tub had no water in it!! It was so upsetting - and I wish someone would have told us before we changed, made the trek down there and walked into the freezing cold in our bathing suits.
Other then that, great hotel, great staff and great location! Oh, and loved the free coffee/hot chocolate every day in the lobby!!

I'm only staying here for 1 night as a site inspection for a possible group. I am VERY impressed with the hotel staff, attendtion to detail (they projected my client's logo on the wall in the bar to welcome them), meeting space, and the hotel rooms themselves. The hotel was completely remodeled within the last year and it looks great! My clients say everyone who comes here loves it and I can see why. It's also in the best area of downtown Denver, walkable to lots of shops and restaurants. I hope to be back soon! I only gave them 4 stars since I am only here for 1 night and I realize they are trying to impress us to win our business. I'm I come back a second time and am still impressed I will change it to 5 starts.

This is a really nice hotel but for the price it was just ok. The bed really wasn't any better than a mediocre motel.
Some cool stuff:
1. Free wifi...in the lobby. Well, at least there is some free wifi somewhere.
2. A very cool safe in each room
3. Some rooms equipped with weight systems for people to workout right in their room.
4. Flat-screen TV.
5. Comfy bed.
Some not-so cool stuff:
1. One soap bar for two adults...very tacky. Shower and use the same soap for your hands at the sink...
2. WiFi in the room is priced per night or half-hour

I always stay here when I'm in town. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and modern, it's quiet, there is a good gym and an indoor/outdoor pool you can use all year around.
The Palm is downstairs, where you can eat a decent meal for about the price of average room service.
I will never stay here again. They may be doing work around the hotel but it isn't clear. The general vibe is an incomplete hotel & room. Oh and I somehow ended up with one of the only rooms with a brick wall view.
A few features of my room include a noisy heater/AC unit that woke me up twice, broken office chair, and did I mention the view?
I almost forgot to mention the broken door on my co-workers room. You need to know the "secret handshake" to get it open. The staff seemed to know how to open it- I guess they've chosen to not fix it.
I do have to say the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful but it doesn't make up for the dated and stale amenities.
I'd only recommend this hotel if it is the cheapest rate you can find.
Built in the waning days of the prior oil boom. I have been going here for 20 years. Very little has changed other than a few amenities added here and there. Group house, focused on catering and events. Rooms are standard--if a little on the small side. Not much to do in hte hotel, which is OK since its in the heart of LoDo. If you want a comfortable regular hotel at this end of the mall--stay here.

I haven't stayed in the Westin yet but we just held an event there. I can't imagine a better venue!!! The staff was amazing, friendly, and talented. The facility was BEAUTIFUL! The event went perfectly and the Westin is to thank.
Really great people to work with. They will make any vision a reality for you!

Pretty nice hotel, great location in Denver and had a great view of the rockies. Only problem I had was a splitting jet lag/altitude headache night of arrival. Had real trouble scoring advil. Problem is -- that there is no gift shop and the vending machine was broken and the desk clerk gave me wrong directions to the Wahlgreen's down the street. I was so miserable searching for chemical relief...
Everything else was primo -- room service menu and preparation is good -- get the pot-stickers. I like the modern furnishings and the bed kicks ass.
Go there, but bring your own drugs -- (I guess that's universally good advice)

A very nice swanky no-tell "hotel" right in the heart of Denver.
Wonderful views from every room!
My little bro works here and he gets me great rates whenever we travel.
The Red Sox also room here when ever they play the Rockies.
Go Sox!

This hotel is absolutely amazing! I was lucky enough to book it for less than $95/night on hotwire, I swear it was like I hit the lottery. A friend and I spent 4 days/ 3 nights there and by the end of the trip we did not want to go home.
The hotel is right smack in the middle of everything! I mean it was connected to the ESPN Zone, which was heaven sent considering this was very much a sports oriented trip. Invesco Field was about the furthest outing we made and even then it was only about a 10 dollars cab (tip included). It was insane because we were there when the Rockies clinched with their win over the Phillies, so all of downtown was buzzing.
The room itself was just as impressive. The bed was oh so comfy and the double shower head made want to install one at home. I had a beautiful view of the skyline, that was just breathtaking. The decor was upscale but not uptight.
The staff was yet another highlight. Every individual we encountered was super polite and attentive, in fact I've never had such good service at any hotel.
I would definitely recommend this place!
